877-662-6988The Sabotin hotel takes its name from the rocky mountain that rises above the emerald Soca River. We find it between the modern town of Nova Gorica and the millennial town of Solkan, conveniently located on the road to the Posocje region, which is in fact the river basin of the Soca.
The restaurant, which features a garden where guests can eat throughout the year together with several more intimate dining rooms which can accommodate up to 25 people each, offers fish and meat specialities, and is ideal for various celebrations.
Admission to the Perla and Park gaming and entertainment centres in Nova Gorica, including a shuttle bus service, is complimentary to all hotel guests who decide to spend a great night – or day – out.
Nova Gorica and its surrounding regions provide a wide range of possibilities for excursion, trekking and recreation. There is the Karst region, the wine-growing Vipava valley and Brda, and some of the most popular Slovenian tourist attractions: the Postojna caves, the Lipica stud farm and the historic town of Stanjel. A great way to explore this beautiful region is to take advantage of the many sports activities: fishing, kayaking, rafting, canyoning, bungee jumping, parachuting, hang-gliding and paragliding, archery, tennis, speleology, skiing, trekking, biking and much more.

The Sabotin met my expectations. It's clean, quiet - although on a main street - and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have a laptop with us, but there is free internet access in the lobby. Breakfast is good and plentiful, but take your own instant coffee as the hotel's coffee is terrible. There is a lovely garden area for drinks or dinner, but not much else in the hotel. There is a shuttle bus to the casinos in town if anyone likes to gamble.

The three-star, clean-lined Sabotin hotel, an extended, early-20th century mansion, offers comfortably furnished rooms (with shower, toilette, television, telephone and air conditioning), a spacious apartment with a beautiful balcony, and a disabled-persons’ room. There is also a parking lot in front of the hotel, and a garage for bikes and motor bikes.Included/Not Included in the price
