The older gentleman on the front desk was very friendly and helpful. This hotel has a fantastic location in the heart of Orvieto, close to the square, great shops and cafes. No lifts so if you have a heavy bag, be prepared to lug it up stairs.

Quite pricey in comparison to other hotels I know in Orvieto. Bathroom was rather tired and alarmingly had strands of someone else's hair still in the shower. Air-conditioning worked well. I was admonished for staying out late one night; apparently this requires advance notice.

Great location near center of town. When you closed the windows it blocked out all city noise-very quiet.

A well located, clean and comfortable hotel. Walk up towards the centre to have lunch at the excellent Cafe Montanucci on Corso Cavour.

Hotel was far from the public parking garage. Hotel had no bellman or no parking arear to drop off luggage. Hotel did not have elevator. All these items would have been nice after long walk with luggage to get to hotel. Staff did not inform us either of any bus service.

Wonderful to work with & very helpful in directions or ideas of where to go for dinner. We needed to modify our original booking & Miriam/Francesca were wonderful with helping us. The breakfast was very nice & fully stocked for full time of the breakfast service time.

Hotel well situated 10 minutes walk from the Duomo, with car access (we came by train). Our room with mini-balcony overlooked the street - noisy but lots to observe. Very good standard of furnishings and equipment - better than expected. Breakfast was basic. Price was as quoted. I would stay there again for sure.

This hotel is in a lively part of town, so the rooms on the front are not quiet. Other than that it is an excellent location and Orvieto is a perfect base for visiting the wonderful towns of Umbria. Rome is also an easy train trip for a days excursion.

A better description of where to park would have been appreciated prior to arrival. We were told to park in front and they would give us directions. Very narrow street, can't park and parking directions sent us down to the bottom of the hill to a garage. If we'd known ahead of time it would have been much easier.

Very poor breakfast: bad, weak coffee, stale bread, plastic cheese impossible to open. Unhealthy with only marmalade (and the plastic cheese). On arrival the personnel was not prepared - did not know we were coming.

The breakfasts were stale more often than not and the coffee was consistently unbelievably aweful and undrinkable (how can this be in Italy?)NB no lift. the person ? in charge of the dining room failed abysmally but the rest of the staff were charming. the city is stunning but be warned about attempting to drive up to the hotel along one way streets between stone sides only wide enough for a small car and brave driver.Parking near the hotel was excellent.

This was a small, quaint hotel in the old part of Orvietto. We had little trouble finding the hotel. However, the nearest car park is some distance away and it is difficult to stop outside to offload suitcases in the narrow, one-way street. Fortunately, we found a space. The hotel itself is small, clean and quiet, and the room was comfortable. It did however have two drawbacks. Even though we had booked a deluxe room, there was only a very small ensuite with only a shower and no bath. Also the double bed was in fact two single beds pushed together with only the bottom sheet to keep them together. Unfortunately, both beds were on castors and on a polished wooden floor, which meant that they flew apart at the slightest touch. The breakfast room was also small, the service rather poor and the breakfast itself a little disappointing. Overall, this was a quiet and comfortable hotel located in the heart of the city and convenient for all sights and restaurants. It was fine for our one night stay, but the lack of car parking, absence of a bath and the lack of a proper double bed were such that I would not have wanted to stay for much longer.

This hotel is name for the street on which it is located. I was very conveniently located - walking distance to everything there was to see including the main piazza. We were given the option of a room in the back (no view - just rooftops) or a street room. The street was quiet enough. The AC was a welcomed feature in the heat. Overall, a great hotel experience.

Very friendly staff. Large, clean room, with fully functioning heating/cooling system. Excellent location convenient for Duomo, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast buffet a little sparse, but there are so many good restaurants in Orvieto, it's best not to eat too much before lunch.
