Royal Sun Inn - Palm Springs

I stayed for a weekend, everything was almost perfect, I just have one complain, my first night when I went out, I came back the next day to my room, and I found that my room was dirty, I mean, nobody made up, the explanation I received from the lobby was that the maid get confused with the little ad you hang on the door, she thought it says DO NOT DISTURB, but NO, I made sure to turn the ad ASKING FOR CLEANING.... but at the end, was a nice experience at the hotel, everyone are so friendly !!

Was pleasanly surprised at the location....nice property, convenient and well maintained. We only had one night there but were pleased.

Spent couple of sleepless nights. Walls are paper thin, we could hear people above and on the sides, it sounded as if they were moving furniture all night long. We made a booking 6 months earlier and requested top floor for noise reasons. We were given ground floor room, and front desk told us that we got a great rate on internet and that is that, we can't get top floor - it cost more. Room was clean, breakfast is good, motel is in a good part of Palm Springs, pool is good. If you are sensitive to noise - look elsewhere.

Management was very rude and totally unwilling to honour request to stay on main floor, stating that Venere.com is only a middleman and requests made through them irrelevant. Furthermore, asking for the manager's name resulted in our being evicted from the motel, even after it had been paid for with a credit card! I am in the process of filing a complaint with the California Travel & Tourism Commission.

I reserved for two nights and in reception they told me I only did for one. I showed my reservation, clearly indicating reservation was done for to nights but the true is following night I slept in other hotel because they did not have any other available room.

We had a late flight so needed a model for the night till we picked up our car rental and moved on. The late-night front desk clerk was friendly and our room, which was the last one availavle and which we had not prepaid, was waiting. The room was worn and dated but clean. The one feature of the room which was updated, modern and appeared new were the beds which were very comfortable. We had one problem with some light switches; the night clerk tried to fix them without success, but said he would call the owners to see what further he could do. In the morning, everything worked. The breakfast was limited but adequate. The location was a few blocks walk from downtown Palm Springs. We paided about $65 including tax throug Venere. We believed the property gave good value in the budget category.

Air conditioner kept shutting off at night. Heard bathroom from next room all of the time.

Everything was great until check-out. We heard that they will add additional fees to your bill (like using the safe and local calling), so I was not surprised when they added it to my bill. They did remove the fees when I complained, BUT I do not like to be cheated. It kinda ruined what would have been a very nice stay.

Very good welcoming. Nice breakfast with wafels, etc... Swimming pool & spa very cool.

Had a grat time in Palm Springs.We went to my Granddaughters Wedding in Palm Desert.Will use your Hotel again.Got two more Granddaughters in Palm Springs. Thanks Ron Welch

We stayed at the Royal Sun Inn for 2 nights. Room was quite large and clean, it had AC. We had a breakfast included, which you can't really call it breakfast, better just go and eat out. The hotel had a good location very close to the center. Overall, it was a good place to spend a longer weekend.

We were pleasantly surprised with the value of the Royal Sun. There was a very large storm that had hit the area the evening before we arrived. When we got into our room, I noticed we had a nice view of the pool area, but there was debris in the pool. When we got up the next morning, the pool area was glistening! I was very impressed with the cleaning staff throughout our trip. The location was difficult to find(behind another hotel), but in the center of where you'd want to be for sightseeing. It was also off the main strip, so it was very quiet and pleasant.

I significantly lowered the rating of our stay because the room's heating unit didn't run longer than 5 minutes before switching to blowing unheated air. This problem was never fixed during the course of our 3-night stay. We reported the problem as soon as we could (after our first night) and despite following instructions from the Mgr on duty, AND efforts he claimed were made to restore proper heat delivery, we were never able to get heat blowing long enough to warm the room above 69 degrees during the day and the room was 65 at night. Though we were eventually given extra blankets, that's all the response the on-duty Mgr was able to muster (or was empowered by the owner to provide us). We were never offered a different room or any (even small) discount for our inconvenience at check-out. It's too bad the owner has so little respect for his patrons.
