The Victoria Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Oxford, making this quiet and low-cost family-run Oxford hotel a peaceful and affordable alternative to more central hotels. Nonetheless, due to the city's small size, the centre of Oxford, where the University of Oxford's colleges, museums and libraries are found, is only 15 minutes' walk away.
Just off the Abingdon Road, the Victoria Hotel offers visitors to this inspiring city much more than its 2 stars would lead you to believe. This is a great hotel for guests with pets who have time to stroll into the city on foot, as well as small families, since the staff will to their utmost accommodate your every need.
While staying at the Victoria Hotel, you can take advantage of the wireless Internet access or surf the net on the Internet point if you want to leave your laptop at home. After a busy day in Oxford, a delicious Italian or English dish and a welcome drink are waiting for you in the restaurant and bar.

My mother, sister and myself arrived Sept.26/08. I had not taken our flight time into account and had said we would be arriving Sept.25/08 by accident. Although we were in the low season and the hotel was not full on the night we had booked, the owner was hostile about my mistake and insisted I pay the 130.00 pounds for the night we were not there. I did not try to blame anyone other than myself for the error, but I think she could have been more forgiving and at least split the cost given the circumstances. The room was a bit on the dingy side, the toilet wouldn't flush and the water pressure for the shower was very low. I also had to pay for wireless internet. And the man who served us breakfast berated us for not finishing what was on our plates...On our way back through Oxford we stayed at the Lakeside Bed and Breakfast just down the road which was far cleaner with wonderful ammenities, free wireless connection and cost over 30.00 pounds less than the Victorian Hotel. I still cringe to think that our first night's stay in England in a marginal hotel cost me almost $500.00CAN

By car
From the North: leave the M40 motorway at Junction 9 and take the A34 South towards Oxford. Leave the road at the 6th exit, signposted for Hinksey Hill Interchange. At the roundabout, take the first exit; at the next roundabout, take the first exit onto the Abingdon Road, signposted for Oxford City Centre. The hotel is on the left.
From the South: leave the M4 motorway at Junction 13, taking the A34 North towards Oxford. Leave the road at the exit signposted for Hinksey Hill Interchange/Ring Road/Oxford City Centre (M40/A423/A4144). Follow signs for the City Centre and then take the first exit at the next roundabout onto Abingdon Road. The hotel is on the left.
From London: leave the M40 motorway at Junction 8, taking the ring road towards Cowley (A4l42). Pass the BMW factory, go over the flyover, and then go straight on at the next roundabout. Go straight ahead at the Sainsbury's roundabout, straight over the A423, and then turn right at the next roundabout onto the Abingdon Road, towards Oxford City Centre. The hotel is on the left.

will be charged in advents & not refundable & the rest of the reservation will
