Hotel's main gate on a narrow street shouldn't surprises visitors, hotel's entrance is after a patio. Interior of hotel is so nicely decorated. Room and bathroom is quite large. Wi-fi is working good enough. There was loud music coming from a disco nearby. Breakfast room is very small and I can't say breakfast is rich.

Despite the very poor apperance of the building, and a bit "out of nowhere" location, the hotel is well managed and rooms are fine a freshly refurbished. Good level for breakfast. Very attentive and professional reception. Definitely a good value for money spent.

The hotel is in the middle of town, every sight is on walking distance. In a town you may expect some noise, but here a disco nearby made an extreme noise. Sleeping was only possible with the airco on. But this can't be blamed on the hotel.

This is a very nice friendly hotel in the centre of Palermo. Since Palermo is a old city with very narrow streets, it's not so easy to find the hotel. But once you've parked your car, you directly walk into the heart of the city.

This little hotel is situated really near the centre. From the outside I thought it wasn't very nice, but once I entered the hotel and I met the staff -so helpful, nice and prepared about the city- I understood I would have stayed well there.

+ : city center, clean, free parking right next to hotel, helpful staff, breakfast. - : no wi-fi, loud music during night because of bars near by, not so spacious rooms. = : Wife and I would stay there again.

nice stay in the hearth of Palermo, don't be frightened by the gate and the close surroundings, step into the doorway and let the surprise come to you. Very useful the little car parking inside (taken for granted that no more than three guests at the same time have a car to park).

Hotel Columbia is a recently renovated hotel in the city center of Palermo. It would be THE place to choose for your stay but for the wing overlooking the pub area: if you happen to have your room there, forget about a good night sleep!

It was a family owned hotel with a really nice staff and a quite excellent continental breakfast. The room was sufficiently spacious with a big bathroom and everything was very clean and tidy. The only problem was that I don't think there was any heat but I'm sure for most of the year this doesn't matter.

Small family run hotel which couldn't be more central - easy to reach all the sites and the main transport hubs. And they drove me, very reasonably, to the airport at the end of my stay which was very kind. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout - my stay was outstanding value for money and I will certainly return. The facilities are basic but perfectly adequate and the rooms and the linen were always spotless. WiFi would be nice, but then I think that's a Sicilian problem! There are several internet cafes nearby. As a base for touring north west Sicily, I thoroughly recommend the Columbia.

Very friendly and helpful. Very nice area, near to the main sights, but also near to nightlife, so not too quiet, and building work going on next door, so you will have an early call!

Very hard to find, lane is very small and dirty and you would not expect a hotel in this area. The hotel itself was clean and the facilities good. The room was very small, with two normal travel bags you could hardly move. We stayed over the weekend and the room was not cleaned during that time. The receptionist did not speak any English at all, so information exchange was hard. However, just around the corner is a lane with lots of small bars and restaurants with nice local charme. All sights are in walking distance (Duomo, Normans Palazzo, etc.).
