Hotel Orvieto - Orvieto Scalo, Orvieto

If you are not looking for smth particular then the hotel is an excellent choice in every sense except of location. It is located far from the town center and you have to use either your car or public transport to get there and back. But for me personally, I'd stay directly in the town center next time. The rest about the hotel is fine, staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is sufficient and public areas are nice.

Nice accomodations. Noting really fancy, however really OK. The people at teh front desk were very nice. Communicate in English quite well. All in all.........good place to stay if you are in the area

The Hotel was NOT the distance mentioned on the website I used. This hotel is near the Auto Strada about 2 km from the train station and funiculare.

Nice little hotel with excellent staff, extremely friendly and forthcoming. The overnight rate includes a 10% rebate for a restaurant nearby with good Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, it is not a place where you would stay for a long holiday in Umbria. The property is squeezed between a road and the motorway, each of which accompanied by a railway line. The one adjacent to the motorway is the highspeed line from Rome to Florence. The noise can be locked out by closing the windows which provide sufficient isolation and the A/C system works perfectly. In a nutshell: a convenient hotel for a short stopover on a long journey or for avid trainspotters. The staff's friendliness compensates most of the drawbacks of the hotel's location.

Hotel is very easy to find as it is exactly off the highway. Employees are extremely helpful and welcoming, especially with young children. Rooms are spacious and spotless. The only downside is that trains pass behind the hotel and they can be heard, but then this is compensated by the good price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay there again given the chance.

This hotel had adequate rooms but the price was far too high for the amenities offered. We were told that the air conditioning would not come on until 5:00 PM even though it was very hot in the rooms. It was finally turned on at that time. Around three in the morning, the air conditioning mysteriously shut off. There had not been a power outage, and it was not an accident, but was rather a hotel policy perhaps in order to save money. We were only able to have it turned on after a somewhat difficult conversation with a hotel porter who was unable to speak any English. In fact, no one in this hotel could speak English, and became very irritated when we tried to communicate. The breakfast was mediocre. When the milk ran out and we asked for more, the proprietor became very irritated at having to take more out of the fridge. The only coffee was from a machine and instant. It was actually very undrinkable. My best advice for anyone considering hotels in Orvietto, is not to book a room for this one.

Personale estremamente gentile e stanze pulitissime e spaziose. Ottimo prezzo. Peccato per la linea ferroviaria molto vicina ha reso impossibile tenere la finestra aperta per via del rumore ad ogni passaggio del treno.

I was there for one night - traveling the surprisingly and marvelous Orvieto ( don't miss!!!). the hotel is a little bit old, but the rooms are ok. the stuff are very nice, although the old man in the night don't understand English. but - he was very nice preparing us a coffee and cookies at 05:30 AM when we got up in order to catch a airplane in Rome. when we reach the hotel, we had a problem to open the door with the key - the lady in the reception called the maintenance person - and he was there after 1 minutes and assist us. i had a car so it was ok using it and go for exploring Orvieto. if not - it is far from the centre, but you can go to the train station ( 1 km - maybe by bus? )and use the funicular - strait to the centre.

Overnighted here driving between home and Rome. It was a good place to pillow down for the night...literally right off the autostrada and very easy to find. Free parking and accepted our dog.

A very good value Hotel but that is exactly what you get. Sandwiched between the rail line and the motorway, this hotel has a lot of noise. The rooms are spartan which is fine at the price. The furniture and fittings are clean and new but very cheap looking. I wouldn't stay here again but if you just want a bed for the night there is really nothing wrong with it.

We stayed in hotel orvieto just one night on our trip to naples and for this it was perfect!The surroundings ar not so beautiful but the emloyees are very nice and helpfull and the nearness to the A1 is ideal!

Situado en un area de carretera en el enlace con la autopista es un hotel sencillo, muy limpio y con un personal muy agradable, que se desvive por ofrecer su ayuda. Decorado con estilo minimalista y funcional es muy adecuado para desplazarse entre otras areas, esta a una hora en autopista de Roma y de ciudades maravillosas de umbria, a 10 minutos de Orvieto.

All in all, a decent hotel for a one night stay, especially if you come by car, being conveniently located near the autostrada A1 exit. Staff was friendly. Room very spacious and clean, but I found the bed small (I'm 180 cm). Breakfast had a poor and limited choice.

We were driving through Italy so this hotel was good for us with the large parking area. We had to drive to the old town which was OK because there was good parking there also. The hotel was excellent but is a bit out of town if you do not have transport and there was a train track in the front and back. Breakfast was good, the staff was very helpful and the large restaurant in the hotel next door which had been recommended by hotel staff was also very good. In the afternoon we sat outside and it was no trouble for the staff to bring drinks and nibbles for us. There was a large group from the beach volleyball team staying there. There was enough room for everyone.

Great place to stay if you're driving by Orvieto. Close to A1 exit, located at the industrial zone. Has free parking! It took us 5-7 minutes to get to the old city (by car) and have dinner. Thanks to the staff that recommended us an amazing restaurant at the old part of the city. The room itself was brand new, really spacious AND for a very dissent price.

Camera spaziosa, bagno nuovo e pulito, colazione abbondante, tv con satellite. Purtroppo i dintorni non sono il massimo (ferrovia dietro l'hotel, strada statale davanti e autostrada a 50 metri) ma può andare bene se scelto solo per passarci la notte. Orvieto è a 5 minuti di macchina, ma l'indirizzo dell'hotel non è facilmete rintracciabile sulla strada. Purtroppo un gruppo di turisti maleducati ci ha rovinato il risveglio con eccessivo rumore. Nell'hotel la nostra cagnolina è stata accolta senza problemi.
