Politeama Palace Hotel - Palermo

This hotel is very well situated on Politeama Plaza and has local & airport buses on the square outside. The hotel is a little tired and the foyer is in need of a very good scrub and clean, especially the sofas. The room was a good size and the airconditioner and fridge worked well. The breakfast had a good variety. Overall a cheap and satisfactory stay in the centre of Palermo.

The hotel is really clean, quiet and in an excellent location beside the Politeama Theater and Prada store. It was easy to get around town and see all the attractions. I don't know how the breakfast was because I came down with an aweful cold and slept past 10 on most mornings. Some things I though could have been better were: the information provided upon checkin. Most places tell you where to find the basics like pharmacies and when the breakfast is offered. I was given the key to my room and sent away. Also the internet was strange. I found that it was free because i paid the correct amount for the room but when i logged on it said my credit was 25 euro. Well, that lasts you about 4 hours and then you have to wait until the next day to get it recharged. Just have free wifi and give codes to those who have it included! Finally, the room smelled like there was something wrong with the toilet so I aired it out on the first day but the day I left I noticed the smell in the lobby. It was strong enough I could smell it through my cold! Yuck!

A bit difficult to go up and down with a baby: pushchair does not fit in the elevator...

The location is great, but the room was noisy.

very convenient location for both a nice night out and great connection with the airport (the bus stops just outside the door of the hotel)
