The Hotel was generally very bad. The Room is ok, as picture, but despite toals and sheets, the cleanning was very bad as the lack of kindness of the personnel when I explained that the toals in my room was already used when I arrived... they changed the toals but I had to bring them to the reception and take the new ones. I was said that I must bring them down if I wanted new ones...

The staff is nice and ok, but the place (district)is not good, it's a big street, so the night there are a lot of noise. And the bathroom is clean but very dilapidated, the wall too.

Hotel with decadent aspect and VERY VERY dirty. There was not free internet service (wi fi) in the room. They demand the total payment in the arrival and we had to request the receipt. We only received big towels for bath and they were always very spotted, giving the impression of dirt. It was very cold and the central heating didn't seem to be working. Besides, we had problem with a window, difficult to be closed.

Excellent location, close to gard du nord and all metro stations 2 min walk, plenty of restaurant and caffe walking distance as well as shops. Ideal Location 2o min walk to moulin rouge., and 1o by metro to eifel. 20 min by train from degaul airport. But if you are looking for a fancy place and you are very picky it is not your place. Average hotel very helpful staff. had no problem. Paris is very expensive but this location is priced well. if you are looking for a room just to crash for the night and continue the next day, it is the ideal place. rooms are average, and basic..we where 5 in the double connected room and had no problem.

If you are looking for a good value of money then is the right hotel.. Those who are complaining then they should stay @ 5 star hotel so that they will pay more and satisy their selves...The hotel is very close to Gare du Nord and just walk about 2 minutes or less... All the staffs are friendly, approachable and helpful and they speaks english..The shower is nice in my room and the room temperature is standard..Our stay in this hotel was very good. I'll be back and back to Paris-the most beautiful city in the world...

No extractor fan or lock on the shower door on the 3rd floor. Directions from the train stations way off. Gare du Nord is the closest. Don't know why it was recommended to go to Gare de l'est. A long way away.

Ten minute walk to Gare Du Nord, restaurants, Metro and bus stops. Room was dirty. Beds were sagging in the middle. Uncovered electrical wires protruding from the wall. Toilet was cramped, sink clogged, shelf almost falling, exhaust fan dirty and noisy. Towels old and greyish and only two were provided for three people in the room. If it was only a good room, it would have made up for the noisy street below.

This was our first time to Paris, and we picked this hotel because it was close to the train station and we didn't want to have to walk too far with our suitcases. Unfortunately, this hotel is right on the corner of a very busy intersection so you will hear cars honking and ambulance sirens ALL night long. I think there is a hospital nearby too, which is why you get so much of the ambulance traffic. The bathrooms are very small, but the bedroom is a larger than what your average Parisian hotel room would offer. There was also a bar underneath the hotel on the ground level. So, you couldn't open your window at night b/c all the smoke from the bar would travel into your room. I was also not impressed by the two men who worked at the front desk. One in particular was very rude to us. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Do not look for something great. It is a very limited hotel, a bit overpriced in my opinion. It is clean enough, shared bathroom even in private rooms. The showers are also shared (and you have to pay an extra fee)

This was my first time in Paris, and I had a great time. This hotel was great for the price. Other hotels in the area was either a lot more dingy looking or a lot more expensive. I know- because at first glance I did not want to stay at Hotel Grand Hôtel Magenta- but after walking around and looking at other places- I realized I was getting the best option for my price range. Plus the staff at Hotel Grand Hôtel Magenta were great- friendly and helpful. And there was a lot to do in the area- including a 24 hrs restaurant bar and it was very close to a main train station stop. I also appreciated that the area just a few blocks was less touristy and I got to experience a "real" Paris neighborhood.

The lift didn't work during our stay (five days) and the TV was minimally working. But, we don't go places to stay in the hotel. Though the neighborhood isn't good, it is close to Gare du Nord which makes it convenient for getting around Paris.

The welcome at the desk was great, however the rest of the staff were rude and/or incompetent. Breakfast was included (great) but I had to go and ask where it was 30 minutes after scheduled delivery time - and it wasn't prepared. The pillow cases were filthy, the bed linen very old and I am thankful we were there in winter, the rooms were stuffy then-they would be a nightmare in summer.

There was nothing wrong with this hotel; just not what we typically experience. We arrived around 10:00 p.m. and checked-in. The individual could speak english but was not cordial at all. Literally took my CC and then handed me a key (real key, not a plastic card). We walked up very dark stairs to a pitch black hallway where my wife found a light switch. We eventually made it in the room and I thought my wife was going to have a mental breakdown (guys, if you want to stay in a place where you can sweep the ladies off their feet, stay away from here) The room was clean just really, really, out of date. We were in this room for two nights between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 9:30 a.m., so it worked for us. All I can say is do not expect American accomadations unless you want to pay $$$$$. Location was right next to the train station which was nice. Additionally, about two blocks from the hotel was the route of a tour bus that we utilized (well worth the 30 Euro). Again, nothing truly wrong with the hotel, just not what we are used to and completely out-of-date.

Excellent location (really close to Gare de Nord and a short walk to Monmarte), friendly staff, room much more spacious than I expected. On a main road so noisy but so are the majority of hotels in this area.

Etant donné le petit prix des chambres, je m'attendais à quelques désagréments, j'ai été très agréablement surprise. C'est une adresse que je retiendrais.
