The restaurant and bar, serving a range of drinks, pizzas, pasta and burgers, both provide handy and attractively priced alternatives to eating out. Small conferences of up to 50 people can also be catered for by the hotel. Guests are also welcome to bring their pets along, provided that prior agreement is obtained from the hotel.

The furniture is too big for the room. To get from one side of the room to the other, I had to sidle between the bed and the dressing table. The room is very dark and damp, and could be improved by replacing the Fire Exit door with glass doors. If it is intended as a Fire Exit for the building, it would be useless:it would take far too long for people to reach it. There was no chair in the room.If I wanted to sit and read, I had to sit on the bed, which was comfortable to sleep in, but not to sit on for any length of time. I would have liked to have eaten in the Restaurant, but was put off by the smell of rancid chip fat. It would have been nice to have been offered Coffee and a croissant for breakfast, instead of full English of full continental. If it was, it wasn't made clear in the brochure to which the hotel staff referred me. However, the hotel is convenient for easy access to Nottingham. Advice to future users of the hotel: avoid Room 23!

By carFrom the M1 Motorway: take Junction 25 and then the A52 Derby Road towards the city center. When approaching Canning Circus Junction, take the third turn on the left onto Talbot Street, following the sign for The Nottingham Trent University. From Talbot Street, turn left at the lights in to Clarendon Street, and then left again. This takes you onto Waverley Street. The hotel is on the left-hand side.
