exterior The Hotel Villa Rosa Antico is a 16th-century villa standing on high ground among orange groves, looking down on both houses and coastline. Its setting provides an atmosphere that has faithfully preserved the authenticity of places still closely linked to the past. Over the years the villa has had several different owners but the last person to purchase it gave it as a gift to one of his sons who restored it and transformed it into a hotel. Surrounded by nature, full of atmosphere and painted pink, it is owned and run by the Campa family who gives a warm and friendly welcome to its guests.

The rich façade of the Villa is built entirely in stone from the Lecce area (in Salento dialect known as leccisu), also called "kind stone", a typical kind of rock formation of the Salento region which is much appreciated for its malleability and for the fact it is easy to work. The same stone is also found in the interior, in the columns, the arches and in certain items of furnishing.

All such beauty is set within the splendid landscape of Otranto, the most eastern city in Italy.

How to reach Hotel Rosa Antico

By car
Otranto can be reached by motorway as far as Bari and then by the Brindisi-Lecce super-route. From here go onto the West By-Pass (Tangenziale Ovest), carry on until you get to Exit 11/B Maglie-Otranto-S.M. di Leuca and then continue as far as the turning for Maglie-Otranto on the right, and then turn left onto the S.S. 16 road and continue for approx. 15 km.
At the first junction get into lane following signs for Otranto-Laghi Alimini. The Hotel Villa Rosa Antico is located at 50 km on the right. It is about 800 metres from the town and from the beach and for this reason it is a place of tranquillity.
