First ever visit - overnight on way from Siena to Calais

For breakfast we had to pay 11,00 euro instead of 9,00 euro per person. The room was very noisy! We did not ask how many rooms were available.

This is a nice place to stay. Quiet, friendly, efficient but... The bar and reception get locked early - 11:15 on the Saturday - which wasn't a problem since we had been at a concert, but on Sunday we went back to the hotel for a quiet drink in the lounge area only to find that it was locked at 9:15pm. Hotels are supposed to provide service - this was lacking here.

Clean, small rooms. I would rate 7/10 overall

We stayed overnight here for a "jet lag recovery" en route from USA (via Frankfort, Germany) to Basel Switzerland, in late March- not many tourists, comfortable temps in this classy medieval village. Had intended to stay here and visit Strasbourg- but getting to Obernai, decided we didn't need to be anywhere else. Hotel has wonderful location in town, just off the city square. Parking garage in hotel would not accomodate a large vehicle, but our Toyota Avensis Stationwagon fit well. Hotel staff was very professional and kind. Most spoke English, but appreciated my attempts at my High School French. A wonderful small creperie is across the street. Several other good restaurants with the local flavor within a few blocks. We enjoyed our stay and would return without hesitation.

Très bel hôtel, merveilleusement bien situé dans une charmante petite ville. Acceuil très symptahique également. Seul bémol, l'église de la place qui sonne tous les 1/4 d'heure, toute la nuit et la chambre n'est pas insonorisée.

This is my second stay at Le Colombier. We love the location and price. The people are always helpful and speak English. I would go back again in the future.

Good hotel right in the center of Obernai. Garage is a little tight for parking, but secure.
