Davvero un ottimo hotel: confortevole, pulito, nel centro storico di Orange, con personale competente, ma soprattutto in grado di rispondere in italiano. Unico neo: colazione e parcheggio non sono inclusi nel prezzo e costano 8 euro ciascuno. E' consigliato anche a giovani coppie in vacanza.

I did not have a good experience in this hotel. Our room was quite smelly (very old carpet) and did not feel clean at all. The sheets were quite worn out... We were supposed to get a double bed and instead hey gave us two singles... oh, my! This is not a good hotel for the money.

This is a well-publicized hotel both on the web and in Orange, France. Unfortunately, the hotel is SUPER dated and needs real attention. Holiday Inn should be ashamed of the status of the hotel. The front desk staff is really nice (even valet parked the car for us). The hotel looked like it hadn't had any work done on it for 40 years. Looks like a cheesy 60s movie hotel. The rooms were clean, but exceptionally dated. The TV was one with a remote that I had at home over 25 years ago. I don't know if there is a better place in town. Orange, France is a really little place. If this place were 2/3 the price, that would be about right. There is no elevator and the rooms are on 3 or 4 floors. If you are older, or have a lot of luggage, this will be a problem. The hallways are no more than 2.5 feet wide. The location of the hotel is superb and the staff is really great -- it just needs a major internal overhaul.

Good location, nice, quiet and clean hotel. The only problem is no elevator. The bellboy helped us carrying our luggages to the 3rd floor when we checked in, and it was a VERY LONG and winding stairway. We ended up carrying our luggages down by ourselves when we checked out.

How to reach Hotel Arene

By car
From the highways A7/A9 exit at Orange centre (exit 21), turn right and proceed towards the centre; at the 3rd roundabout turn left in Cours Aristide Briand. At the end of the Cours, follow on the right hand side and turn immediately right in rue Victor Hugo (one way). Follow straight on until the Place de Langes, where the hotel is located.
