Hotel Avenida - Pamplona

The hotel nominally comes with internet access. However, when I could not get it in my room (on the second floor) the staff insisted that it was because I used a macintosh. I later found out that internet access is only available on the upper floors (4th and above). The staff seemed unconcerned even after I demonstrated this to them.

Marta's welcome was friendly, if self-consciously chirpy. However, she has either had special training in choosing the worst room for us, or all rooms are of the same crummy standard. Paint scraped, wooden surfaces chipped, carpet stains and even (yuk) stains on fabric seat of chair. Web photos show dining room although restaurant has been closed for some time. We cannot rate breakfast, we just wanted to exit quickly. We have had FAR superior rooms across northern Spain in a lower or equivalent price bracket. Query : is the current star rating as stated ?

The avenida outside our windows was noisy from the very early morning... The hotel restaurant was closed for repair.

Apart from the receptionist, other staff were unhelpful.For example,we used the restaurant and we were given our main meal course without vegetables or potatoes just meat on its own. breakfast was very limited not even eggs were available. the location and room were good, shame about the service.
