Some of the staff did not speak English which was a little difficult. Only 1 of 4 days the wifi worked which made planning difficult. No elevator and we had to walk 4 flights of stairs with our bags. The guy who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful, the daytime guy on the weekend was not super helpful. They do have a luggage room to keep bags after checkout which was nice.

People who complained that the hotel is not beautiful or not clean need to make a little more research or stay in another hotel in Paris for the same price (I said SAME PRICE). I've stayed in all kind of cheap hotels in Paris and I find this one is one of my favorite. + : It's really cheap and locates in the center of Paris. The room is fully warmed. The staff is OK. My room is quite clean. - : Quietness level is not appriciated though. We can hear people taking bath in the corridor or doing "things" in other rooms. The neighbourhood is in the center of Paris so there are a lot of people and cars passing by. My advice : don't go to sleep before 1am if you're not an easy sleeper. The toillets are a little bit dirty too. Overall : I'm 25. I travel with my girlfriend . We just need a fair place to sleep at night. This hotel matches my goal, so it's 7.5/10. * For people who looking for good price and want to stay in the center of paris, this one may be the best for you. For people looking for good price and good service, keep on looking you will never find one haha. *I stayed in another hotel in the center of Paris with the same service and it costed me 54 euros for a single room (2 persons) while here it's just 35 euros. *Hotels with better service (cleaner and calmer) and with same price can be found in the provence of paris (zone 92, 93, 95) but not here. So if you don't have a car, be prepared to take a train for 30-45 mins and walk about 30 mins to your hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, the the overall impression was really bad. The hotel was smell badly from the receptionist, to the corridor, the room, the bathroom and toilet. Especially, inside our room and also another room that we have chance to get in, they were both stinky. The surroundings were noisy and even some drunken men on the street try to slide up our windows and look into our room. We have to lock the glass windows and slide the curtain. I did not feel safe in my sleep and during my stay at all. The reception was small, and dirty. Receptionist was not so welcoming. When I wanted to pay by credit card, the guy even try to refuse by saying their card reader was having problem. But I insisted that I didnot bring cash, and finally he must let me pay by credit card. The room was smelly, the double bed was small and not good, bed sheet dirty, and the towel looked like it had been used for 10k times. I could see some part of the wall in the room was broken. The only thing that looked quite ok was the bathroom, which looked quite new and clean, but again smelly. The hostel was also under renovated some part, and so messy. Overall, I experienced smelly, dirty, noisy, fell annoyed and unsafe during my stay; worse than all the hostels I have ever stay. I will never come back to this "hotel" and recommend nobody to stay there. It is not even worth its cheap price.

The price for the room was low but still not worth it! The standard of the room was unacceptable.

1 wire hanger in the closet and 1 dim lamp on the ceiling. Third floor without elevator. Heating worked 1 night out of 2. Rather noisy at night. Wifi only available in a wrecked room next to reception: 1 table for 1 person, the others sit on chairs and use their laptops on their laps; only one electrical outlet available there. I guess the price/quality must be not too bad since it was full: best thing you can get for 38 euros in a not bad area of Paris near a suwway station?

My friend and I booked a double room with shared toilettes between stairs and bathrooms in the corridors. As far as I know, two bathrooms were out of service, under construction maybe. And the one in 3th floor has no curtain, which is terrible. The cleaness was OK.

The room was absolutely terrible. The sink gurgled in the night. The hard mattress had a plastic cover that kept me awake. People showed in what I think was the only shower in the 1st 3 floors in the middle of the night. The room badly needed painting. The lobby/wifi area was under construction. I had a 18 hour layover and thought this place would be better than sleeping at the airport, it wasn't. I should have paid an extra 20E and gotten a proper room.

We have recently stayed at this hotel and must say that for the money we paid /45€ per night/, we could not really expect much more than what we got. The bed sheets as well as the towels were clean and there was a wash basin in the room which was good. The common showers & toilets did need cleaning - it looked like if nobody cleaned them for months. However, overall, the hotel's location is perfect, only few steps from a tube station, which we found really good. I would recommend this hotel to backpackers or people on low budget, definitely not for families with children or couples expecting to spend a romantic night!
