I reserve a king size room. When I got to the property, they have two totally different kind of rooms. A motel type room "standard room" and a nice room "luxury room" pics on the website are totally different from what I was given at the beginning. After screaming at the manager and he screaming at me, I got a room in the other tower without paying (the nice room) be really carefully when booking..... They will charge you extra when you get there for the better room.

UPON MY ARRIVAL,THE FIRST ROOM I CHECKED IN SMELLED LIKE MILLDEW.SOMEONE ELSE WAS GIVEN THE SAME ROOM IN LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES. UPON RETURNING TO THE FRONT DESK I WAS GIVEN A SECOND ROOM OF WHICH I WIIL FORWARD PHOTOS OF TO YOU. WHILE TALKING TO AN EMPLOYEE OF THE HOTEL (OFF THE RECORD) MANAGEMENT IS WELL AWARE OF PRACTICE (OFFERING A SO CALLED UPGRADE FOR A BETTER ROOM STARING AT $30 ON UP. WHILE AT THE FRONT DESK A HEARD NO FEWER TO FOUR COMPLAINTS ABOUT NICE PHOTOS ON THE WEB PAGE BUT HORRIBLE ROOMS IN PERSON. I MAY BE REACHED @ 678 410-6504 (Curtis McDowell)

I did not spend much time in the room, Thank God. Basically, the room was awfully dirty. The carpet was stinckey with lots of spots in various stages! The pictures on the web site are very deceiving as they have renovated and unrenovated rooms. and of course the publish only pix from renovated room which I expected that this will be my room. when I arrived and found the room like what I described above and asked for another room, "you can upgrade for.....$$" I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you get the renovated rooms.

This hotel has 2 types of rooms: the type that I stayed in was like an older style motel with the door facing an exterior walkway. The other type of room that I did not see, but I assumed it was a better room, are in the tower. I'm assuming this since the building I stayed in looked much older than the tower. The room was worth the price for a short business stay. I decided to check my confirmation directly with the hotel 4 days before checking in and found out they did not have any confirmation. I emailed the Venere customer support number and they followed up the next business day and got me a confirmation number. I was impressed with the speedy resolution. I was a bit skeptical at first since the Venere price was much less than the other online pricing services.

Overall, it's a great retreat. There's Starbucks in the Lobby.The family enjoyed the pool and the beautiful grounds. For a resort, however the pillows were horrible. They were flat and uncomfortable. Regular room beds need to be comfortable as well. They need to add a pillowtop matress pad. Also,not enough channel choices for T.V.

When we got there they upgraded us for free to a much bigger suite with 2 queen size beds with the new sleep number mattresses. The bath rooms were clean and the pool was warm. I truely enjoyed myself at this hotel.

From Tampa (The West Coast Of Florida)/Heading East on I-4:
Take the Sand Lake Road exit (74A). At the bottom of the ramp, turn right go to the first light which is International Drive. Turn right onto International Drive and go half a mile (800 metres) down. On your left will be the Mercado Mediterranean Shopping Village, the The Orlando Metropolitan Resort will be on your right.

From the Turnpike/Downtown District/Heading West on I-4:
Take the Sand Lake Road Exit (74A). At the bottom of the ramp, turn left and go under I-4 to the next major intersection (Sand Lake Road & International Drive).
