We had a very nice time & were very pleased with the hotel, it was very close to the centre, but some of the hotel staff were not overly helpful when we asked about buses to other cities, thought they could have been more helpfull & thought breakfast could have been a bit later finishing than 10am & there was no budging, staff were packing breakfast away at precicley 10am! But the overall stay was very good.

Conveniently located on quiet street but walking distance to major attractions. Very spacious room and modern bathroom, nice linen and towels. Breakfast is fine, served in a nice "patio". Valet-parking (a must in Palermo!). Hotel also owns an excellent restaurant, "Sesto Canto", which offers a modern Sicilian cuisine. Good quality-price relationship. We really recommend Ai Cavalieri and will undoubtedly come back on a next trip to Sicily. Congratulations to the manager of both businesses, Mr. Claudio Calivá!

If you are unfortunate enough to have to spend time in hideous Palermo, this is definitely the place to stay. Great location across from a Park and convenient to sights and restaurants, Valet parking (the extra 15 Euro was a bit steep if you ask me), great breakfast, free international newspapers in the lobby, elegantly furnished rooms and bathrooms. Front desk staff was competent but could have been more warm and welcoming.

Good location. Helpful staff who sent us to good restaurant just round the corner after 10pm for dinner. Room adequate but missing items - 1 towel. No milk. Breakfast setting nice but poor quality and no service.

The hotel is situated in a good and silent area of Palermo, walking distance from all main attractions, a lot of restaurants and bars in the surroundings. Very clean, modern and comfortable rooms, kind and helpful staff, nice courtyard for having breakfast.

Excellent location, close to the main theatres in Palermo;A lot of restaurants, trattorias, bars, cafes in the area;ask for information at the reception desk;they are very kind and helpful.Good-sized rooms but the air-conditioning is a little bit noisy.Breakfast should be improved with fresh fruit and juices.

We had a nice room overlooking a park at the front of the hotel. You could look down the street to Politeama. Very elegant hotel with a nice courtyard to take breakfast in. Within decent walking distance to most everyhting. Across the park from the hotel was a very nice residential neighborhood that had very good restaurants and bars that the locals went to.

Beautiful decor almost everywhere. Warm rich colors, very pretty doors, carpeting is splendid, etc... Breakfast in the courtyard was very nice except for the coffee which was bitter. The nice girls who work breakfast need to replace food and beverages and see that forks, knives and spoons are always available when needed, which too often they didn't. Very pleasant and confortable hotel. We hope to return there. Jim & Patrick

When we arrived, police were in the lobby and outside, which the staff explained had to do with an important "meeting," presumably including someone requiring security. Whatever the reason, the staff was preoccupied and not always forthcoming, though when service was provided it was always excellent. The location of the hotel is good, in the swankier New Town section outside of the Medieval Quarter, but close enough to walk most anywhere. The breakfasts were generous and varied but the morning we had one, not well prepared (the scrambled eggs were watery and cold). The room we had was splendid -- clean, spacious, nicely appointed, with a great bathroom and a comfortable bed -- and the price was reasonable, though perhaps that was because it was November. We experienced no homophobia here, not even a hint, and nowhere else in Palermo, for that matter.

Stay was very good as it should be for 4 star. It was a legitimate and solid 4 stars. A little bit difficult to find. Venere should consider listing major cross streets for all properties anyway as well as a lower level map than the ones typically shown. I have had this same problem at several properties I have been to. Everyone I asked had heard of Piazza Sant'Oliva not via Sant'Oliva. I would definetely stay there again.
