Very convenient, functional hotel, not far from station or to walk into the city centre along the river bank. Reception staff very helpful and welcoming. Bedroom fine, but the walls were very thin. I could hear the conversations of people in the next room! I think wifi should be included in the price.

Good cheap hotel, very clean but essential. Rooms are not big, bed was new and comfortable. Stuff very helpful and nice. The breakfast was good even if the choice was a bit limited. You can park the car without any charge, but you need to take a car or public transport to go to the city. The relationship between price and service is very good. If you are looking for a low cost hotel and do not pretend luxury treatment this is good place to stay

I stayed for one week at Hotel alla Fiera, because I was looking for a permanent room for my Erasmus-Semester. The entrance is small, but adequate. Anyway, you can sit on the beautiful terrace and enjoy an italian caffè! The rooms are clean and functional and the roomservice came everyday! For breakfast there was a small buffet with almost everything you needed. At lunchtime or in the evening, I can truly recommend the "Trattoria al Fungo" next to the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and cordially, so I absolutely would return to Hotel alla Fiera!

amazing choice! I would come here again in a heartbeat. The staff was super friendly and the location was great, 10 minutes from the train station and an easy walk. The free breakfast in the morning was very good and had a lot of variety, that alone was worth it. Safe neighborhood by the university, I am a single 22 year old american girl and I was 100% safe walking back after dark one evening.

This was a great hotel, good value, excellent service and helpful staff. Had booked because of proximity to Scrovegni Chapel and it was just a 10 minute walk. If you stay try the Trattoria del Funghi next door for a really superb meal.

Having left it too late to book a hotel in Venice that I could afford I chose instead to stay in Padua and commute by train (40 minutes and 3.50 euros on the train). This hotel offered a single room with a perfectly adequate breakfast for 33 euros, half the price of the cheapest hotel I know of in Venice. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station and a short walk from the centre of Padua, a wonderfully pleasant town which is sadly overlooked by tourists. The Giotto chapel is one of the masterpieces of western art. The hotel is mainly used by Italians but I was made very welcome by the helpful staff and would thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone choosing to see the delights of Padua or to use it as a base for seeing Venice or indeed as a base for visiting other parts of the Veneto by train, e.g. Verona, Vicenza, as well as Mantua and Bologna, all within easy reach.

The hotel is clean, friendly, well placed for walking into the city and offers guests very good value for money. On arrival in about temperatures of around 38c it was brilliant to walk into the bedroom where the air conditioning had been turned on before our arrival. Breakfast was excellent too. A good place to stay for a couple of days sightseeing – we would have no hesitation in booking the hotel again.

We stayed only 1 night at Alla Fiera but this was definitely enough as the room looked like very old fashion and the shared bathroom was always occupied (even if the hotel told us that only 2 rooms incl. ours use this bath room - rather unbelievable). Additionally the hotel was very loud and there were a very strange smell like hot fat, assuming that this came from the restaurant which is situated in the same building - no chance to sleep without the feeling of being in a snack booth. The including breakfast was rather poor. Summarized this hotel wasn´t our favourite and once we go back to Padova we will look for another one.

We stayed here for 3 days, no real problems - quiet rooms, helpfull staff with some English, short (10 mins) walk from the centre and breakfast included. It was necessary to pay for the wifi though even as a guest (1 euro for an hour, 10 euros for 3 days) which i thought lowered the hotels value for money a little.

Small hotel, nice stuff. Hotel is clean, near to the “fiera” and not to far from the city center. I was in a single room, big enough, furnished without pretensions but with a good bed. Surroundings are not the best ones, a kind of industrial area. Stuff extremely polite and helpful.

Padova, beautiful and expensive town. Alla Fiera is a nice hotel to stay in for a couple of days without been pretentious. It is located near the Railway Station and well conected with the rest of the city. Hotel's breakfast is bad, I suggest to make reservations without it and take a delicious italian cappucino at any bar in the surroundings. It should have an elevator. Staff is very attentive and helpful, though. I think price is to high for the structure and services offered but I ubderstand that is the range of prices at Padova, in general.

For our 1st stay, we enjoyed the hotel and sights. Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very generous and service good. Rooms were clean but the single mattresses made sleeping for 2 people a little uncomfortable as they separated in the night. AC provided. A little bar refrigerator in the room would be an asset. Less noise at night in the hallway would provide a restful sleep.

The hotel was guite good, we stayed here for 3 nights, but mostly came there only late in the night. It was guite in the room, for the night they turned on the heating, because it was not very warm in Padova in april 2010. I missed the normal bed-side table - it was very tiny. The staff was really friendly and helpful, but one lady was well-spoken overmuch, so that she ignored that some food was already missing on the table during breakfast and some of guests could not asked her to bring them some hot drinks (milk and juice were already finished) while she discussed with one couple the places of interests in Padova. I understand she tried to be helpful for that couple, but another guests needed also some attention from her side. Also I haven't seen that bar was open after 22.30, as we came to the hotel and wanted to have some tee.

The front desk people were very friendly. Beyond that, we were extremely disappointed with this property. The hotel looks like a youth hostel in desperate need of repair, both inside and outside. We stayed in a room with an en suite bathroom for one night and we could not wait to get out! The room was very dingy and small. It was actually depressing to stay there. It was quite hot outside the night we stayed. If you expect air conditioning that works well, look elsewhere. The room was so warm that we were prepared to leave and pay for a room at another hotel just to get a good night's sleep. After we complained the hotel lowered the thermostat (which cannot be controlled by guests). But every time the air conditioner blew out cold air after a couple of minutes if turned itself off, just as the room was beginning to cool off. It cycled on and off like this the entire night, keeping the room uncomfortable but tolerable. The hotel is located in a residential/commercial area on the outskirts of town, about a twenty minute walk to the train station and about a half hour to forty five minute walk to the center of Padova. We rarely complain about hotels, since we are just looking for clean, comfortable properties. However, this hotel was the worst we have ever stayed in and we would never return.

Very friendly staff but it was overpriced (even without breakfast). The room was a bit shabby and the place is not so close to the railway station as I expected (some 20-25min walk with suitcase, definitely not 500m away as stated but rather 1.5km). Still, it was ok for my one-night stay since there was no better rate/location ratio for online booking in Padua at the time.

I stayed at "Alla Fiera" Hotel for one night only with my gf. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms (ours also had air conditioning, which was very useful, since we went in Padua at the end of August). All employees were also very kind, and took the time - upon our arrival - to provide us with a map of Padua and show us where the place we had to go to was. The hotel's external appearance (it looks kind of cheap) does not do justice to the attention that is put into the care of the interior: clean rooms and tidy spaces everywhere. The hotel is located in a quiet road at about a ten/fifteen-minute walk from the railway station, and another ten/fifteen-minute walk from the city centre. If you need an inexpensive place to stay a few days in Padua, Hotel "Alla Fiera" is great value for your money.

The nearest area to the hotel is not very insteresting, and with few places to eat. But the hotel is only a short walk from both the railway station and the Scrovegny Chapel, which was most important for us. Staff is really efficient and sympathetic. Thank you very much. There is no lift at the hotel but the person who welcomed us offered to bring up our luggages in the rooms. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and chose it for its prices and its proximity of Venizia. Location was good : near Padova's station and a post office. The surroundings were very quiet in August. We got our own car for going to the Padova's center, but we thank it was possible to go by foot : please inform... 2 things to perform : - air conditioning could be a little noisy by night, - the room with double bed and bathroom was a little small (the size of the other room, with 2 beds and shared bathroom was ok)

Not a good Experience. During very hot weather the Air conditioner could not cope. This was mainly because there was heating in pipes under the bathroom and part of the bedroom floor. Also the bathroom was VERY small. The toilet would have been impossible for anyone of above average height or weight to use. Location in terms of the railway station was OK, but out of the way for use of any town facilities. However pleasant hotel staff and good trattoria next door.

Hard to find. We needed to call the hotel several times before we were able to locate the property. Arrived in the late evening from Ravenna and were shocked.
