This is an old, worn establishment with character and a family feel. The location is excellent, close to the station and to the old city. Our spacious rooms were on the main street and were noisy, but we liked the view and appreciated being close to the pageantry for the Easter weekend; had we wanted to, we probably could have moved to rooms opening to the central space instead. Wireless internet accessible only in the lobby. Lots of gentle steps to get up to the entrance. For the price and location this was a wonderful base. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Palermo.

It was difficult to get into the house because one cannot see the ringing botton beside the hugh old door, so you are standing there at the street and dont know how to enter the hotel; if somebody accidentally comes out you get the chance to step into the court and from there you will find the steps into the hotel around the clock. To the central rail and bus station you will have 10 min. walking and many nice and remarkable places of Palermo you will find not far away. We have enjoyed our stay in Palermo.

I reserved a room without a toilet. There was only one toilet on the hallway. Not sure how many rooms were using it, but I almost always had to wait. Also, the breakfast was the typical protein-less Italian "sweet" breakfast. Everything packaged in cellophane.

If you like flashy new hotels this isn't the place for you, but if you relish character and can see the beauty of an architectural Grand 'Old lady' with a past then you will enjoy. Great welcome and very helpful. Value for money.

Very poor hygiene, especially in the toilet. There was even a big hole in the toilet and dust on the windows that was not cleaned for ages! The personnel was not nice at all, except for one receptionnist. Breakfast very bad! Very nice palace but no good taste in decoration. It's a pity!

Mattress could use an upgrade. No elevator. Located on the second floor. Though we travel light, we were carrying all our luggage. In our 70's 3 flights of stairs make it a bit of a hassle. People warm and helpful. Breakfast pretty good. Plain Jane, quiet, close to train station.

Good price/quality. Located in the center in a old palazzo not very well renovated but charming. Be careful not all rooms have bathroom and toilet in the room. I didn't notice that we had a shared bathroom. It was ok at this period because there was few people so it was clean and available.

This has not been my first stay here. If you're expecting the Hotel des Palmes or 4star hotel chain, forget it but for clean rooms, friendly welcome and loads of old world character it can't be beat.Personally there is nothing I would change and as I regularly visit Palermo I'll be back.

This was exactly what it was advertised to be: an inexpensive stay. It is housed in part of an old palce, which is pretty cool. Its prett close to the main areas of Palermo. I would stay again.

We arrived there just tired and main entrance doesn't looks exactly like one hotel. Out side apearance resembles a crumbling building, and main atrium reflects literally that image. Carring heavy lugagges be aware of stairs.
