Les Aubuns Country Hotel - Caissargues, Nîmes

Very nice couple who took over the hotel just 2 months ago. Near the airport but out where there is nothing within walking distance. They have a great pool and workout room. Also a very nice restaurant overlooking the pool..only ate breakfast there for 9 euros which was pretty decent... free parking at hotel grounds,Hotel is only from Nimes town center by car. Good bones but needs some sparking up....like new carpet in corridors...painted theme is little amateur in the room. No mini bar or indivual AC controls. No uk or us tv stations. Price isy good for what you get.

Excellent stay, unfortunately without having enjoyed the pool that day! Hotel to be recommended.

The pool and surrounding area are really lovely and the food was terrific. The bathroom wasn't good for a hotel in this price-range; the loo was cramped behind the door with a toe-stubbing door stop, and there was mould on the tiles around the bath.

Nell'insieme l'hotel è carino anche se non proprio come descritto nel web. La signora è gentilissima e il posteggio ampio. In camera, però, mancano mobili abbastanza spaziosi in cui riporre vestiti ed oggetti, il bagno è piuttosto spartano ( non vi è il phon come è erroneamente indicato nel web ) e non tutte le stanze godono di aria condizionata. Sono rimasta piuttosto sbalordita dal fatto che per la nostra camera fosse disponibile solo la chiave originale, poiché il duplicato non era stato reso da alcuni ospiti che ci avevano preceduto. Visto che la hall dell'albergo è spesso deserta e si può entrare, uscire e prendere le chiavi senza incontrare nessuno, non è che mi sia sentita tanto sicura nella mia stanza di notte, tanto più che dovevo tenere tutto il denaro con me, visto che l'unica cassaforte disponibile era quella dell' uffcio della direttrice.

Auf der Fahrt nach Spanien haben wir im Hotel Les Aubuns zwischenübernachtet - in diesem schönen Hotel unter der provencalischen Sonne mit dem nach der langen Fahrt erfrischendem Pool hat der Urlaub begonnen!!!

Only spent one night at the hotel before a flight from Nimes airport, which is just a couple of minutes away. The welcome was warm and the room comfortable without being outstanding. We ate well in the restaurant and the service was good. There were few other guests, so the place felt a bit empty but the swimming pool area looked inviting and I am sure it will be busy in the summer months. It's very close to Nimes Campagne golf course and there are a few others not far away, so the hotel would be a good base for golfers, especially if you could negotiate a rate including evening meal. Be aware that it is a few miles out of Nimes city centre and there didn't seem to be a lot going on in Caissargues, nice village though it is, so if you want bars and nightlife, Les Aubuns could be a bit quiet. I'd stay there again, especially if I was departing on an early flight.

The hotel was wonderful!!! -It has spacious rooms decorated with good taste, bright, clean and view to gardens. The restaurant has a high quality menu with reasonable prices. the hotel is near the airport and Nimes centre.the staff are very professional and they are so helpful.I would most definately stay here again.

Hotel is a country retreat, hard to find but well worth it. The swimming pool is divine.

The new owners could not have been more helpful - they even lent us their sat nav when ours failed. There was no restaurant as the couple had only just taken over but they booked us into a nearby bistro and provided us with drinks when we got back.It's remote and you need a car but would book again.

We were expecting to be able to get an evening meal at the hotel but the restaurant was closed in the evening - it was a bank holiday so perhaps the staff were also entitled to a break! I left my mobile phone behind and the staff have been extremely courteous and helpful in returning it to me. We were very impressed with the hotel and will certainly use it again when travelling to Nimes. It was certainly very convenient for the airport - a five minute drive away.

Easy acces, quiet, friendly welcome. Nice and spacious rooms. Very good quality/price.

I was asked by the new owner to tell you that the price I was given on-line was not the up-to-date price. In the past, reservations taken by Venere had been passed on to the hotel not only by e-mail but also by fax. Because my reservation had only been confirmed by e-mail, the new owner did not have a record of the reservation. Fortunately there was a room available. The hotel is is in need of refurbishment and has seen better times. The bathroom had been re-painted, but the shower still needs refurbishing. I am not sure if this is still part of the Best Western chaine, but if it is, then it is not a good advert for their normal standard.

The hotel was good value for money, made extra special by the friendliness and attentiveness of the manager who went beyond the call of duty and nothing was too much trouble. If I am in this area again I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel

The hotel was nice and it's just outside the city limits so it's quiet.

An absolute gem -this hotel is ideal as it is so near the airport and Nimes centre.the staff are very professional and they are so helpful.our family room was newly decorated and so bright and clean.we would most definately stay here again.

Bel hôtel avec un très bon accueil. La piscine et les alentours sont très reposants et la déco très sympa, apart peut etre dans les chambres où il manquerait encore kk tableaux ;-)Mais le hall et les salons sont très beaux et ont un certain cachet.

The Hotel appears to have changed hands and was in the process of renovation. Our main complaint was that the restaurant was not available at weekends (when it was advertised as so) and the swimming pool was empty.
