Breakfast buffet was not so good. Free Internet was speedy. My single room was quite small (to be expected in Paris), but very clean and well kept. All in all, it was good value for the money. The convenient metro stop seems to be Gobelins, 10mins from hotel, which takes you to the most-visited attractions of the city. If coming to the hotel from airport, I advise that you walk from Denfert Rochereau (RER train) for 20mins or Gobelins (Metro) for 10mins on the Boulevard Arago. When you see the double traffic lights within 100 meters of each other, that's the place to take the street to your left (when going from D.R. towards Gobelins). Then immediately there is another small street junction, take the street to your left, walk for 1min to reach the hotel on the right.

Many problems with the room: heating not working; telephone not working; very noisy cleaning lady in the morning, she kept knocking and opening the room when I told her repeatedly I did not wanted room service.

good location, 5 min walk from 2 metro stations of different lines. Nice surrondings, quiet but with restaurants, café, supermarket...Hotel staff is kind and friendly, room are simple, they would need to be refreshed a little. No wardrobe, no hairdryer but you can ask the reception and they'll give you one. Breakfast is ok, not very rich but food is fresh.

We stayed a few nights in this hotel during our vacation in Paris. Location is good, but don't forget the fact that we prefer exploring by walking. Seine is pretty close, but this area of the city is not the cleanest. The rooms were quite small, not really clean, I remember a strange odour as well. Overall it was good for sleeping after a tiring day.

Good accomodation and low price. Exceptional breakfast. Very good surroundings (The Boulevard d'Arago is quiet and pleasant and you can reach the Latin Quarter on foot). The Metro Station (Gobelins) is just 10 minutes from the Hotel. We stayed in a triple room with a tiny bathroom with shower: clean but a bit worn. Confortable nevertheless. Just a remark: Map printed on the reservation was wrong..

For us (Family with older children, 14/18) the hotel was perfect. We know Paris a bit, speak enough French and wanted to spend self-organised days. The hotel is in a very quiet and safe residential neighbourhood with shops and little restaurants. 3 Metro-Lines are near and most destinations can be reached without having to change at "CHATELET", which I hate. (When you arrive at GARE DU NORD, take Nr. 5 to PLACE D'ITALIE and walk or change to GLACIERE or GOBELINS). If you are tired in the evening, you can walk for dinner to the quarter "BUTTE AUX CAILLES" or "MOUFFETARD"(10mn) Chinatown is not far (Porte de Choisy) and great for the young ones! Even if you leave on Sunday morning, you can walk before to PLACE ST. MEDARD (10 mn) on the lower nicer side of RUE MOUFFETARD , there is market and a small, but well-equiped supermarket (both open every day). The hotel staff is sometimes very slow and the breakfast not so interesting. For 8 € it might be better to go to a Cafe. But alltogether we liked our stay a lot and would go there again.

If all you need is a quiet and clean room to stay in near the heart of Paris, this hotel is perfect. Located in a mainly residential area, it is very quiet and there are no metro lines that run underneath it so that helps reduce the amount of traffic and noise outside. The room is tiny but clean, the bathroom was old but clean, good shower pressure, not the fanciest place ever but for a paris accomodation is relatively good, especially for the location - 7 minutes by foot from the metro stop. The staff speaks english fluently and are helpful. My room was rather small but cleen. I think they changed sheets everyday. Internet access with wifi only at the lobby although i could a signal up to the second floor when i moved my iphone close to the window. Overall very good experience for a budget hotel. The hotel is nicely situated in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood, not far from the lively place d'Italie, close to metro lines 6 and 7, as well as RER B. The staff is friendly and efficient. The room was spacious, quiet and very clean, although it could use some redecoration. Both free and paid wifi were available. Clean, spacious, located in a nice residential neighborhood away from tourists but close to 2 metro stations and very easy and quick to get to any of the places you want to go to. There is also a public school, a college, a post office right there. Food prices are much cheaper in this neighborhood and the food is excellent. There are 2 boulangeries/patisseries, a charcuterie, a French restaurant and other eating places on rue Corvisart, a nice and quiet street. There is a bigger charcuterie, a boulangerie/patisserie, a bistro with great prices and excellent food on rue Glaciere. Both streets are within one to two blocks from the hotel. Both charcuteries have excellent pate, etc. The boulangers/patissers have excellent and rather inexpensive sandwiches also. Hotel staff are very nice, welcoming and helpful. Definitely a good place to stay.

I've been in Paris with my parents for the first time. We've had a triple room, where we were checked-in at 9 AM, as the room was free and ready. Also we've had a really nice breakfast for free (during weekend). It was quite noisy during one night, but it depends on people you stay at the hotel with, I guess. The guy at the reception was very friendly and helpful. There is a good connection from the two closely located metro stations(Corvisart or Les Gobelins round 5 min walk) to the city centre (round 20 min). We've had a perfect thai dinner close tto Corvisart station. Will come back!

I was very pleased with the hotel surroundings (five minutes' walk from rue Mouffetard, not far from several metro stations), and with the welcoming and helpful staff members. The hotel is off the boulevard, so it is fairly quiet. I stayed there a couple of times, the first time I got quite a small single room, the second time the room was much bigger; both were very clean. Breakfast was okay. It is a shame that you have to pay for the internet though (but you can go to several coffee places nearby and get it free there). The 2 day stay at Touring Hôtel Le Magendie was quite OK! About 5 minutes walk from nearest Metrostation. Our 3-bed room was spacious and toilet/shower clean and big!

Une bonne adresse, au calme, avec un petit déjeuner correct. Les chambres mériteraient tout de même d'être un peu rafraîchies et le nettoyage est aléatoire certains jours.

Clean and simple, great value for the money. Super friendly and helpful staff. Don't expect luxury or you'll be disappointed, but hard to beat at that price and location.

It's good hotel for staying 2 days. verything is good, the thing not so good is the TV is on the top of the wall, so it's difficult to watch. however it's good hotel for the price and the place.

Very nice hotel, especially for the price. Room was cleaned daily, to exceptional standards. Good neighborhood, about 8 minutes from the subway station. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Outstanding hotel. We were in a triple room and had lots of space. Very happy with the hotel. The price was very reasonable for Paris and the breakfast was excellent as well. The hotel is about 200 meters from a metro stop, so getting around was easy. Also they had a secure, underground parking lot for only 10 Euro per day. Very important as we drove into town. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay next time I am in Paris.

For the money, a terrific bargin. It is, however, out of the way to most tourist attractions. Best for students and tourists. Be wary of the very pricey internet access fees (Free internet is available in several nearby parks, namely Square Rene Legalle.) and the phone charges even on calls which should have been toll free. These quibbles aside, it was a wonderful stay, and the breakfast first rate.

The hotel was good value for money. I just missed a decent wardrobe in the room. Bath was smal but OK. Breakfast was OK. Good area to stay not far away from the metro and busses.

I chose this hotel for me and my parents, and felt incredibly worried/responsible because I couldn't "see" it in advance. However, it was VERY wonderful for the price. Extremely helpful desk, who looked up lots of information for me to help take my parents to Verseilles. A breakfast that ended up being free for us on the weekends because we had stayed more than one night. Car park underneath the hotel was a little dingy with a very low incline (we hit bottom coming in from off the street, and my mom and I had to get out of the car to lighten the load), but the car was very safe. I had no qualms about the neighborhood, either. Very good deal; I'd come back! One note though: the address is actually 6, Rue Corvisart, not 6 Rue Corvisard as indicated.
