This is a lovely little hotel, conveniently placed for the funicular from the station and sightseeing in Orvieto. The reception staff were very helpful and the breakfast room is very pleasant. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The room was not huge, but very comfortable (extra pillows provided - quite unusual in Italian hotels)and well decorated. The bathroom was fine, but more 2 star than three star. The shower enclosure is small - if you're a bit overweight you'd have problems! But plenty of hot, hot water. I'd be happy to return here.

This was a very conveniently located hotel in the heart of Orvieto. We were able to wheel our luggage ourselves from the funicular. The room was lovely, and clean. The continental breakfast was very good as well.

Lovely albergo located in a perfect spot along Orvieto's main street. It was close to the funicular but not too close. It is just a short stroll to Orvieto's stunning Cathedral. My room was a bit small but it was clean, quiet, well appointed, and had a picturesque little balcony overlooking a neighbor's garden. A great breakfast was included with the room rate. I will definitely stay there again.

For some reason, we did not expect such a nice hotel to be located in the center of the ancient part of the city. We rented two rooms and were delighted with both of them. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

When we arrived at the hotel, we didn't find anyone at the reception. We waited about 15 minutes before someone arrived. After that, the staff was welcoming and kind. However, cleaning personnel clearly cleaned our room very quickly, without posing attention to replacing amenities, such as toilet paper. We had to ask for it at the reception. Breakfast is fair but far from being appropriate for the price. There is a free parking in Orvieto at 5 minutes walking distance from all the hotels.

Everything was ok, location very good - close to the cable car that goes down to the train station, yet in the old town already. Nice pub across the street that opens in the evening. The price maybe a bit too high for this hotel though.

This was a really good hotel, an easy walk from the station on the mainstreet leading to center of town. i had a single room which was snall but there was a queen size bed. fine for a single but might be a little tight for a couple. the bathroom was small but had everything. great shower but it was VERY small, lots of hot water, nice typical breakfast. room very tastfully decorated and looked brand new. the rooms were quiet but the dog next door barked. lots of restaurants nearby, a short walk to the center of town. everything very accessible. i'd stay there again and recommend to friends

Good location and easly to get to from the funicular. Rooms are small with not much room to store cases etc. The bathroom was very small, had no window and could be a bit of a sauna, also needs some modernising. Air conditioning just about capable of cooling the room, not sure it would cope with high season temps.

Nice choice in the center of town. Older hotel, but well maintained. Very clean. Elevator. Good breakfast. We were in the front and got a little road noise, but it was quiet during the night. The staff was friendly. Parking is about 3 blocks away, but it is free.

Stayed in Orvieto for 3 lovely days. The hotel staff were very helpful, the coffee was outstanding, they grind their beans every day. The funiculare takes you from the train station to the hotel in less than 10 minutes. Great hotel location. Doug and Alana

Good location. Glad we stayed there. Wife loved the many jets in the shower. I (at 6'2" height) found the shower to be very small. Room was apparently the largest in the hotel (#18) and the one featured in the hotel brochure. Found a "queen" and single bed in the double room. Queen bed ended up being 2 singles, pushed together. Front desk sometimes empty as long as 15 minutes. Was concerned, as some people left their bags there - unattended. Ended up taking our room key ourselves once after waiting 15 minutes.

Hotel Corso was a very pleasant and convenient place to stay in Orvieto. It was easily accessible from the train station, so no car was needed. It was within easy walking distance to the sights of Orvieto, as were most places. The room was well equipped, roomy, and clean. There was a lift for those not liking stairs. The breakfast was good. Overall, excellent and I would return and recommend to anyone.

Staff were friendly and helpful and English adequate. I think we 5 were unusual in that we stayed for 7 days. We loved sitting on the little terrace especially in the early evening. The town is delightful with plenty of good restaurants but don't expect to be able to go to many other towns from Orvieto - there isn't much public transport.

Hotel was near to the funicular, which for anyone not travelling by car, is a bonus. Architecture of the building is typical of the town and though it does not have a restaurant the beakfast was good with a broad selection of food. Location of the hotel is in a quiet area though there was some internal noise from the reception area as guests arrived or left. I enjoyed my stay. Orvieto is a super venue and handy for the train to Rome and other local attractions.

As an over 50 mother travelling with my 21 year old son for a month in Italy accommodation was sometimes tricky but our room at the Hotel Corso (directly above the entrance) was very good - a double bed & a single bed with enough room to move around and a good size bathroom. I had read reviews about the grumpy, rude guy at reception so we fully expected a less than ideal welcome. Not so - everyone at the Corso were courteous and friendly throughout our stay. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a variety of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, cheese, meats, cakes, toast (Italian prepacked) and real coffee - perfect for my son who was suffering from the miserly offerings in other hotels. The location was perfect - a short walk from the funicular and to anywhere in the old town. Orvieto is a beautiful town with amazing views - the wow factor greets you around every corner. Throw away the map and walk around the walls and streets at random - you won't regret it. We were there late October - the autumn colours abound and the weather was perfect for sight seeing and there were very few fellow tourists.

We loved this little hotel. It was clean and nice, great location and very quiet. I would definately stay there again. The only thing I would point out is the quality of service at check in. We came at a very slow time and could have used some assistance in finding open restaurants, maps etc... Wewere not given check out time and other info. (but found it on a sign in the elevator). We also noticed that the price of the hotel (listed by law on the back of the room door)was actually quite a bit cheaper than was listed on Venere. I highly recommend this quaint hotel, they just need to provide more information upon check in.

Very nice room and friendly staff. We arrived by car and given all the one-way streets, could have used better signs indicating the direction to take to the hotel. Our navigator did not have enough information to get us to the hotel and we hadn't checked the web site for directions. However, this was solved by the friendly police who led us to the hotel when we asked them how to get there. The staff provided clear directions to the car park after dropping off our luggage and it was a short walk to the car when we checked out.

The room we got was large and clean. The location was certainly good. We stayed there on november 12 and unfortunately the individual at the front desk was very unhelpful and borderline rude. He was unpleasant at check in, supposedly knew little english, when asked recommended a cafe he must have known was closed, told us breakfast was not available when it should have been and there was plenty of food in plain sight, and then tried to charge us for it at check out when it was included. I would not stay here again knowing he is at the desk but might otherwise.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. Nobody spoke much english. I asked if they had a safe deposit box at the desk. The receptionist said the afternoon woman could help me with that. She didn't speak a word of english and no idea what I was talking about. THe room was definitely the smallest room I had stayed in on the entire trip. The breakfast was fair. They had some cheese wrapped in individual papers. It was so warm that I think it was probably put out the night before. We talked to another guest who was alone and she also complained about the small room she was in. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is a superbe hotel and it is close to the finicular that takes one to the train stations. The owner and her assistants were great and the breakfast more than adequate. No parking near hotel. Used public parking lot where one had to find a certain designated space for overnight parking. Man at reception spoke NO English. He was rude and hostile about any requests such as helping us turn on A/C to giving us clean linens. Other guests we met had the same experience. Overall unkempt rooms, dusty air filters and curtains.

Hotel Corso is a small and very well situated property on the main thoroughfare in Orvieto. We found the rooms small with no comfortable place to sit other than on the bed (which was a kingsize made up of two twins). However, the room was immaculate, the room service very good, and the staff most cordial and helpful. The continental breakfast was included in the bill of 100 Euros per night. It's a great location, quiet neighborhood, and is only a four minute walk to the finicularo that takes you right to the train station. We would stay there again.

My wife and I spent two days in Orvieto and found the Hotel Corso to be just right. The room was quiet, breakfast buffet was good, and welcome was competent and polite. Corso it a very Italian style 3 star hotel. Our room had a nice size bathroom, a tiny patio of our room, and a big patio across the hall. This was a great hotel. It was close to restaurants and the sights. It was also easy to walk to from the furnicular with your bags. The bathroom was a good size and it had shower screen doors instead of a shower curtain. The bed was a very comfortable queen size and the bedroom was spacious compared to other places we stayed at later. The breakfast was good - it didn't just offer cereal and breadrolls. They allowed us to use their internet to check on our email for free whereas at other hotels we had to pay for this service. They had a lift which saved you lugging your bags up flights of stairs which we had to do in a lot of other hotels.

The hotel was very easy to find, a short walk from the funicular, and central to the sights around town. Clean and welcoming hotel conveniently situated in the centre of Orvieto. Rooms on the small side, bathrooms tiny. Air conditioning was definitely struggling (did not really work at all in one room - for which we received a measly 8 euro discount). Also, the airconditioning to all rooms was switched off before checkout time, which left us sweltering as we struggled to pack - very annoying. Photos on website gave the impression of somewhere slightly grander. We thought this hotel was basically OK for one night, but on the pricey side for what we got. We would not have stayed for a longer period.

Coming from the USA, we thought the hotel was located in Assisi because that is how you have it listed. In fact, the hotel was located about 5 km from Assisi and it was necessary for us to travel back and forth to do our touring of Assisi.
