Map location is wrong-hotel is on south side not north side of street. Bin collection at 1am on 20 and 22 September was APPALLINGLY NOISY. Hotel aware of problem; Nice town hall needs to take remedial measures to severely curtail the noise. Will discourage me returning unless room at rear is guaranteed. Recommend Le Bistro des Viviers, 22 Rue Alphonse Karr. Stay was personal, lived in nearby flat for two summers 50+ years ago and was also doing a Tour de France en TGV. J'aime beaucoup les trains francais, leur vitesse et leur arrive a temps. Vive La France

first time in Nice and found it realy nice esp the old town, lots of eating houses,but not on the cheap side, set menus are the best value approx 21euros each plus wine) .would go again probably for a couple of days not a week.the hotel was not the best,small rooms that need some tlc but tidy enough but for the money i suppose okay.next time we will try a more exspesive one

Hotel is quiet compared to the Promenades which is only about a 15-minute walk away. There was parking in the front which is the main reason we chose this hotel. A must in Nice as far as I am concerned. It was harder to find than expected because of construction in Nice.

By car
From Paris, Lyon, Marseilles via Highway A8: exit at Nice-Centre (exit no.50) and proceed on Boulevard Georges Pompidou (road N202), then Promenade Edouard Corniglion-Molinier (road N98) following road signs to Nice Promenade des Anglais Cagnes-sur-Mer Sophia-Antipolis Cap. Proceed on Promenade des Anglais for about 3 km/1.8 miles, then take Boulevard Gambetta, Avenue Thiers, Avenue Jean Médecin and Avenue Georges Clemenceau.
From Italy via Highway A8: exit at Nice Quartier Nord and follow road signs to Nice Centre Promenade des Anglais.

By airplane
Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport is a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Taxis and car rental service are available at the airport. A shuttle service (bus line 99) runs from the airport to Nice central station, which is just 500 meters from the hotel.
