Splendid Hotel La Torre - Mondello, Palermo

Nice. Small, acceptable imperfections. Some concerns about the restaurant (not very good and quite expensive..), I would suggest to go to the town instead.

I reserved a superior room, when I checked in I was shown a lousy room that faced the back of the hotel with two twin beds. When I complained, I was offered a larger excellent room that faced the ocean for more money, which I paid for. The hotel was fine and the employees friendly but the initial room switch gave the entire stay a unsatisfactory feeling. There needs to be pictures and views linked to the prices.

I was in Palermo to run the Palermo marathon. The hotel was perfectly situated for the marathon as it was within walking distance from the registration and from the start. The hotel has beautiful views, although my room had no view at all. Service was great. I had to get a wake up call and taxi at 3:30a.m. the morning of my departure and they handled it quickly and efficiently.

Beautiful hotel, perfectly located to visit the valley of temples. The price was excellent for the value offered.

The location is fantastic (don't miss the breakfast on the terrace!) and the personnel is very polite and helpful (e.g. they change two beds into one double bed immediately). Unfortunatelly, the facilities are sometimes poor. For example the bathroom as a insufficient illumination or the carpet in the corridor had a big stain. I am confident that few simple interventions can certainly step change the overall appeal of the place. Hint: ask for the room with view!

Bel hôtel en fin de promenade, très calme, demander vue sur la mer si vous comptez séjourner, les vues sur espaces intérieurs avec canalisations sont très moyennes et les espaces jardins moyennement entretenus. Nous n'avons vu qu'une piscine, plutôt profonde à réserver aux personnes sachant nager.Un accès direct "pleine mer" dans les rochers sympa. Si vous voulez faire un petit plongeon, mer ou piscine, arrivez avant 19H30, après c'est fermé ! Salle pour le petit déjeuner avec très belle vue sur Mondello et la mer. Eléments de décoration à l'intérieur des chambres et ameublement des couloirs un peu fatigués, mais sûrement un des meilleurs rapports qualité/prix que nous ayons trouvé en Sicile. Nous conseillerions cet hôtel à des amis.

Very nice hotel, it just needs a bit of TLC (i.e. external walls need some painting, carpet needs some cleaning, etc), nothing major, just little things you would expect for a 4 star hotel. Very nice hotel overall.
