Very clean rooms, and quite spacious for Europe. Excellent shower head pressure, comfy beds, and the Wifi connection was faster than in most 4 star hotels in the USA. Front desk was awesome. Even helped me practice my French. A boulangerie was a short walk away, and the Metro even closer. Lines 6 and 8 were particularly useful for sightseeing. A tip- when coming from CDG airport on the RER B train, avoid the recommended transfer stations of Chalalet and Bastille. They are large stations with lots of walking and lots of stairs to carry your bags up and down. Exhausting. My mother struggled. Try this route from the airport. RER B to Denfert Rochereau station and then switch to Metro Line 6, exit Daumesnil. It may look like a longer trip and out of your way, but trust me, it's faster and hardly no walking involved at the transfer station. Much easier and less stressful. Enjoy!

In a trip to France for a summer vacation, we chose to stay at Grand hotel D'ore in Paris, and we made a right choice. Very close to the metro station so it is quite easy to get to anywhere in Paris. The staff treated us with good manners, and helpful. The room was not so spacious, but it was very clean and enough to feel cozy. Although there were some noises of the metro running, it did not bother us so much. Overall, if we ever have the chance to visit Paris again, we would like to stay there again.

There were frustrating technical challenges. The wireless password confused both the front desk and me. Please try giving out a card that also prompts your person to look it up correctly. Also, the credit card reader did not work at check out and I'll have to get my bill via the postal service.

The WC looked new, room was very small. Elevator was for only 1 person with luggage. We were 3 and we took turns with who had to use the stairs because couldn't fit all at the same time into it. It is very accesible from the metro station.

Front desk staff was excellent - friendly, helpful, and willing & able to speak English. The hotel location was in a quiet neighborhood, with some nice restaurants an easy walk away (ask the guys at the front desk for recommendations, they have some good ones). A metro stop is steps from the hotel, on the 6 and the 8 lines - making it very quick and easy to get to most sightseeing locations. Great air conditioning (it was incredibly hot in Paris when we were there) and fast, free wifi, to boot! Rooms are small, but comfortable, and the bathrooms are lovely.

The location was not in the central tourist areas, but hotel was within steps of a Metro stop. The room was quiet and as pictured on the internet. The breakfast was expensive for what it was, but certainly adequate and fresh. My room carpet and bed spread had some stains, but overall the room and publlic spaces were clean and fresh smelling.

Very nice hotel in quiet location, a relief after spending the day in traffic and smog in Paris centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Natalie. Great restaurant across the road called Le Metro, good food and service. Our room was located on 1st floor near street light, this wasn't too much of a nuisance however a shade cover to deflect the light would help. We difinitely would recommend this hotel to our friends in Australia as a great place to stay and use as base for Paris.

We are far from the subway station and breakfast not included. The room we are in was near the lift so we can hear its noise when on operation. Likewise you can also hear people walking upstairs and our beddings was not replaced daily. Housekeepers were not that helpful and rarely speaks english.

Great hotel. Breakfast isn't included, the lift is tiny but these are only minor gripes. Don't expect the staff to speak English - remember, you're in France and you're expected to speak French. It's a quiet hotel in a quiet suburban area.
