This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Paris. I have paid a similar price in the past for a far inferior room. The location is brilliant as you are within easy walking distance of four Metro stations which means you can get everywhere in the city very easily. The man on the desk was exceptionally helpful and explained this all to me. The room was huge and lovely, the bathroom spotless and had a bath rather than just a shower. For the first time in many years of travelling in Europe I found a kettle and facilities for making a hot drink - so welcome after a day's sightseeing! They must understand about the English and their cup of tea. The room was fairly quiet considering the hotel is between two roads and Paris never seems to sleep. There was some noise from surrounding rooms but nothing my trusty earplugs couldn't cope with. I do think the breakfast is expensive but there was a very good selection of food. Also there are various cafés in the surrounding area you could go to instead. I had a lovely stay and will definitely use this hotel again.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Air conditioner didn't work. We asked for a room for 4 adults and they had a mini sofá (too small for two), hair dryer didn't work, tub would fill up when taking a shower, bad smell in bathrooms, dangerous neighborhood (there was a robbery in front of the hotel). THe worst of all is the treat of the staff (besides the cleaning people that were very nice). In te recpetion the people in charged laugh at us and other client when complaining. They change us to a bigger room were the bathroom smelled very bad and the window had a view to a terrace with people working (no privacy at all). The rooms were very dark with not eonugh lights. They were having work done in the hotel and the noise was imposible to handle since 9 am. Please not stay there... París is great but look for other options

Our stay at the hotel was very pleasureable. The Opera and Grand Boulevards is a great area to stay, and the area immediately around the hotel has many cafes and restaurants. We'd certaintely stay here again.

The hotel was surrounded by scaffolding during our work started around 8.15am each morning during our stay. This wasn't a problem as we were up by then anyway but it did mean that we couldn't open the windows or access the balcony as they were sealed for safety reasons. Other than that we couldn't fault the place. The location was good with everything that we wanted to see being within walking distance. I would happily stay here again.

The hotel experience was positive. It 'a hotel to recommend. I will recommend also to have breakfast outside the hotel because inside is very expensive. 15 euro is too much! For the total price should be inclused. In Paris I've been there many times and will return, and if I can, in the same hotel. E 'next to the Metro Bonne Nuvelle, about 350m in 10 minutes.

Very nice hotel, very clean and spacious (especially in Paris). Unfortunately some customers behave as pigs: smoking in rooms, noisy late in the night ...

The size of the bedroom was a joke. I assume it was a converted cleaning cupboard. The "bathroom" was about the size of a coffin and about as much fun to be in. A man with a strong bladder could have quite easily reached the toilet from the bed and so could probably have avoided this tiny space anyway. The "desk" was a small shelf, the "wardrobe" was a plywood cupboard on the wall, the view was of a couple of walls and the TV was bolted onto a small space in the tiny entrance passage. Thank goodness I was on my own - I doubt whether two well fed people would actually be able to move. Check-in took 15 minutes as the staff could not get the electronic key working. Same again the second night and I had to be personally escorted to my 5th floor room. I only booked this hotel because the hotel I have used at least 20 times before (same price, 10 times better) was full. Never again!

Staff friendly and helpful but: I had to climb over the toilet to get into the shower; shower set up with "mini-skirt" curtain so tiny shower room flooded necessitating using all the towels to stop the water flowing into the rest of the room. Useless empty fridge whirring away until I turned it off about 1:00am and TV remote didn't work. Breakfast started to late to try it...the high spot is the Wi-Fi is good, fast and free ...overall, probably worth half the price but thankfully only needed to stay one night.

Breakfast is to expensive (16E), we went to La Brioche Doree located at the street corner. Elevator was out of order but was repaired at the end of our stay. They had someone to carry up luggage. Excellent location. Very clean. I would not hesitate to recommend it or to go back again.

We were a family with 3 adults & shared a junior suite which comprised of a large double bed which was very comfortable & a temporary couch bed which was not very comfortable. The room was very quiet. The bathroom had a decent bath & shower. There was a free safe in the room & coffee/tea making facilities also. The reception was pleasant & the front desk staff friendly & helpful with excellent English. The hotel was in an area with plenty of coffee shops & bars with McDonalds nearby & a supermarket also. It is near 2 underground stations. we purchases a 2 day ticket for €15.45 each & used the metro to do all the sights by day & to go out again at night. Metro closed at 1.00am & we felt safe & secure even late at night. You might need some french to book your tickets though. Good location & happy with the hotel, particularly the quietness. 0

On the negative side, the elevator was broken for the first week of our two-week stay which was an inconvenience (though perhaps not as much for us as for others). And the wireless Internet connection is useless above the third floor. Housekeeping service was oddly inconsistent i.e. sometimes we got towels of both sizes, coffee and milk; others, we got nothing. Over all, however, our stay was a positive experience. The room was bright, fairly quiet and not too small (by Parisian standards); the beds were comfortable; and the air conditioning worked well. The location is central for taking the Metro to museums and monuments, and the desk staff were pleasant and helpful. There are also a number of very good ethnic restaurants in the area including an excellent Northern Chinese place right across the street. We're vegetarians; so this was an added bonus. I'd say this hotel is suited to young families and couples of any age. We'll probably return.

The service is poor; the staff was not friendly and lacks competence in customer service; The room was supposed to be air conditioned, but air conditioner did not work the whole night though we got a discount; the staff (guy) was not familiar with Best Western Travel gift card.

Two issues with this Hotel on our stay. The bathrooms had been recently updated. There was no water for the afternoon we arrived, and the shower set up isn't that great (water gets all over the floor). The air conditioning here is a joke. It goes for 20 minutes and then cuts out. Despite complaints to the front desk this issue was never dealt with for the two nights we were there and lead to one of the most uncomfortable nights I've ever had in Paris.

The breakfasts for 12 Euro's were disgusting, the bread and croissants were like something from a supermarket in England!! One of the nicest things about breakfast in France is a good strong bowl of coffee, and lots of fresh bread & croissants. We chose to eat outside the hotel were the quality and cost was better. I thought the rooms were over priced for the standard. They felt dated, and lacked character. Althought the room we had was a good size. The location is not bad, but felt a little seedy.
