Nice hotel. The location was a little isolated - 20 minutes walk away from the centre of Mondello on a dark road. The breakfast was ok, but the fill-up of coffee and food was unsatifactory. Coffe and tea was cold. Heaavy treaffic noice from the main road in front of the hotel - assk for a room to the back!

Our stay at the Addaura hotel was good. The rooms were a bit old, but clean. The shower was a bit too small, but all in all a nice stay. As for the surroundings, if not eating in the restaurant next door, you really need a car to go to Palermo and over there it's a bit hard to find some parking space...

Very good value, we needed some R&R time after a lot of travelling. found everything excellent - staff friendly, fine big bedroom. free internet access downstair - pool pleasant. location of hotel jusy outside mondello (15-20min walk) only issue. 603/803 bus + get 101 to downtown Palermo

We stayed here twice at beginning and end of our trip around Sicily. It was our best hotel, and by far the best value. Well placed to avoid driving into Palermo in the manic traffic. The beach outside the hotel was disappointing but the hotel itself was great.

We were a little unlucky that it was Saturday night and there was a lot of noise as people left the nearby nightclub. The swimming pool is superb - one of the best hotel pools I have seen Good value for an overnight stop

Busy "business hotel" ideal for leisure use as a base for nearby Mondello, Monreale and Palermo. Rooms were well equipped and spotlessly clean. Service and facilities were excellent. The Reception staff especially were extremely helpful and competent. Small irritation regarding the "rules" associated with the use of the pool and the front entrance been used by all the smokers in the building (and there were quite a few)

Mondello is in deed expensive. The room had only a small window - no balcony. Other rooms may be better since they offer balconies. The village is about 2km away along a rather stressing road which is no fun walking. All in all OK but not super.

We booked a B&B room overlooking to the sea. In overall, it was very nice. The hotel is quite close to the Mondello beach. The only thing that we did not like is that we had to take 2 different buses to get to the Palermo central station, from which we could start a city tour or get a shuttle to leave for the airport. The road on which this hotel is located is quite small. The bus is often get stuck in the traffic jam. Of course, it could have been more comfortable if we traveled by taxi instead of public transportation. Upon welcoming, the hotel staff did not say that we were offered a free breakfast. We then forgot to have the breakfast in the very next morning :)

Disappointed to find swimming pools were empty even though it was 25oC. Bathroom in room had bad smell from drain also tiled floors meant rooms were very noisy. Reception staff ranged from very helpful to surley and down right rude. Further from Mondello than we had expected. Given it is only 3 star it was actually good value for money.

Our primary interest in staying here was ths hotel's proximity to the airport -- and in that respect it was very convenient, just 20 minutes by car. It was also, at a discounted price, good value for Sicily. It doesn't have much personality, but for a one-night stay when your main objective is to get out of Palermo without a lot of hassle, it was fine.

You really need a car to get here and it was a little difficult to find. The hotel is very nice but it would have been far better had the beautiful pool been opened, which I think happens in June sometime. We asked for, and got, a room with a terrace and view of the water which is worth asking for. The hotel is within easy driving of Mondello beach and we went there to walk and eat in the evening.

We arrived at the hotel very late and the staff were very friendly and even offered to order us pizza as the restaurant was closed. The room was spacious with a nice view. Unfortunatly the thing that let down the hotel was the noise levels. I realise the hotel can't be responsible for other peoples behaviour but it was frustrating to listen to loud conversations and doors slamming all night. The breakfast wasn't that good either.

Great hotel with a good pool and friendly staff, a little too far out of Palermo when driving the 15min journey back from a night out in Palermo. It is very close for Mondello beach though!!

Photograph makes hotel look closer to the beach than it is. Difficult to get to despite being on the coast because it is behind a hill. Staff were very misleading: 1. Driver will give fares - they dont and bus inspectors are regular 2. Bus no 604 - only takes you half-way, you need a 101 or 107 after that. Fares are time-based so do need need another ticket. 3. Can they provide a gluten-free meal - translator no, chef yes. Chef correct, but only more confident after the excellent risotto. Ken Brown

The hotel, was comfortable and clean, but the price range way too expensive!! The pool was not open, the ocean was indeed 200 meters away, but there was no beach, just huge rocks. The staff was very unkind, and unhelpful, both at the restaurant and the front desk. They were very unfriendly, and did not try at all to cater to any of our questions or requests. This hotel is far away from Mondello beach, and the bus only comes once every hour. Because of the service and price DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

The hotel is quite easy to get to, and offers a relativley relaxed stay compared with the chaos of Palermo. However, its seaside location does not benefit from a serviceable beach, and the pool is not open year round. Services seem quite limited, but the rooms were spacious.

The location was not good for a holiday. The centre of town with all the restaurants and amenities was 25 minutes away, of which 10 minutes were along a busy and winding road without a pavement. Good if you want to use it as a base for exploring the area by car.

Hotel Addaura is located in Mondello, an easily reached area when arriving in Palermo by Ferry (as we did) or, I expect, by any other means of transport. The rooms are spacious and, by and large, quiet. We did endure an overnight party with lots of noise coming from the beach but the Hotel Clerk was very concerned and had called the police for assistance. Eventually, things quieted down. The hotel has a gorgeous pool and provides a generous breakfast. The staff was very cooperative, speak english well and were very helpful in providing information and directions. Were we to return to Palermo, we would definitely plan to again stay at the Hotel Addaura.
