The staff were excellent and very welcoming. The location was great. The room was small but adequate, very nicely decorated! The bath was tiny, again adequate. The room's walls were THIN so you could hear a man in the corridor whistling two floors away!!!! Very close to the tube and a lovely 20 minute walk to the tour eiffel! Highly recommended, will stay here again! Thank you to the helpful and kind staff.

Great little hotel, located in a great quiet neighborhood only about 15 minutes walk from the Eiffel tower which made it very convenient to go for a nice stroll and have an evening picnic in front of the tower after which we walked back to the hotel. The room was fairly small but clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly (although not all of them knew English particularly well, so it made communicating a little challenging, but managable). The price was unbeatable - 83 euros a night - and the free WiFi was an excellent touch and helped us download pics to our Facebook every night. We originally reserved only one night at this hotel but ended up extending it to the full length of our stay in Paris (3 nights) and we would absolutely stay there again.

We were very happy with this hotel, very helpful staff and quiet. This hotel is in a very quiet neighborhood, which we liked, but few shops/restaurants available after 9:30 or 10:00 pm.

Stayed in a twin room . It was wonderful in comparison to the awful Garden Hotel which we had just left and where we were treated very shabbily.

We(2 person) stayed 3 nights, and actually we were very surprised of the cleanisess in the room and the bathroom. The bathroom was really nice, new sink and tub. However the room was small it was enough for us. Maybe our neighbors were not too happy because of the noice from our room :) but the rooms were too close.

I had a nice stay at the hotel, the staff there is nice, and the building is near the main attractions(you can walk 10,15 minutes and you are at tower eiffel) and the others are easily reached by metro via Sèrves Lecourbe station. I just thought the rooms too small for the price they charge(80 euros per night for a twin room). I stayed in hotels in Barcelona, Geneva, Amsterdam and Rome, and in all those places I stayed in rooms that had good space in their rooms. I can't understand what is so special about Paris to make the hotels charge an expensive price for a really small room. In Rome you can pay 50 euros and you have lots of space. Anyway, all the rest was fine.

This was my first experience in a European Hotel, so I thought our room was small. However I found out this is typical for Europe. The room was very clean and we had our own bathroom. The service was good, and the staff friendly. Breakfast included bread/croissants and jam, cereals, coffee and juices. I was awaken at night by people talking in the terrace. However my fiance was not as he is not a light sleeper like me. The hotel was situated in a quiet neighborhood, close to the subway and walking distance from major sites. Our stay was very satisfactory for the price.

A nicely run clean hotel with a nice range of service, including Wi-Fi. Surprisingly small rooms and an extremely small breakfast room with relatively poor and slow service - had to sit down at a messy table, the waitress went to clean other tables before mine, so I simply had to eat at a dirty table.

It was so close to the metro and the Eiffel tower is only two stops away. We walked there one night. The staff were extremely kind to two Irish people who hadn't a word of French. They were so patient and clear with directions. I loved staying here. We didn't try the breakfast though but I'm sure it would have been just fine.

There were four of us family members traveling together - we originally wanted one room for three, when the fourth joined us we changed to a second room (two in each). When we checked in the rooms were set up for four people and they were huge rooms - a little too late to change reservations. I felt they could have contacted me by e-mail to OFFER the one room one rate option. I ended up paying for two rooms - one unnecessarily.

Make sure you're travelling with someone you actually like, because the room is a bit of a squeeze. That said, you will find no better value for money anywhere, we felt like we were ripping them off! The bathroom is clean and modern, the back yard quaint and cosy, very Paris, indeed. Also, the location is excellent, everything is within walking distance, but the neighbourhood seems quiet and safe. Friendly staff.

If you are looking for a hotel of this class, look no further. I am a single mom and I stayed at this hotel with my 7-year-old son, and I feel very lucky to have found this hotel. POSITIVE <1> It’s in a safe area. <2> There are two metro stations (M6 and M12) nearby and it’s very convenient. <3> There are small ABCs and a Franprix in the neighborhood. <4> Our room was very clean. <5> Our double room was big enough. <6> Q-tips, soap, and shower gel are provided. <7> A hair dryer is installed. <8> You can watch TV programs in English and other languages. <9> Using the WiFi code shown on the TV screen, you can connect to the Internet with no problem (to me). <10> Our room was on the street side, but since the street is a one-way street and there is a bump to make drivers slow down (how do you call this in English?), and the window glass is possibly more than 1 cm thick, I was not even once disturbed while sleeping. <11> Almost all the employees are courteous, knowledgeable, and able to speak English. Even after we checked out the hotel and came back for our luggage after a few hours of sight-seeing, we were still their customers. NEGATIVE <1> There is no fridge. <2> There is no tea/coffee maker. <3> I don’t share their taste of interior coordination (traditional Asia + modern Europe mixture). <4> The noise in the hallway resonates considerably. <5> The bath tub is half the size of the standard size. <6> My son’s breakfast was 8 euro as well. <7> I thought everything was included, but “taxe de sejour” was charged (2 euro per day).

It is a very nice hotel in a convenient location. There were lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and public transportation was only a couple of blocks away. Best suited to single traveller who needs a hotel in Montparnasse area for one night stay. Double rooms too small for two people, would be ok for one person. Bathroom was small, had no window and no proper shower (what is it with French showers?!) Lots of noise from room above. Ok if you need to be up early yourself I suppose. On the upside location is very good. Quite expensive given the standard of the rooms but that's pretty much the norm for Paris! 3 star hotels are usually equivalent to 2 star in the UK.

In spite of being a small room for 2, cleanliness, location convenience and safety make it a good choice! A good tip, just a block away on Rue Lecourbe you will find a very good supermarket (Monoprix) for getting meals for a light-medium dinner or snack and every cosmetics or even basic clothing at good prices (don´t forget you are in Paris!)

We spent 4 night in Paris at the beginning of August. The Hotel was easy to find and was around the corner from a very chilled out cafe which served excellent coffee. This hotel is in the residential district and so tends to be a bit quiet, which for us was perfect. 3 blocks from the metro and 15 minute walk from the Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower. You always hear how snobby and stuck up Parisians are, but upon stepping through the door of the hotel, the staff were amazing! The owners are awesome and they really do take care of you, even if you don't speak a word of French. The room was small and the bathroom even smaller but lets face it, in Paris, everything is tight and small. The most important thing, it was clean, inexpensive and had quiet AC! :) Highly recommend it! Cheers, Tom and Jen

Very quiet street in out-of-the-way neighborhood (with a municipal swimming pool across the street). Hotel conveniently located one block from Volontaires metro, about 7 min walk from Pasteur, one block from a Monoprix. Hotel decor is lovely (Asian themed) but spaces are very tiny. Our twin room was small even by French standards: hardly room to open two fairly small suitcases. Room supposedly equipped with aircon but we tried it the first day and it made the room mustier than without; luckily it wasn't too hot and the street was quiet.

The room and stay was generally excellent. We had only two issues with the room. 1. The room was obviously a smoking room and as a result there was a strong smell of stale cigarette when you entered the room. I would have chosen a nonsmoking room if it had been offered when we booked. 2. The cushion covers on the bed were stained/dirty. However when we mentioned this at the desk they were replaced, but it didn't give a good first impression. I would have rated the room 10 for cleanliness if these had not been present. The map supplied could be improved by giving more detail to help locate from the metro stations

We stayed in a twin bed room at the front of the hotel on a Saturday night and were very impressed with every aspect of this hotel. The hotel was OK, very clean and quiet. We book a double room and the room was pretty small. The bathroom was also small. The hotel was a little bit difficult to found because it was located in a minor street. A supermarket, an EXTRAORDINARY bakery (at the corner), and some restaurants are located not far from the Hotel. The staff was OK, informative and polite. They let us do the check-in at 10 O'clock (not a peak season), and you can put your stuff at the hotel after check out. Transportation with METRO was easy...around 10-15 minutes walk. In general, i would recommend this hotel to everybody.

We had a good stay at the Hotel overall. The location is nice, on a quiet street and not too far away from the Effiel Towel. The small courtyard and communal spaces are also well maintained. Please bear in mind the rooms are very small. Maybe ok for a young couple or two well acquainted friends as you inevitably feel that you are living in the other persons back pocket. We had a problem on the first night with our air-con not working. As it was late we had no option but to open the window, which resulted in a lot more noise than expected as we faced the street. However, by the time we returned the next day after having told them in the morning of our problem, the air-con was fixed and working fine. The location is the best feature as it is very close to Volontaires metro and has some convenient small shops nearby.

Ist ein fairer Deal. Was mich etwas gestört hat, war das Fenster direkt zur Straße (Fußgängerweg). Also Fenster oder Vorhang aufmachen hatte Lärmbelästigung bzw. The hotel was really nice. It's kind of tucked away in a locals' neighborhood, but still close to the metro. Very comfortable. My only beef is that upon check-out, they tagged on €2/a night for some Paris city hotel tax. I'm not even really sure if the tax exists, but if it does, they should incorporate it into their price instead of adding it on at the last minute. Overall: good hotel, staff, service, location and price.

Was travelling with another friend and we were at the hotel for two nights (first week of May 2005). It was easy to get to and there are many metro stops near by. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And for the price (60 euros for a twin room) it wasn't bad. Some minor issues - I guess we were not expecting everything to be so tiny. It was hard not to bump into the other person when trying to move around the room and get to your luggage or the bathroom. Rooms were clean as was the bathroom. But bathtub is tiny and there was only room to stand in one position and shower. But must say the room had everything, just in mini-me size. A tiny tv (with english CNN), a small closet, hairdryer etc. They have free Wi-Fi which is a great feature. Our major issue - is that there was no Air Conditioning. Our room was on the very first floor of the hotel, and it was warm at night so we opened the window. Although the area is residential, there is a boy's school across the street we think, so early in the morning there was alot of noise and actually there was a lot of noise all thru the night. People walking, talking, trucks delivering things... just too noisy and we could hear Everything. If you're getting a good price, it's still worth staying here, but ask for a room with a window that faces the inside courtyard and not the outside street. Also we peeked into some of the other rooms and it seemed that the double rooms (one double bed instead of two twin ones) was much bigger. So if you're two people you might be better off in a double room.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was nice and clean and seemed new, but quite small. The bathroom was very little, sitting on the toilet you practically spoken had the sink on your lap! Nice breakfast room, with plenty of food, and the people at the reception were friendly and helpful and spoke English very well. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others, if you can live with a small bathroom. Metro station a few minutes walk a way, and the area seemed safe. Garbage truck woke us up every early morning, other than that very quiet.

The place was Ok considering it was PARIS. The rooms were small, but not too small. Very clean though. No big noise sources other than the people in the hall locking or unlocking there rooms (which can be annoying when you want to sleep in). The breakfast was average very; nice croissants, coffee and rolls, but no cheese or ham, nor eggs. Only butter and jam. The breakfast room is uncomfortably tiny if more than 4 people want breakfast at the same time. (seats for 12). The wireless lan access for free exists, but the connection quality is so bad in the rooms that you have to go down to the lobby to use it. So overall no critical items to report.

Hotel was generally good. I found my room quite small and the shower was poor.It was not a proper shower and the bath area was too small to bath in.I would have preferred a proper shower cubicle or a bath not a very poor mixture of both.

Clean and friendly. The breakfast room was rather small, but the food was good, and the surroundings pleasant. Would be very nice in the warmer months when it would be possible to eat in the garden. The staff were friendly and helpful.
