Hotel Tris - Orbetello

It took us a while to find this hotel and there was no restaurant but it was clean and tidy with good size rooms. Would recommend.

We were running late and when I called, the staff person was very nice and told us not to worry; just arrive when you arrive! Easy access; right off the highway. Close to Orbetello!

Located between highway and railway to Rome, but quite rooms. Nice pool and close to beaches, good stop on the way to/from Rome.

A little isolated and there is no restaurant so if you want to eat you must travel. Breakfast was uninspired. It is a nice quiet family hotel.

This hotel is not within walking distance of anything and is on a main highway. It's quiet and clean though.

Located directly off the busy dual carriagewaywith access only to and from the southbound lane, and only about 100 metres from the main railway line with trains passing throughout the night. Having said that, this is a pleasant hotel with spacious accommodation and a good sized swimming pool. Were it not for the noise form the trains this would have been a very pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and obliging, but finding a nearby restaurant was challenging.

Pleasantly surprised. The owners very friendly and the rooms a good value and clean. Spacious grounds with nice pool area. Definitely need a car. Orbetello a nice quiet area with little tourism but a couple of good restaurants. We enjoyed our one night stay there very much. 1 1/2 hours from Rome Airport.

We we satisfield with service and accomodation. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are fine. Even though it is close to the main road, you do n ot hear the street, but you do hear the railway line which is very close. I can recommend the accomodation for those who travel by car.

The hotel was exactly as described. The rooms were clean and quiet, the breakfast was the best we had in our 10 day stay in Italy, and the proximity to the highway made access from Rome and Florence very easy.

The hotel and property were very neat and clean. There is lots to keep children occupied, like foosball, pingpong and a baby/toddler play area. Although the pool looked nice, we were there a day or two before it opened. There is also a nice exercise room. The family operating the residence were polite and very competent, and despite the language barrier, were extremely accomodating. The breakfast was good, with some home-baked items, too. The apartment we had was nice and although the kitchen area adequate, I'm not certain it would be considered gourmet. On the minus side- We were disappointed with the area in general - the hotel is located on the main highway; it is set well back from the road and we were not aware of road noise. There seemed to be nothing of interest in the near vicinity, including anyplace to eat. We attempted to find a beach which took a great deal of effort, and when we did, we thought it was dirty to the point that we didn't want the children to take their shoes off. The hotel/residence was nice and all that was to be expected from the website, but the area surrounding it left a great deal to be desired.

Nice place to stay except that it is about 7 KM from downtown Orbetello. It sits on an exit just off the expressway. No bus service from the train station and no taxi stand and nobody at the station spoke any english. We finally arranged for a private car to the hotel Tris (4 km = 10 euros). There is no traffic noise at the hotel but there is no easy way to get to town. Taxi service appears to be by "free lance" (no meters) and we were charged 10 -15 Euros to go the 7km to town (each way). That adds significantly to the cost of staying here. If there had been a map of its location on Venere.com, we would have decided to stay in town. Very few taxis in Orbetello so take care not to get stranded after 8pm. Otherwise, everything was really nice. Rooms were clean and breakfast was very good. The staff speaks very little english so practice your Italian.

I think is a great place for Italy, but i believes that many places in spain are better for less price. other side, in my trip it has been a good place.

Buona la localizzazione, anche se per spostarsi è necessario utilizzare l'auto, essendo l'albergo proprio sulla via Aurelia. La posizione comunque permette di raggiungere velocemente sia i resti archeologici (molto bella Vulci) che le città dell'interno o la costa. Il personale è molto disponibile, e la struttura è senza dubbio da consigliare, soprattutto se viaggiate con dei bambini.
