THE FIRST ROOM OFFERED HAD NO HEAT WHATSOEVER AND A STRONG SMELL OF RAW SEWAGE !!!....THE SECOND ROOM HAD CURTAINS FALLEN FROM THEIR TRACK, ONE LAMP NOT WORKING AND ONE LAMPSHADE DETACHED COMPLETELY. THE BATHROOM WAS FILTHY WITH MOULD AROUND THE BATH. GLASSES WERE BROUGHT TO OUR ROOM BY A LADY CARRYING THEM WITH HER FINGERS INSIDE THEM...A NEWSPAPER DELIVERED THAT WAS NOT ORDERED, A JUG OF WATER ON A TRAY THAT WAS NOTHING LESS THAN DISGUSTING....A VERY SPECIAL WEEKEND THOROUGHLY RUINED !!!!

Hotel and staff were fantastic. Only complaint is that we had the top floors rooms and had to phone for a fan in the night as far too hot in room and no air con and could open window much at all. Hotel caters for for needs. We enjoyed it as a young couple on a short romantic retreat. Second time in Norwich. Recommendation for the future - offer more treatments in spa for pregnant women

Food service was very poor. Lunch was awful! Crisps were stale and soft, sandwiches had almost no filling and the wrong sandwich was served. Lunch also took a while to get to us. Nothing on the short A La Carte menu appealed to us so we had the carvery which was lovely. We were not asked if we had finished our meals and though we wanted to relax and chat with our bread rolls etc, the places were cleared so quickly that we did not even have time to say anything. This again happened at breakfast when a waitress assumed one of us was eating alone and it was a fight to stop her clearing the table. Tables being cleared in such a manner certainly does not lean towards a relaxed meal! Room was so hot that we had to ask to change. The lady from the dining area that helped with this couldn't have been better!!! She was amazing! The second room was much better. Décor dated and worn in some areas. Having been born and brought up in Norfolk I couldn't wait to stay at Dunston Hall! I have been there many times and it was always held in the highest esteem by the locals and others that had visited. I remain both perturbed and perplexed as to why a venue so highly thought of would now run to such a shoddy and ill mannered regime. I was left with the feeling of being on a conveyor belt, a number, a nothing. A very disappointing and sad experience that I would not recommend to anyone, nor will I return!

The bathroom needed some refurbishment, however the room was nice.

We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again. I used the excellent pool every day, and this was a welcome bonus. If visiting Norwich, I would recommend the Park & Ride, which is just up the road, very convenient, and very good value. The food was good and the restaurant staff were attentive, but I would make 2 observations: a. Some of the dining tables were too small and seemed to be shoehorned into unsuitable spaces. b. I am not sure that the evening carvery works. It is more like a Sunday lunch carvery in a pub, but at twice the price. Do not let these last comments put you off. If these matters were attended to, the experience would change from very good to wonderful.

The hotel may be set in 150 acres of land but unless you are playing a round of golf you only have access to about 1/2 an acre of it.

Think it stayed in the old part of the hotel hence the price. The room was very poor, I could everything, it remind me of YMCA. I would stay there again

My wife and I have just returned from 4 days at Dunston Hall. It was really rather excellent on a number of counts :- it is abt 1 mile from the Park & Ride into Norwich the buffet breakfasts are wholesome and fresh & the evening carver is great. the staff are all extremely helpful and very courteous - what a refreshing change ?? the rooms are a good size with all needs catered for. it is a great base for city trips or exploring Norfolk as a whole. We would heartily recommend it to all

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would have liked a change of one or two dishes on the daily dinner menu. the net curtains in our room had a hole and stains on !! were also rather creased and the bath and basin taps needed replacing as well as a good de-scale underneath , the tiles also need a de-scale.

Stayed at the De Vere Dunston Hall for one night mid February after visiting Norwich for the day. Found the staff to be very welcoming, friendly, and competent. The room a double was located at the rear of the hotel, and was spotlessly clean and very quite, just perfect. We made use of the swimming pool which was great, and ate at the resturant for dinner and breakfast both of which were very good. Top marks all round.
