Hotel Firenze - Ospedaletti

Fantastic hotel with fantastic service and staff, warmth of home

The hotel was nice and conveniently located being only 15 mins bus ride from Sanremo, but I was quite a novelty being a young(ish), single, female, British traveller!

Overall a very pleasant stay, beautiful view, very proper, nice, helpful and competent staff. We will definitely come back once!

We had a great stay at Hotel Firenze. We stayed in a rooom on the first floor and our room had amazing sea view and a huge balcony. The panoramic terrace is amazing, decorated with fruit trees and plants and overlooking the sea and the mountains. Breathtaking views. Spacious, clean rooms. However, the beds are rather small for peole taller than 190 cm. Friendly English speaking staff. Opedaletti is a very calm village. Not much happens here - if you´re looking for night life and crowds, look somewhere else. This a place to just relax and enjoy the slow atmosphere. There are several good restaurants in the area, in praticular one called "Il Trullo", with great Sottofiletto. The only thing we can complain about is the beach. There are stone beaches only and you have to be careful when swimming. The good thing though is that this makes the beach sparesly crowded. Also, to rent sunbeds on the beach cost almost a fortune. Hotel Firenze and Ospedaletti are highly recommended if you want to unwind, eat good food and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The hotel wouldn't accept my both credit cards. Since they were accepted elsewhere without any problems, I highly suspect the owner just preferred cash. Breakfast costs additionally 10€ and it doesn't correspond to the price of the room (50€ single room). BTW in Ospedaletti you get in each caffee with drink small snacks for free. Very nice gesture. I stayed only night in Ospedaletti though. I wouldn't stay longer. The beach doesn't look like natural, but very industrial.

This was my first stay in Hotel Firenze, however, my experience was so satisfactory that before departing, enroute to Portugal, I made a further reservation for my return journey the following month.

Having been quoted €1,100 per night to stay at the Grand Hotel in Monte Carlo during Grand Prix week! We found this quiet family run Hotel only 30km over the border in Italy with rooms from only €100 per night. One concern was secure off road parking for my Car which we had transported from the UK especially for the Holiday, fortunatley if you ask at Reception a key can be provided to a gated secure compound at the rear of the Hotel at no extra charge. The room was clean and the sea view from the balcony as good as what you get at the Grand Hotel but for a lot less money! A Taxi was organised for us by the friendly staff on Reception to take us to the Station in Ventimiglia from there it was just a €6 train journey into Monoco station taking about 20 minutes. The roof top terrace is a great place to sun bath and the view is fantastic. A very quiet Three Star Hotel on the main road through Ospedaletti but do not be put off by its appearance. We ate in the Restaurant one night and was served by a lovely English speaking waitress called Olaya. The food was good but if you want a fantastic Italian meal in Ospedaletti you must try the Byblos Resturant right on the Sea front just as you are leaving Ospedaletti in the direction of San Remo.

Beautiful sea view room, large, clean with sitting area on terrace and excellent value. Good service friendly staff and very well run. Would highly recommend.
