the albe is a great hotel for the location and price. It can be a bit noisy and the rooms can be small but they are clean, the staff accommodating and the breakfest for which you pay extra is great.

Central Loaction, easily accessible from either CDG Airport or Gard du Nord. It is located in a small side street just off the main road. It is very lively street with many bars and resturants. You may think it is noisy, but one the windows are shut it was ok. The rooms are small, with small Ensuite facilities, but they were new / clean. One last thing, on the last day I asked to have my luggage to be placed in the luggage locker room, of which they had agreed to do. Upon my return a few hours later, my luggage was still where I had left it at the main foyer. Nothing was missing, and there is usually a person at reception, but call me finicky, but it should have been dealt with as requested / agreed. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

It´s really a very nice and sympathetic hotel, with an excellent breakfast, only the staff (reception) is unfriendly and arrogant.

we arrived to find our room not available because of a flood in some of the bathrooms of the Albe hotel and were forced to move to another hotel for the first night but due to the kindness and efficiency of the reception staff it was all accomplished very smoothly and we were given a free breakfast next morning. We were impressed by the standard of the reception staff and everyone was very friendly during our stay. We have been to Paris many times and find the location of hotel Albe excellent for buses, walking tours of Paris and general ambience. A short walk away from this tourist hot spot and you can be in 'real 'Paris and eat at the cafes eg near the Pantheon and the university and be amopngst only French people.

+ Great location in lively “Quartier Latin”. Many attractions within walking distance and very close to Metro/RER station “St. Michel”. - As usual in Paris rooms are not huge but I’ve seen worse. Room and bathroom were clean. 11 euro is too expensive for that breakfast.

It was my first time there... and I hope it will not be my last. Even if we checked in very very late (at 2:00 in the morning!), the desk clerk was very helpful and welcoming. A true gentleman with a good sense of humor. Other positive point is the proximity to the RER station (St-Michel)... 50 meters: how can you beat that?

Absolutley Perfect!!!! The only negative thing was that we asked the young man in the recetion to help us reserve a table at Restaurant Jules Verne. He said that it was absolutly impossible!! But when we called the restaurant ourselves, there where no probleme at all! He could have tried... But overall, WE WILL ALWAYS STAY THERE!!

This hotel was in a brilliant location and the rooms were modern and very clean. The hotel staff were friendly and very welcoming. The only drawback with the hotel was how noisy it was, the surrounding streets were full of people and you had a lot of street performers blasting music till the early hours of the morning(even my ear plugs didn't work).I would recommend a higher floor in the hotel to try and avoid the noise. I would highly recommend this hotel BUT BE WARNED IT CAN BE VERY NOISY!

The location of this hotel is just great, right in the middle of the Latin quarter; plenty of restaurants to chose from in the surrounding area plus a lot of night activities. We felt fairly safe walking late at night. The subway was just a few steps away, allowing us to reach any destination easily. The room we got was small and a bit noisy in the night, but other than that it was a very nice place for us to stay.

This is a nice, clean, welcoming hotel in the very heart of Paris. The rooms are neither big nor small but they are well-served. As in all other Paris hotels, the breakfast is not included in the price but is otherwise satisfactory. The only negative issue about the hotel is that it is located on maybe the most noisy road in St Michel: a road full of pubs, bars, and music clubs. So, if you need some calm, consider this, especially if you will be staying in the weekend. From all other respects, this hotel is a fine hotel and I had a pleasant stay.

This was our second visit to Paris and we enjoyed it just as much as the first visit. Our stay at Hotel Albe was great as it is such an excellent location in the heart of the Latin Quarter and with easy access to so many of Paris's main attractions. The Metro is only a couple of minutes walk and is an excellent service. Our room whilst small (typical of Paris) was very comfortable and clean and well soundproofed. From our window we could look between buildings to the Seine which was very special. Staff in reception and the hotel in general were very friendly and helpful. The Boulangerie under the hotel has irresistable crepes! We would happily stay at the Albe on our next visit to Paris.

We loved our hotel and Paris. This hotel is located in the Latin Quarter and we loved it. It is busy (but once you close your windows all sounds are gone) but that is the fun part. We loved the food in this area and came back here each night to eat after sightseeing. We loved walking the neighborhoods and bridges at night checking out the river. It was a great way to walk off your dinner before heading in for the night. Great Time had by all of us.

the hotel seemed to be recently renovated. it was new and clean. the room is small as any hotels in paris. the location was great - as it is steps from St. Michel metro station, though the street in front of the hotel could be very crowded and noisy. the room was sound proofed that helped to shut out most noise. we had a room with nice view of the river. i also liked a fridge in the room. the price was a bit higher than i hoped but i had nothing to complain.

Very nice hotel with a very service-minded staff. We were 3 persons in a double-room with an extra bed, which made the room a bit tiny. Central location, crowded tourist area, but when the windows were closed, we were not disturbed by the street noise. The cooling system in the room could, however, be better. All in all, we had a very pleaseant stay, and would definitely recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel offered a lovely breakfast for 10 euros each, which was a bit pricey for three people each day, for six days. To save a few euros, we visited the cafe/bakery just next to the hotel, at the corner of the Rue de la Harpe, and the the Rue du la Huchette, for cafe creme and pain chocolat that were delicious and cost about four euro each. The Hotel Albe exceded standard for spaciousness of room for three adults. We were very grateful for the upgrade to junior suite. The location of this hotel is outstanding--five minutes from Notre Dame, just across the bridge from Chatelet, a few steps from the Blvd St. Michel and a long block from Blvd. St. Germain des Pres. Slight drawback is the late night noise in the streets below, but that is part of being in the center of Paris!

Yes, first time we stayed there. Most of the clientele appeared to be from various European countries interested in a great location (Latin Quarter on the Left Bank) across from Notre Dame and walking distance to everything! Convenient to Metro. St. Michele is lively at night. Hotel just off the square in Little Athens.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location to all the main tourist attractions was fantastic. We could walk to everything we were interested in. We were disappointed with a few of the touristy restaurants in the area but when we finally asked the receptionist she headed us off to a great restaurant just across the fountain. Thankyou all for your wonderful service.

Our room was perfect, updated with a modern bathroom and shower. The maid service was perfect. The size of the room was small, but this is not unexpected in Europe. Our room had a balcony overlooking a small street lined with restaurants and shops - very nice. The location was excellent - 100 steps from the St. Michel subway station, and easy walking distance to the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, and Notre Dame. Now the bad news: The location of the hotel seems to be a popular party location for the college crowd. Even with double-paned windows, the rap music, yelling, and general noise from an impromtu street-stage 50 feet away, was audible until 2:30 in the morning, EVERY morning. We had specifically requested a quiet room, and although the staff acknowledged the noise problem, they said there wasn't much they could do about it and that the local business owners were required to quiet down by 10 pm - which never happened. For a very sound-sleeper it is an excellent choice, however, we are light sleepers and would not choose this hotel again.

Been to Paris many times and this hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We were given a 3 bedded room and faced on to the main street of the Latin Quarter...with a small balcony. Great hotel, great service. Bars and restaurants on the doorstep and the Metro is only a 3 minute walk with a direct service to Gare Du Nord which was perfect for us. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Paris.

I had an extremely pleasant stay at this hotel with my elderly parents. I could not think of any fault with the service, and the rooms, bathroom, were well furnished and very smart and clean. The lift takes 3 persons and was quite suitable for us. The hotel is in an exciting and very busy pedestrian area, but the sound insulation was so good that you could not hear any noise with the windows closed. I don't know how the rooms are ventilated but I felt comfortable at all times whether the windows were open or closed. The breakfast room was pleasant and the breakfast itself was more than enough and good value. Apart from the breakfast room there is little public space for meeting other residents, but in a city hotel such as this that would be normal. I would definitely return.

Staff accomodating and polite. Good beds and linens. Very clean rooms. Our room had 2 windows affording us a lovely cross breeze. Very quiet if you shut windows, we opted for earplugs to block out the noise of the Latin qtr and still have the breeze. Being on the top floor we were afforded lovely views of Paris sites. Excellent location for foot travel. I understand that the hotel breakfast offerings were quite nice, but we opted for morning excursions to our favorite spots including the bakery in front of the hotel. First time this hotel, 3rd time in Latin Qtr.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Albe. I could not believe how close the hotel was to the River Seine and Notre Dame (literally out of the front door) and it was right in the hub of all the restaurants and bars of the Latin Quarter and only two minutes walk from the metro station. The rooms were fantastic and reminded me a lot of the chain of Art Hotels I have previously stayed in (of course at a fraction of the price). Although the room was small (as due to the architecture in Paris, most will be)it was very clean and obviously recently decorated. I loved the flat screen tv, ideal to watch after a long walk around paris whilst getting ready to go for an evening meal. I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know who is going to Paris and I can't wait to visit Paris again partly so I can stay in this lovely hotel in the perfect area.

This is in Ste. Michelle, a really busy touristy area. The hotel is close to Notre Dame, Ste. Chapelle, Hotel de Ville and a short metro / walk to Ste. Germain and Quatier Latin & Pompedieu. There is a cool jazz club around the corner. The metro is right there as well. The restaraunts by the hotel are nicknamed "bacteria alley" - we chose to explore other brasseries and cafe's near by. We would stay here again.

The Albe Hotel was a wonderful place to stay! The room was clean and although small, very nicely done. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that I had booked a double superior room, and when we arrived they only had a regular double, which was smaller. We loved the Albe. The location is fantastic if you want to be in the middle of the Latin Quarter hub bub, and right near the Seine and Notre Dame. In oom 211 - a triple, with three twin beds - you could step out on the balcony and virtually be "in" the latin quarter with the thousands of other people below you, or you could close the windows and it was amazingly quiet. More noise came from the hall side of the room that the street side. The hotel design is a nice blend of clean, modern design and decorating, in a very old building. Two small details I would change: Add St. Michele metro stop to the location map for easy reference. Breakfast room was a little hard to negotiate and warm. It would be great if the windows opened out to the street.

The hotel's situation is ideal for visiting the Latin Quarter, but you must realise that this is a busy & noisy student/tourist area, especially @ weekends. However, the rooms are sound-proofed & the air-conditioning worked in all 3 rooms we used, so noise shouldn't be a problem except for light sleepers or perhaps if allocated a lower floor room. The staff are friendly & helpful, but the breakfast is rather limited - there are plenty of alternatives in the immediate area. The RER trains to/from CDG airport & Metro to/from Gare du Nord are very close, too. We shall definitely use it again when visiting the Latin Quarter.

The D'Albe is ideally situated in the Latin Quarter within easy reach of myriads of restaurants and shops. The Metro and RER from the airport are very close by. The Hotel is a good quality three star but they do turn off the air conditioning to your room when you hand in the key. When we returned to the hotel we had to ask for them to turn it on again. Having said that, we really enjoyed our stay and we would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit Paris.

The rooms were recently renovated, new furnished and very clean. The air-condition is enough powerful, the pressure of the shower was exactly right (we hat showers without or to much pressure) and the temperature was always constant (we also hate shower which chandes constantly temperature). Things that could disturb someone were the variety of available TV-channels (only about 15) and a somewhat strange smell in the morning in the bathroom coming from the canlisation which was not srong. The rate we got was without breackfast which could be indicated better on the webpage. Over all, we thougt to have found the cleanest and calmest hotel in the Cartier Latin, next to RER and Metro. For our next stay in this area we will come back to the Hotel d'Albe.
