Hotel Albert 1er - Paris

I just love my stay at Albert 1er. From the location to the room to all the basic amenities there. I got my room ready earlier than expected and it was perfect. The room is very clean, the bed is very large for a single person and I like the open window that lead to the outside. The bathroom is superb too. And with the free wireless internet, my stay could never be better. The location is a plus point, coz it is very close to Gare du Nord and I can see the hotel right after coming out from the station (to the left). I don't take the breakfast though coz i think it's very pricey since you can get similar kind with less than 5 Euro. Overall, I just love it. And maybe gonna choose this hotel again for my future visit to Paris. Thanks to the very friendly staff that make my stay a wonderful one!

The location of this hotel being so near to Gard du Nord makes it ideal for travellers arriving at Roissy airport. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and have been satisfied both times with the convenience and service we received.

The location is great, next door to the Gare du Nord. Room fairly quiet and clean. However, a very dirty utility room for staff was left open (without any staff in it) just next to my room door. The door card suddently stopped working one night, had to go 2 times up and down on the elevator. The internet (for a charge) stopped working for the last 2 days of my stay for no reason.

The hotel is located near Gare du Nord that is very convenient for travelling to the suburbs and it takes only 30 minutes walk to get to the city center. The rooms are not too big but very clean and well equipped. The staff is friendly and can send you an official reservation confirmation if you need it.

My main reason for choosing this hotel was that there was air-conditioning in the rooms, but it was not efficient enough to ever make the room comfortably cool. The room was on the top floor just under the roof so probably got hotter than others lower down. Unless I opened tha window it was very stuffy. The breakfast was very good but costs 13 Euros extra so not worth it if you don't want to eat much. Convenient location if arriving at the Gare du Nord. Just around the corner is an interet cafe that is much cheaper than using it in the hotel.

central air system did not work well at all but weather allowed opening of windows at night; room was average; VERY close to train station; breakfast fair but at extra charge, good service and excellent coffee; very very small elevator the size of a door mat! but overall impression was good; will stay again; good hotel choice for a short stay

I have stayed in the Albert 1er before and have always found it convenient place. only disappointment this time was my room situation : window opening on to the fire escape. should I stay there again I will insist on a better situated room.

I visit Paris often for pleasure and business. This hotel is good value for money and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is easy walking distance from the Gare du Nord train station and for anyone staying one night or two and has a need to be close to the train station, I highly recommend this hotel. If you preferr to be more in the center of Paris and closer to sights - then this is probably not the hotel for you. Although the ease of connection to the Paris Metro from this hotel is convenient.

A clean hotel, ideal for Eurostar travellers as it's only about 4 minutes walk from the Gare du Nord. Although it's adjacent to a busy road, my room (not next to the road) was very quiet. There are 6 floors to the hotel, accessed by a rather small lift. Breakfast room on the ground floor (I didn't take breakfast). Small lounge next to reception, but no hotel bar. Public internet terminal in lounge (uses telephone card for payment).

I asked for 2 twins and initially was given a room with only one twin bed, but that was quickly remedied. However, we were only given one double. It worked for our needs, though, and the staff was nice and helpful.

The room is very small, noisy and the Air Conditioner does not work. Even though I have a non-smoking room my room was smoky because the Air Conditioner unit recycles air from the hall way of the building which was full of cigarettes smokes.

If a person wishes to remain close to the Gare de Nord, yet walk safley around the right bank of Paris, this hotel is ideal. The staff is friendly and helpful, and Montmartre is a pleasant evening's walk away. I would return, for certain!
