The room was typically small, but the shower was almost unusable. It was a bit over two foot square. There was no shuttle service available as I had an early flight. Taxi cost for the ten minutes ride was 35 euro, nearly as much as the ride from Rome to the hotel.

Excellent location on seafront at absolute centre of Ostia. Perfect plaace to stay when touring the environs of Rome. Plenty of on street parking. Lots of cafes and restaurants in area; breakfast at hotel adequate but disapponting as is normal in Italy.

We loved this hotel, right on the water and a great patio outside our room. One drawback was that it was farther from the train station than the website indicated, 15 - 20 minute walk or a bus plus a 4 or 5 block walk. The airport shuttle didn't run early enough for us, so we took an inexpensive municipal bus to the airport.

The room was not overly clean-the bed was very tiny, yes it was a single room, but still. Shower and bathroom could use better cleaning, as they had hair, build-up, weak water pressure, and the soap dish was broken off, and just hanging in there. Walls were quite dirty inside the room. Room was a bit hard to be in-I had one suitcase, and that was tight :). Maybe it's different for double rooms. Wi-Fi is in the lobby on the coach only. Good things: excellent cappuccino in the AM, and the rooms get the sea-view. Not much of a breakfast: it's coffee, juice, toast and a cornetto. For what this hotel was I found it too pricey. I do not recommend this place if you want to sleep or relax - open air stage/disco is juts in front of it,and there is a pizzeria-bar downstairs. If you are out to party in Lido di Ostia, and you do not go to bed until 3 am - this is a good place to crash. For me- I'd rather stay elsewhere, as this hotel was far from the big discos and my favorite beach- Tibidabo.

The front of the hotel was under renovation, and our room had the window open, witch resulted in a very dusty room. When we contacted the staff, they were very quick to change our room, and they checked the other rooms to. The staff was very helpful with this. OK breakfast. The hotel is situated on the beach, with only a road between the beach and hotel. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel. Close to the Metro witch takes you into Rome.

The heating didn't work and the staff was making fun of me. they couldn't save problem even changing room the heating didn't start. one night was starting and it was extremely hot, it wasn't possible to control the temperature). I have been there for 4 nights, 2 of them were without heating. I spoke with other guests the first night and they told me they had the same problem with the heating. Another day I heard the personnel talking about the issue, more rooms were having the same problem. NOT ACCEPTABLE !

Best feature is closeness to airport, about 20 minutes). Shuttle, which hotel will arrange, was excellent and cost 10 Euros for two of us. Ostia is not upmarket, although day at beach is available across the street. In the evening, restaurants do not open until 7:30PM. Hotel has seen better days. Tiny shower. Staff helpful. Morning breakfast excellent. Careful of karaoke bar noise which plays some nights until midnight.

The rooms were a but small. Parking was a problem as the hotel does not have its own car park and at the weekend with the crowds on the beach parking is at a premimun

Our room door did not lock properly, but the hotel staff addressed the issue courteously and moved us to a new room. The next day we saw workers come to fix the door. The staff was terrific. Ostia lido itself was a dirty, busy little town, but has good train access to Ostia Antica and downtown Rome.

Good hotel, nice rooms with airco and not too much noise, while rooms are along the boulevard of Ostia.

The hotel catered for a wonderful variety of people from young to family and even for the more seasoned traveler . Ideally situated near the beach and many restaurants it is also a short walk to the train station that has you in Rome in thirty minutes . This is a great place to enjoy both a beach holiday along with the wonders of Rome .

Perfect location just in front of the sea. Discount on prices for private beaches. Nice breakfast. The pub nextdoor offers delicious big pizze at small prices.

We really liked this hotel, directions to find it from the train station were non-existant, it really is "on" the beach. It had the 1st bathroom in Italy we'd used that was good sized and had full water power. However, the room smelled horribly of smoke (everything smelled: lamp shades, blankets & bed cover), except for the clean sheets -a blessing. Don't know if there is such thing as a "smoke-free" room, we didn't ask. The town is lovely, very easy to get to out of Rome Termini and even though we were there on "Easter Monday" and it was full of people, that didn't detract from its charm.

The hotel is in the process of renovation and did not present a particularly good impression as far as the decor was concerned in the corridors and the outside at rear. The view from our window was a building site and not very pleasant, whereas the view from my mother's room and the balcony sitting area was lovely with views over the promenade and sea. The situation of the hotel was excellent - a real prime position, and when the renovation is completed it will be much better. The man on the desk on arrival spoke no English therefore communication was difficult, especially as we did not have any idea about having to inset a key before we could have any power, it would have been useful to have had some sort of instructions in English for tourists. The breakfast was very disappointing and inadequate, and very poorly presented. I have never had such a poor breakfast in a hotel before, very little choice and throw away plates and cutlery!! however the girl on the desk in the morning spoke excellent English and was VERY helpful and pleasant. My mother's single room (with a double bed) was small but pleasant, and our triple room, for myself and 2 daughters was just about big enough but good value for money. We found the situation very good and the amenities in the area excellent - restaurants, tourist things and the beaches and their facilities were brilliant. Being on the seafront, it was of course very noisy at night, but that was to be expected and was fascinating to watch the Italian drivers - we did see one minor accident! Over all we enjoyed our brief stay, before travelling on to our final destination in the mountains north of Rome - it made a good start to our holiday. The directions on the web site for getting to the hotel were not explicit enough and we had problems, and of course parking was a problem. But with exception of the breakfast, the hotel was adequate for our needs and good value for money. I shall use the general web site again to find accommodation

Iwould recommend this hotel for both relaxing by the coast or getting back into Rome as the train station is located near by.
