The location was excellent with a very short walk to the Pamukkale tavertines entrance. The hotel served meals and there were other restaurants close by. Even though the hotel was on the main road the night noise was minimal. we stayed in a double bed deluxe room which meant it faced the tavertines. Dinner was served by the pool and was pleasant with good turkish food. Bed was more than adequate and cooling system worked well. Enjoyed a fine evening with the hosts cousin who invited me to a run (declined-too long), and drinks and conversation after dinner. The raki was good and I probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise. This is what makes a travel especially worthwhile. Thanks cousin.

It was beautiful with excellent service, and the view was breath taking. Actually the hotel was better then the photographs we had the top room with a veranda and the whole view of the terraces from the bed room. the bath tub was brilliant.

Our goal while staying in Pamukkale was to be close to the baths and the ruins. You can’t get any closer then the Hal-Tur. Our room had a 180 degree view of the baths. The balcony was spacious and the room well appointed and comfortable. We always felt safe. The local area is worth exploring and easy access from the hotel. The owner and his staff are exceptionally friendly. As soon as we arrived and got settled the owner sat down with us and explained the entire area and how best to visit the attractions. He arrange a tour by private car with is brother, who took us to several locations/markets and another Roman ruin. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. The marble walk ways and patios are surrounded by several pomegranate trees which were in bloom during our visit. The pool is big, clean and refreshing. The breakfast is filling and fresh. The hotel also serves dinner. The food was delicious and the menu offered plenty of choices. Try the Turkish soup! Given the size of the town and from what I experienced, I would highly recommend you take your meals at the hotel. There is no reason to not stay at the Hal-Tur.

The scene from a balcony was splendid. The staff of the hotel was impressed by the correspondence very much fantastically. The dish was delicious, too, and "the chicken soup" was an unrivaled article.

I loved the Hal-Tur and would return in a heart-beat! We arrived late at night and the lovely owner gave us tea next to the wood-burning stove. It was quite cold and the heat was lovely in the spotlessly clean room. If you can, reserve a large double for extra space although the other rooms are fine, too. The view from the balconies are lovely of the Pammukale travertines(the only hotel that has this). There were also beautiful nar (pomegranate trees)as a view by the pool which looked inviting but was too cold to sample. The breakfasts were lovely and the dinners delicious. I have been to Turkey many times and traveled with my Turkish relatives who felt the same as I did. This is one of the best places I have been in for the money. The hospitality is something very special here and you feel very well taken care of. Thank you Hal-Tur for such a lovely stay.

This is a good choice for this town. It is clean and well-run, but basic. I don't believe there is a more deluxe property with this excellent proximity to the sights. We ate the restaurant and the food was also acceptable, but basic. The breakfast was fine. They have a great looking pool, but it was too cold to use it. I did have one problem with the place, though. I am beginning to get tired of the Turkish habit of having combined hotel/rug stores. Although they had a lovely selection of rugs and the owner seemed quite knowledgeable, we should not have felt compelled to experience his sales pitch. (As you do on the street constantly.) And this happened in several hotels during our trip to Tureky. They should understand that your hotel is your temporary home and it should be sacred that way.

Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. They gave us great advice on how best to visit Hierapolis, the natural Roman hot springs and the travertines. They drove us to the ideal drop-off spot, packed us a picnic lunch and lent us a brochure to use during our stay. Very good dinners in the light and roomy hotel dining room topped off each day. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with a fabulous view of the travertines.

Arrived tired after dark.Luggage whisked away from the car for us with an(unpushy) offer to book hotel dinner. Our'superior' grade room had a great view of the floodlit travertines + balcony, comfy bed, coffee maker and HOT water! Simple genuine place, good food and local wine, most pleasant management. My wife and I remember the Hal Tur with affection.

We were there in the low season, and since the hotel was not full, we were upgraded to a nicer room with direct view to the travertines for the same price we had agreed before!

This place is in a fantastic location, directly in front of the travertines. Beautiful view of the travertines from the rooms. A very short walk to the entrance of the travertines. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious (for European standards). Wonderful place, and I would definitely return.

Excellent, memorable experience. The manager made every effort to be a gracious and helpful host, including driving us to the top of Hierapolis with our car (since the site was about to close), serving us breakfast very early since we had an early flight, and showing us the location of an ATM when we needed cash. Rooms are simply furnished, but provide all amenities; view is very nice. Meals were actually far better than in the other, fancier and pricier hotels we stayed in. We bought a couple of kilims here, since the selection and prices were good, and the sales pitch informed yet not pressured. Beware of the touts on the road leading to the hotel who try to take you to another hotel; they are aggressive! We recommend the Hal-Tur very highly to anyone seeking a personalized experience. The site itself is stupendous and not to be missed; the countryside getting there lovely.

The hotel is exceptionally well run by the two brothers who own it. I chose the hotel for its proximity to the lavertines which allowed us to have an evening dinner at the hotel with the view of the lavertines. The night view of the lavertines from the balcony was amazing. The rooms were very clean, and I like the fact that the hotel is a family-business which believes in providing good service. I strongly recommend this hotel, and will definitely stay there again.
