Andreas Hotel & Spa - Palm Springs

The Hotel Andreas has an excellent location in the center of Palm Springs, with easy access to everything. My travel companion and I had separate rooms. We liked the refrigerator, microwave, the free WiFi, the free parking and the bathroom amenities. The rooms were slightly smaller than we expected, though not as small as European rooms. The free breakfast was OK, too. Our only problem was with the room heating system, where the thermostats were "off", keeping the room too cool overnight. Overall, we each thought that the hotel was fine, but nothing special, and that we would probably try a different place in one of the nearby towns if we were to return to that area in the future.

I enjoyed your hotel very much except for a few things. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the lights and the room was too dark to read in. There was some traffic noise from the street behind. There was a very loud family of adult women at the pool most of the day Saturday, and while I know that they paid for there stay also, they monopolized almost all of the lounge chairs (holding them for each other as they would be gone for more than an hour at a time) and as I said they were loud and a bit vulgar, making laying be the pool and trying to read there less than enjoyable. It was an incident, not a condition of your hotel, however it did make me think twice about returning as the pool area is quite small and it could only be escaped by leaving (another couple mentioned their discomfort with the situation to me later that night as well). Misters by the pool might be a nice touch.

I thought the rooms would be bigger. I think the hotel gave me the impression it would be nicer. On the phone they had told me it was the nicest room and thier favorite but while I did like the room it wasn't that special.
