Very nice room in this pretty and quiet hotel. A car is needed to travel to Nimes. A little difficult to find. Welcoming staff. Did not sample the breakfasts or any meals or the swimming pool as we were out touring the area. Good value. Would recommend.

We were in the early season there, so no restaurant open. Easy to find, calm and lovely place but no restaurant at the place.

Hotel remote and difficult to find. No restaurant so need to go back into Nimes to eat, which is tricky to navigate in the dark. Room fairly small and let down by silly faults ( no plug in sink ).

A bit hard to find but well worth it. This place is a treasure, a huge converted stable that is part of an old farm holding. Beautiful trees and surroundings and the people were helpful and lovely. Highlight was being sent to a local Nimes restaurant, Le Marche Sur La Table, for a very accomplished meal made from local produce. Rich experience all round.

Nice, clean but kind of small room (more noticeable because we had a lot of luggage). Funny bathroom shower, a big tub but only a small piece of glass as a shower curtain made it almost impossible to take a shower without splashing all over (something somehow common in the south of France). The WC flush button was loose and came apart. It was the only hotel that did not give us a receipt upon check-out. Putting these details apart, a nice alternative off Nimes, but very close to the city by car. We were not able to try the owner's cooking skills (well regarded in previous comments) since he only cooks during the summer. However, we had an outstanding dinner (including the typical cod dish "brandade") and other excellent plates at a restaurant that when we saw it did not expect much: "The Brandade". And the price was just right. We would definetively return to Le Pré Galoffre even if we splash the bathroom every morning. Good value for the money.

A lovely barn conversion conveniently situated near to Nimes airport and the city itself, though it does take some initial finding! Sadly, in March, the swimming pool was not in use yet, and we were unable to try out the restaurant. From Nimes one can get very quickly to the Mediterranean at Grau du Roi, Montpellier or head off up the Rhone Valley. We shall certainly come back.

It ok, but the hotel is much farther away from Nimes than I expecten, even though I checked the routes on the internet. The rooms are ok, but not half as nice as the pictures show. I think you might find something of the same price and quality in the center of Nimes, if you want to. Also, the hotel sourroundings are rather shabby. I'm not speaking of the hotel area itself, but if you just step out of the property it's getting really sad: old houses, shappy bars a lonely street, bits of nature with garbage...

It was almost impossible to locate the hotel as a result of misleading explanation on the web how to locate it. It is said there that after leaving the autoroute A9, you have to turn left on the first roundabout, but you should turn right. Also the other sign given after that roundabout could not be seen.

This is a lovely property and an excellent value. It is located 10-15 minutes outside Nimes, so it is necessary to have a car. I recommend using google maps to get precise directions to the hotel's location, as it is somewhat difficult to locate. The hotel's owner prepares a meal each evening; reservations are limited to five tables. Our meal, served outside near the pool, was the best that we had in two weeks in France. The breakfast each morning (not included in the price) was also excellent. The owners were very gracious and helpful with driving directions and suggestions for a day trip. Overall, I highly recommend the Hotel Le Pre Galoffre--it's a real gem.

Bit too far from Nimes for my liking. Hotel nice enough but no double glazing--kept awake by the wind in the trees all night long. Unfortuately they couldn't take us for dinner as they were booked up-- so book in advance! Very elegant small hotel and staff were very nice. breakfast was the usual continental affair and very nice. More suited to the mature couple I'd say. Little bit isolated.

We found Nimes to be a very pleasant city, with some good restaurants. The majority of the atractions are within easywalking distance of the main pedestrianised town centre. The hotel is some distance the centre and bus transport seems limited.

Unfortunately the restaurant and the bar were closed. The location was great-very quiet and remote. Some more photos on your site would be nice.We expected a room with stone walls but there were only 2 that were completed. Some work is still being done on the other rooms. We would stay there again!

V elegant accommodation a few km to the south of Nimes; quiet in November but will be less so in high season asit adjoins another hotel and sports club and is across the road from a municipal camp site. Nimes is an interesting city to visit ( the less well known jardins de fontaine are a delight, the more famous places well woth visiting) and we can recommend the top floor cafe restaurant in the Carre D'Art where we had good inexpensive food at midday.

My husband and I booked this accommodation based solely on recommendation reviews. What a find!!! Excellent location ( though a bit hard to find initially) with superb al fresco dining beside a great pool area. The food for breakfast was included in the room price and was again superb with homemade preserves and wonderfully fresh croissants each morning. Don't bother finding anywhere else for your evening meal as Christophe is a fantastic chef (not that his wife Audrey wants you to tell him!)who produces a different 3 course set menu each night. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay here and would highly recommend you to make this your base for exploring the area.

The place is really difficult to find! I only managed to find it because i looked up the hotels own website and followed the instructions on that. on your own website, instructions are very confusing... the pool was still being built. a lot of buiding work going on, i am sure it will be lovely when its finished. the staff were really very helpful, i had the best french breakfast ever ( with homemade jam). the architecture is beautiful!

The couple who own and run the hotel give a warm welcome, rooms are spacious and clean, and breakfaxt on the elegant balcony is excellent with home-made jams and fresh morning goods. the postcode on gazeteers unfortunately tends to give the Route de Generac in Nimes, whereas the Pre Galoffre is some 4 km south on the road to Generac from the Nimes ring road- as the owners told us when we had scoured every inch of the computer map's position. We found it easily after a phone call. We are french-speaking but the owner speaks excellent english. We would choode to go there on a return trip- if it hasn't become too well discovered by then!

Professional traveler reports: Superb place, just out of town. No walkable distance from center of Nimes. Need a car or taxi to reach it. Cosy place with ancient character, perfect contemporary decorated rooms, warm welcome by owners, silent rooms. This is real value for money compared to the big modern hotel chains. A delight!

This was a lovely small hotel a few km outside Nimes. slightly difficult to find at first -adjoining another hotel using the same entrance. the owner and his wife were a young couple who had made a fabulous job of renovating a large part of the hotel - this was a lovey building and very well decorated. the owner speaks excellent English and both he and his wife are very friewndly and accommodating. there was no restaurant when we were there - it was likely to open in the high summer for a short period. the breakfast was fine and taken out of doors on the terrace the swimming pool area was fine and suitable for all though it was not deep. the owner recommended a few restaurants in Nimes - we ate at one - the best meal we had on holiday. this is a great place to stay- away from the heat of the town and very comfortable
