Hotel Escale Océania - Orléans

Location is an easy walk to the old town and parking to the rear is good,OTHERWISE is rundown and common areas are dirty particularly the carpets, broken glass window in the main hotel entrance should have been a clue but arrived too late to find anything else!!

The hotel is a bit of a walk from the interesting parts of town and the photo makes the hotel look more secluded than it is. That said, the room was very clean. There was only one electric socket in the room so it was a choice between TV and computer. The rate I paid through Venere was not vastly different from the rack rate. For what I paid I thought that it was not great value. They charge extra for wireless internet - and I mean a lot extra. Breakfast is 9 euros now, not 8 euros as published here.

Good hotel near the history centrum. Clean and roomy parking.Advisable.

The hotel was well placed and presented well. The only negatives were that the shower sprayed into the bathroom, and the telephone did not work. Otherwise it was ideal for a one-night stop.

It is about 10 minutes walk from the old town. Parking is right at the back of the hotel. However, it charges for wifi. The room was pretty spacious and clean. Staff was helpful.

Simple but clean and comfortable hotel located within walking distance of the city centre.Car park a plus.

We stayed only one night, but we very much enjoyed it. The hotel is beautiful, clean, quiet. Breakfast buffet was adequate at a reasonable price. Parking in the courtyard is comfortable and we would recommend it, though outside parking is possible. The Escale Océania is close to the city center (nice 7 - 10 min walk beside the river Loire).

Paid parking on site. Semi secure since you have to drive past through a gate to get in. Street parking available but I would not recommend it, full all the time. Easy ten minute walk to center of town or you can make the tour of the "to do" sites which start just around the corner. Would suggest back of hotel since the front is at a busy street, but the windows are triple pane and keep the noise down well

Excellent clear instructions for locating hotel-Staff was very lovely and professional-Excellent parking in the enclosed courtyard although we weren't certain as to whether cars were permitted through the archway. We did wonder why it was called Oceania not Riverainia. There was a strange musty odour in the room but we attributed this to the age of the original structure and the lovely service and personnel soon made us forget that part. Breakfast was an ample buffet served in a sunlit room. It was a lovely way to begin our adventure in France and to get our bearings.
