Hotel Viena Apartments - Paleohora

We stayed at Viena apartments for 10 days and it was one of the nicest places that we have ever stayed in Greece! Eleni, the lovely owner, and her family made us feel really welcome and were there to help us at all times. The apartments were just far enough out of Paleochora to be really peaceful but near enough to be able to go into town very easily. Nearby were some other lovely beaches and areas of wildlife including the protected Juniper trees. There was no noise at night – just the bird and insects. The apartment was in a small block on two floors in a very well looked after garden full of lovely trees and flowers. The pool which the children LOVED was large and clean and there was a separate smaller area for younger children. The bar area was lovely and shady and it was a great place to relax in. The apartment was really modern, very clean and very well laid out with a huge bedroom and a good size kitchen area with all we needed in it. A table both inside and out was very useful and the two other beds in the living area converted neatly into a sofa during the day. The bathroom was modern and there was always lots of hot water. There was plenty of cupboard space, a TV and even a DVD player! The balcony had areas of both sun and shade and made a welcome place to sit. The rooms were kept really clean, the beds made and the towels regularly changed. The breakfasts were more than worth getting up for – freshly laid eggs, fresh bread, cheese, freshly picked and squeezed orange juice, homemade cake, croissants, coffee, milk for the children and anything we wanted. Best of all, Eleni and her family were so kind and made us feel as if we were part of the family. They gave us lots of ideas of things to do, checked weather forecasts for us, chatted to us and really made us feel at home. We will miss them very much. If you want a really peaceful and enjoyable holiday, this is the place to go!
