Hotel Corte di Nettuno - Otranto

Room was ok, bad room waw very good, but the breakfast was very poor and the personal was controling what and how much we are eating.

Located outside the old town just off the road to the new harbour it is a short walk to the walled part of the town either up the hill via the harbour road or via the new harbour and some big wooden steps steps to a gate in the town wall. (the more scenic option). The hotel is modern and quirkily decorated with ship memorabilia. like most of Italy the street outside is a work in progress and the large municipal car park opposite houses a big weekly market. There is a restaurant in the hotel but if you are looking for the local experience try the small restaurant half way up the hill on the left of the road into town. does not look much from the outside but food excellent and unbelievably good value. in October the season is very much over and the town going into sleep mode for the winter, with many shops closing down - but the main beach in town is nice - the water warm and clear - perfect for relaxing. Buffet Breakfast at Nettuno is good and substantial with the option of eggs etc freshly cooked to order. Overall it is a reasonable hotel where everyone tries and seems to be aiming for the boutique hotel market - not convinced it gets there though. For example there are nice rooftop terraces with seating but these are not really utilised - and with a bit more effort could be a real feature. ok we were off season but the sign of a really good hotel is attention to detail all year round.

We enjoyed staying in the Hotel Corte di Nettuno as their service was excellent and the food of their restaurant was also delicious!

My wife and I stayed two nights at Corte di Nettuno in Otranto in June. The hotel is in the quiet port area but within a short 5-10 minute stroll to the main town area. The air conditioned room was large and very clean. Buffet breakfasts were very good with a wide selection of fruits, cakes and the like. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The secure hotel car park costs 10 Euro per day but is worthwhile because of the general lack of parking space in the area. We would definitely recommend the hotel as good value though the main season prices may be somewhat higher than we paid.

This hotel is very different from any other I visited .It is a very charming place, with a surprising collection of old naval pieces , with natural shells as decoration, with beautiful ceilings and a very Otranto-like floor (mosaics!!). The description of the hotel in the web site is not complete : the terrace with mediterranean trees and the solarium are not indicated.
