We booked this hotel and we got exactly what we expected. Nothing great but very close to the Metro. We arrived at 23h30 from Nice and needed a place that was easy to find, clean and not too expensive. It is not a place where I will spend my holiday in Paris but for the night it was sufficient.

I needed an affordable, comfortable, clean & quiet room for my 16-yr old daughter & me while she did her 2ème semaine de stage & I absorbed as much art as possible. We appreciated being so convenient to metro line 1, and a nice selection of restaurants. Hipotel met all my expectations, and I would like to thank the staff for accommodating us.

Staff are the best thing about this hotel, friendly and helpful. Hotel was been decorated when i stayed and id badly needed to be. Their was roadworks outside which was loud and unsightly but thats not the hotels fault.

The rooms are really small and a bit dirty. The staff is really incompetent (they gave us the wrong room before and the wrong keys after). Good position to go to Disneyland, not worthy for visiting the city.

Myself and a friend were visiting Paris for the first time and booked this hotel at the last minute. We had only booked two nights at first.. in case the hotel was seedy. But it was great, the staff was kind and welcoming, the room was clean with comfortable beds, a shower and toilet en suite, and a small TV! There was an internet cafe and two grocery stores down the road and right acorss the street from the Porte de Vincennes Metro. We booked 3 more nights!

Very well located hotel right opposite a Metro stop, which made travelling to and from central Paris a breeze. The room was spacious and reasonably quiet (rear facing), but on the negative side, the bathroom was not cleaned to a very high standard, there was no wall bracket to attached the shower head to the wall, the bed was very hard, and the window curtain was coming adrift from the track. In general, the hotel is in need of redecoration, and at best can be described as tidy. However, the staff were very helpful, and for the price fir six nights in Paris, Terminus Nation served its purpose well.

Hola!

From the picture and description on the webpage, I got the impression that the hotel was located in a quiet side street. However, it's facing towards what is probably the busiest road in the area. This is not a problem, though, as long as you keep your window shut. And with the price that we paid (less than 20 € per night per person), we couldn't expect anything better anyway.

We went in paris for vacation. The place is very well positioned...is in front of metro'and preatty close to Bastille. The room itself was tight and not very clean. You can imagine in 8 day they change sheet just once. In total was not bad because is close to the center and is easy to move around in all paris (disney and Versaille as well) and the price was not expensive! Is good for young guy/girl they spend most of the time outside. Ps. the man at the reception speak english and if the girl not changed your sheet like in our case just tell them...they don't know that! If you need a blancket...do not open the cupboard...its are durty very dirty

Hotel is run down, very old decor and some employees are not very friendly. The room has no insulation so you can hear everything of between the rooms. The only plus is the closeness to the metro.

Bon rapport qualité / prix, d’autant plus lors que l’on paie 2 nuits pour le prix d’une seule. Très calme côté cours, les plus bruyants sont certains clients peu discrets. Métro au pied de l’hôtel.

The only thing I liked about this hotel was the location. Yes, it's right off the metro station "Porte de Vincennes", and the metro line 1 is quite convenient to go anywhere. The access to the CDG airport is easy, too. What I didn't like was the maintainance. I stayed there for 3 nights, but the cleaning wasn't very good. The first night I took the shower, I found other guest's hair on the wall of the shower, which was not a pleasant thing to see. Also, the there was some sediment at the shower drain, which was quite disgusting. The bed wasn't made very tidily either. The worst thing here was the cleaning lady (an Eastern European lady) suddenly opened my room when I was still preparing (around 9:00am) without knocking! She saw me and left without apologizing. Later I saw her downstairs, having a big argument against the reception guy and another cleaning lady (Chinese). They were so loud that all of guests at the dining room could hear. Despite the reasonable pricing and the convenience of the location, I wouldn't go back to this hotel unless they improve the hotel maintainance.

Absolutely fab little place. Just a little outside of Kassel (we were visiting Documenta) but a cheap taxi ride would get you quickly into the town center. The owners speak only a little Enlgish, but they are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The comp. Breakfast is far better than the usual "continental" skimpy fair found at most hotels; a great deal of choice, beautiful set-up with very fresh food... generally a calming way to start the day. Rooms were very clean, very quiet. Nice view of a wooded hill out the window... Generally I have nothing but praise for this place. Very affordable and the highlight of my trip.

The hotel is old, so don't expect luxury or lots of space. We were very disappointed with the cleaning. We stayed 6 nights and they didn't even change the sheets once! The furniture is old and about to fall apart. The bathroom is better in the train station. And you can hear everything your neighbours say and do. So think twice. Better to spend a bit more elsewhere but enjoy it.

The main problem was with the noise. It was extremely difficult to sleep, because the entire night we could hear all the other guests. It was very very very loud. I would not book again based solely on the extremely high level of noise. Also: be aware you must ask for the hairdryer, but they do have one.

This hotel is good if you are on a very tight budget. Don't expect the luxury of having a shower attached to the wall in the bathroom. Didn't look as though there were sufficient fire escapes should there be a fire - the advice given by the hotel was to stay in your room...and burn I presume... Wouldn't go there again.

Compared to what you would be able to get back in Australia for this price (ie. breakfast, and a spacious, clean, quiet room without a rusty old mouldy bathroom and an army of hairs on the sheets from the previous guests), and also compared to the quality of hotel we'd already stayed in in Austria, Budapest and Prague for cheaper prices, this hotel didn't rate that well with us. Obviously it's hard to find cheap accomodation in Paris, and it was in quite a good location on a good metro line, but there are some basics of cleanliness that could be observed if this hotel wants to improve its rating, as it has the potential to do so. The breakfast was extremely overpriced as well, and the rooms really need to be better soundproofed...after a long day in Paris it's not fun to be woken up by the kids on the floor below at 6am or by the guys next door at 2am.

Considering the hotel was a 2 star accomidation, i believed it to be very good value for money. I must say i was suprised to see the metro station right next to the hotel, which was stated in the brief synopsis of the hotel, but was a little sceptical. That did make everything a lot easier for us, overall the hotel was fine for the money that you pay, we had a budgeted holiday and we paid the price we were quoted (always a plus). The only grumble that I would have is the noise in the hotel, the walls were rather thin and we could hear peoples late night boozy conversations, which meant they probably heard ours. The noise from the down stairs reception also echoed up the stair well, which proved to be rather annoying when a coach load of people booked in at 8:00am one morning. Also we noticed that the French do like to do favourable business for one another, so if asking at the reception about any advice/information take it with a pinch of salt, shop about and you my find a better quality deal with someone else.
