We went to Paris at the beginning of October, and Hotel Acropole turned out to be a great choice: it´s near good restaurants, metro, a variety of stores and the Hotel itself is cosy, comfortable, with a nice and handy staff to provide information on all cultural and touristic sites available.

For those traveling with a car, this is the deal. You can park in a private garage (added cost is reasonable) and then take the underground to downtown Paris. Desk help was excellent and spoke perfect English. Bonus...the best French pastery across street...no lie....

Pros: Excellent price/quality ratio; small room but enough for two people, bathroom is amazing; all the equipments are included in the room, very impressive; staff are very friendly; location is just 20 meters from the subway and in 15 mins you can reach all the attractions. Cons: No Air-conditioning(but I guess there are no hotels within this price ragner in Paris that have AC). It was kind of hot when we went there, so it is a little bit hot in the room if you close the window when you sleep, but if you open it, it is noisy outside(The room is very sound proof though, so no problem if you keep the window closed) All in all: you probably cannot find a better one at this price level

Initially we were given a lovely bright rooms to begin with which were all clean and the bathrooms were great. Our rooms although lovely proved to be a bit noisy with the window open (it was very hot), but we asked to be moved to some back rooms which were not as bright but it was so quiet and we could sleep with the windows open and it suited us perfectly. The hotel was perfect for our brood of 3 kids and 2 adults, and some of the front desk guys were exceptionally friendly and competant, but I am sure a big smile from us always went a long way. If you need to change anything make sure you get the lovely older guy as he really knows what he is doing.I would stay here again.

The best part of our Paris trip was the Acropole Hotel. Right off the Metro we were able to access any sight seeing spot you would want. At night the city street light up with exactly what you would want from Paris. The room was bright, clean and the beds comfortable. Internet wireless free & easy to access. Local restaurants were very good, friendly and affordable for Paris. Staff was amazing! Local pastry shops are a can't miss, post office directly across the street. Would highly recommend the Acropole.

All'hotel Acropole ci siamo trovati molto bene.

I needed one night of lodging and the Acropole was perfect. Close to the subway, good restaurants nearby, completely remodeled room including the bathrooms, tv, etc, free wireless internet. The room was small but comfortable. My only complaint was that to get fresh air, the windows had to be open and the street noise was loud. Didn't seem like the room had AC.

The hotel was nice, the staff very friendly and easy-going. The position itself is not great, though there is a Métro station right in front of the hotel, as well as a Tramway one. From my room (7th floor) the view was rather nice - I could see the Eiffel Tower. The room was not really large, but enough for 3. The bathroom was new and fairly large. The only downside is that we had to ask for one more towels (we were in 3, while we got only 2 towels) multiple times, but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. If I visit Paris again, I'll probably stay here.

I was very disappointed to find that the room rate coming in off the street was approximately 20% less than I was obliged to pay having booked with Venere. Maybe I was naiive, but I had assumed that Venere would get me a good rate. I have learnt my lesson. I didn't spend enough time on research, and I now realise that I could have got a much nicer and better located hotel than the Acropole. It is functional, but has no charm whatsoever.

Although room was a bit on the small side it was absolutely fine. Very quiet. Bed was extremely comfortable. Metro very close indeed on direct tube link from Gare du Nord and good buses into town. We had our breakfast in local cafes which are close and pleasant and charged about the same as a breakfast in the hotel. It was a pleasure and we would certainly use it again. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel, located in a pretty quiet area. The subway is in the front of the hotel,I could hit all the locations within less than 45 minutes ( Louvre Museum, Champ Elisees,The Invalides....). A trip at Disneyland with the subway and RER takes almost 1 hour. The employees are competent and nice, offerring you a pleasant stay. Spaciousness of rooms is good enough for someone who want to visit Paris and planned a budget trip. Me and my family were really satisfied and we will definitly return to this property.

The accommodation was exactly as described on the Venere website. It was easy to reach as per the instructions. Travel to sites of interest from the hotel was easy using buses, metro or tram. We even walked from the Notre Dame to the hotel and from the hotel to Montparnasse. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. There are excellent and cheap eating places in immediate vicinity. I would definitely (and strongly) recommend the Acropole to couples visiting Paris. I did not see the bigger rooms, so I dont know whether the rooms are suitable for couples with children.

For those who knows Paris, this 3 star hotel is one of the best options avaiable. Nice location, quiet (in the back´s), lot of services in the sorroundings (restaurants, creperries, boulangerie, etc. If you want luxury, this is not the place, but it´s a very cussy Hotel. Very nice cost benefit and very good for the Paris standard of hotels. I stayed there with my wife and doughter in august, and it´s a clean place. Stairsteps to arrive at the first elevator.

The hotel was clean, spacious and nice, while the staff was very welcoming. I was able to access my room a lot earlier than the check-in time indicated, which was quite appreciated after a long flight. The hotel is located just a few steps away from the subway line (number 4) and tram, which brings you to the heart of the city within minutes. I based my decision on staying at the Acropole on the reviews at Venere.com and I found the ratings to be quite acurate. It was not a luxury hotel, but the room, bedding and bathroom were very clean. The room was small, but plenty big enough to spread out our luggage. The bathroom was just like the picture on Venere's site and there was plenty of hot water for a shower, and a hair dryer and soaps/shampoo/etc. were included. There were only two towels, but we recieved clean ones everyday. The windows were doubled, so that shut out most of the noise from the street. The walls, however, are not sound proof so there is potential for noise if the people in the next room are not quiet. We heard people a couple of nights, but we were usually so tired from walking all over Paris that it didn't keep us awake. We never ate breakfast there, but the small dining area was attractive and the fresh fruit looked great. We had to actually walk through the dining area to get to our room. We stayed an extra night and were charged the same rate. The people at the front desk were always helpful and polite and spoke English. I needed to make a phone call to Germany using the phone in our room, and the person at the front desk was great about telling me how to do it and what the charge approximately would be (which wasn't much). I especially liked the restaurant on the street across from our hotel: Paris Orleans. The food was excellent and the service was even better. There is also a street vender beside the restaurant that makes the BEST crepes in all of Paris. Every night there was a line of people waiting to get crepes. The train station exit is almost right in front of the hotel so that is a definite plus when you're hauling luggage or toting a heavy pack. It was easy getting to all the museums and other places...just hop on the train which is right by the hotel and you are at the Notre Dame in a few minutes. Hope this is helpful.

The Acropole at first seemed nice. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. The elevator is on the second floor so you have to carry luggage up a case of stairs - not handicapped accessible. The rooms did not have air conditioning and there was not a fan which would have been nice to have to cover up the voices from outside the room. We put our do not disturb sign on the door the previous night because we had traveled from Greece all day and got in late and the housekeeping employee woke us up three times. Then when we checked out the credit card machine was down and they made us go get cash which we then had to pay a fee at the ATM after we just got cash for the cab ride. It was just one thing after another here. Although, they did provide us with a corkscrew.

It was hot and humid in Paris when we were there. Unfortunately, the hotel has no air conditioning--not even a fan. However, the street noise was so loud that we couldn't open our windows at night. The hotel should provide fans or air conditioning, particularly for the rooms on the street. Also, there was a mini-fridge in the room, but after stocking up on perishables, we discovered that neither of the refrigerators in our two rooms worked. The desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Acropole is a left-left bank hotel but it is at the terminus of the metro so access to Paris centre is pretty easy. There was a ton of construction (new rail lines) so the street was torn up and Paris is loud (quiet times between 2-5 a.m) and it was warm so you get the choice of noise or heat. The staff was friendly and we had an amazing view of the Eiffel tower but we had one of the larger rooms (ask for the biggest room when you get there). The staff was nice and the Autopassion Cafe was remarkably good for a theme restaurant. We ate breakfast out. Nice place for the price. Clean, comfortable, no frills.

Chose this hotel as it was the best rated of the three stars and I wasn't disappointed. Friendly staff, convenient location, and though the road is noisy the closed windows block almost all the noise. In my experience single rooms are often poky with poor facilities but this was excellent e.g. bath as well as shower, and surprisingly spacious room with front view not fobbed off with dingy central courtyard. Only a lack of anywhere decent to eat out - but with the metro so handy it's easy to go into town for somewhere.

I thought the hotel was great. It was easy to find since we drove and they had a secure parking garage 1/2 block down the street. The hotel does have an elevator, but you need to walk up about 15 steps to get to the elevator. The breakfast was wonderful and I did not think it was anymore expensive than buying food elswhere. The bakeries may be cheaper, but there is not a place to sit down and eat. The metro was just outside the hotel door so we felt very comfortable coming and going at all hours of the day. The staff was very friendly and tried really hard to make your stay perfect.

Very good price / value ratio. Breakfast is quite expensive - but we did not need to pay for our 9 year old daughter. And they served a breakfast buffet with rolls, baguette, croissons, pain au chocolat, cereals, sausages, cheese, marmalade, yogurt and lots of other stuff. Only the coffee was disappointing. The 2 bed room we booked was located at the back site - so it was perfectly quite. And it had a full size 3rd bed. Staff was very helpful - at the reception they spoke beyond French and English even German.

Good competent people, kind of dull part of town, for Paris; but maybe a 15 - 20 min walk to 5th or 6th Arr. Being right in front of a Metro final stop (Porte d´Orleans?) pretty convenient, but if you´re a night owl and miss the subway you´re looking at 10 - 20 Euros taxi far to get back home.

I traveled to Paris with my 2 sisters and we truly appreciated the staff and location of this hotel. It provided perfect access to the metro and the managers and maids were consistently kind. Each manager seemed to have his own sense of humor which was always refreshing after our days of tourism. Our room was large with a large, private bathroom. Further, the reviews we read prior to our trip cautioned against the breakfast. We found the breakfast very good and served with such hospitality! Overall, we'd recommend this hotel but we weren't too excited about the surrounding restaurants. And--the traffic was loud, but isn't that part of being in Paris?

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is conveniently located just steps away from a metro station. Since we were traveling with a small child, this feature (as well as the nearby parking garage where we could leave our car) was a great help to us. Our room, although a bit small, was comfortable and fairly quiet. We faced a busy street, but the double-paned windows insulated us from practically all outside noise. I did notice that on the first floor, however, the street noise was much more noticeable, so it is advisable to ask for a room higher up. The walls between the rooms were rather thin, but the only time we noticed this was in the morning when we could hear our neighbor banging around in the bathroom. It didn't wake up our daughter, though, and she is a light sleeper. The breakfast was very good and the ladies who served it were extremely pleasant. It was a bit pricey, but for me it was a good choice as I had to be somewhere at an early hour and did not have time to go to a cafe. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Hotel Acropole and would definitely stay here again.

Plenty of cafes/restaurants nearby. However, the noise from the other rooms was poor at times. The cleaners tend to leave the room doors open and come back later to close them. So do not leave anything valuable in your room. Overall, reasonably good value for money. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Excellent city hotel, only a few steps next to Metro station, quiet, good and friendly service, small rooms. Basical knowledge of french language recommended (not obligatory) for breakfast wishes. No dinner in the hotel, but we were sent to a good restaurant next door.

Hotel & Staff met expectations. No disappointments. Great location next to Metro Station. Room was quiet except for some sirens in morning rush hour - good reason to get an early start or to close the window. We would stay there again. Vancouver, Canada

Staff were very accommodating and eager to please. The map was good but I thought it was a little closer to Paris than it actually was, although it only took 20 minutes on the Metro.

This was a small and very welcoming hotel. the reception staff were particularly helpful and friendly. The location is ideal right next to a tube station with excellent connections

I ejoyed my stay at Cropole. It was fun trying to speak French and Italian or Spanish to the attendants.

With a family group of 6, our stay was fantastic. Can't beat the price. There are two bakeries near the hotel if you want to skip paying the costs for breakfast. The hotel is just next to the metro station which made it very convenient to get to anywhere within Paris very easily. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and quiet. The staff always with smiles and friendly. Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Paris. Would definitely stay there the next time we visit Paris.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room opened out onto a big junction so was a bit noisy with windows open, but when windows closed it was OK. Onlu complaint I've got was that the towels were a bit threadbare.

The rooms are really tiny and it was extremely hot in the hotel with no way to get air to flow. There is no AC and you are located at a very busy intersection with honking and sirens all night long. Very small bathroom and expensive breakfast (dont't buy it!). The location of the hotel is right at a metro station so you can get on and off very easily. I would NOT stay here again as even a poor hotel in the US is better than this one.

It was oke, your nearby the metro thats a plus Only for the breakfast you pay extra even if you have 1 coffee and 1 croissant, it cost you 8 euro per person. They don't tell you when you are checking in and there was no information by the reception about it. Only a menu and prices of the diner. If i had know i'll had mine breakfast somewhere else for that kind of money (a real french breakfast) The room was clean, but very small and our view was four walls. When we got out en came back all doors of the rooms where wide open. Everyone could came into your room and steel something, that was very strange. And there was nobody arround, no cleaninglady or whatever.

The hotel was fine, the night desk man fairly surly, the lady serving breakfast coffee very sweet. My stay was tempered by the fact that my backpack with my camera and passports was stolen from in my car right in front of the hotel.

Stayed at the Acropole for two nights with my wife and both of our mothers. Excellent, for a three star hotel. In particular, the sound-proofing of the rooms/building was almost beyond belief. Someone was jack-hammering beneath us on the street, but we barely noticed until we left the building. Also, the man at the front was able to recommend two local restaurants that were very good, 'A la bonne table' and 'Vendanges'. I read in someone else's review that they were upset that they were not informed that breakfast cost extra. The staff at the Acropole must read this website, because when we checked in, reception informed us that breakfast is not included in the price. Finally, this hotel is very well situated if coming off the Eurostar. When you arrive at the Gare du Nord, you simply take line #4 to the very end, come up, and there's the hotel. Easy peasy.

Easy to find and right next to metro station, so very easy to get into the centre of Paris. There were also quite a few restaurants near the hotel, so travelling around in the evening not necessary. Room 76 has a fabulous view of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony! Breakfast is NOT included - they don't tell you it will be extra until you pay the hotel bill!!

The good price/quality rate and the very short distance to the subway are much appreciated. A modest hotel but no bad experience to tell all through 6 days of stay.Rooms not facing the street are very quiet.
