Liked this hotel! A beautiful old building, nice staff, good breakfast, but no in-house restaurant, altho' staff happy to give directions to local ones, which were pretty good & not too expensive. You really need a car, as is some distance north of Pavia, which gives it quiet surroundings & good parking, not often possible in Pavia itself. However you need to follow road out of Pavia in direction marked towards "OPERA" or put actual village name into GPS rather than Pavia in order to find hotel road, which is tucked away in tiny village & will not be recognised as Pavia

Only stayed short time in passing in the area, but found hotel easily, good parking in front of modern building & some in nearby streets. Staff both welcoming & helpful. Arrived late, but a decent dinner was quickly available. On edge of older part of town, not particularly attractive, but not run-down, quiet & could walk into old centre in about 15 mins or so. Nuoro is the centre of an interesting archeological area of Sardegna & this hotel could be useful base for touring around, as has easy road links to other parts of the island
