Access to beach was great! The room was clean, ammenities were fine, and the motorized window shields provided security and ventilation. The reception staff were courteous and spoke English. Minor issue--Little Palace requires the room key when guests are "out and about". Which maybe an issue if your partner does not want to join you for early morning jogging...and is still asleep upon your return.

A good location for seeing Nice, but not good if you have a car. It was very difficult to unload our luggage. We had to double-park while the cars behind us stacked up and honked. While there is secure parking a block away, it's very difficult to fit a midsize car into any of the stalls. The room was OK but rather noisy at night, and the staff was helpful but not particularly friendly compared with the other places we stayed.

It was okay for the price we paid but not worth their full price. I appreciated free wifi, the cleanliness and the quietness of the room. The room wasn't planned out well for 2, and would be impossible with a large suitcase. Tv didn't work and no safe in the room. The towels were either old or over starched, linens the same but their pillows were good. It's okay just to sllep a few nights in, but they need to put some money back into the rooms to make them more comfortable. If you stay here bring your own shampoo ladies, theirs is not to par. Staff were quite nice :) breakfast nearby on the way to the pedestrian walk was Amazing! ( Canadians in Europe)

we had a 4-beds room in okt. Nice little lowprice hotel. Good location. We didn´t eat breakfast at the hotel. There are lots of different places you can eat near the hotel. The dobblebed in our room was as one madras. That is not so good, when you are sleeping 2 persons in it. You can feel it everytime the other person it mooving. NB! If you are allergic to perfume, it is not a hotel for you.Yhey use fress-air with perfume after cleaning. It won´t go away. I used 4 days (with the window open)to get rit of it, but the perfume was still there, when we left. Otherwice it is good value for money.

This is place where you stay when all the others are booked and you can't afford to stay at the nice ones. The staff are a mixed bag; some pleasant, others just rude. The rooms are ugly and if you have a courtyard facing room, your view will be of laundry lines and roof tops. The directions given are next to useless and, at best, vague so be sure to get an address before you go. As others have said, the location is not the best if you want to go to the beach, however, it's not that bad if you like walking. If you are that person who circles the parking lot looking for the closest parking spot, this place will not be for you. The free wifi requires a code that you get from the front desk and it's per-device. It's a cumbersome and dates system, but it works, albeit glacially. The hall and rooms wreak of a horrible cleaning agent and we were perplexed at why the a/c was on full blast every time we came back. We figured out later that the drone of the fan actually silences all of the other noises that bang, slam, clank and groan all night long (no idea what else is going on in there). And you can't turn down the a/c, it's either freeze or sweat. The bathroom had no external venting. There was one plug to, say, charge your phone, or camera battery. Overall, this place lacks any and all charm. There are many annoyances that add up to an unpleasant experience.

Well above its 2 stars! It fully deserves its name. We had a huge room, it was clean, with air conditioning, electric shutters, tv, big bathroom blablabla... the only missing thing was a frigobar. Short walk from the beach. Close to car parks (not free, but at night you could park on the street). Wonderful. Thanks!

The Little Palace Hotel was in an excellent position for everything you want to do in Nice, very close to the main train station and also in close proximity to good reasonably priced restaurants, and the beach. The only things we would liked to of seen was some tea and coffee making facilities, and maybe a 2nd pillow. We found the bed to be otherwise very comfortable and had a very good nights sleep. They also let us leave our bags there after checking out as we had a late flight. We would certainly stay there again without hesitation.

This is a pleasant, quite well situated hotel (roughly equidistant from the rail station and the city centre) which offers basic amenities at the sort of price one associates with an expensive city. This hotel was chosen at the last minute. It is located in a safe neighborhood close to the beach but the decor was definitely outdated 1980s. My room smelled of mildew and cigarrettes and the room had absolutely no view. It was very affordable so I suppose one gets what one pays for. I would definitely not stay there again and I would only recommend it as a last resort.

My wife and I stayed a week at the Little Palace. It was a great little hotel. It is a quick walk to the Promenade and to the main "restaurant strip". It is a quick and easy walk from the main rail station. We had quite a large room... not sure if this is representative of all the rooms at the hotel or beacuse we got lucky as we were staying 7 nights... The hosts were welcoming when we arrived. We went up to our room at freshen up and found that the flexible hose in the shower needed replacement. We let the hosts know, but it did not get fixed until the next day. The breakfasts were really good. lots of choice. The host didnt understand that I wanted cold milk for cereal however (we stayed at some other hotels in France and Italy and came across the same problem). Guests are required to hand in the key every time you leave the hotel. There is a little supermarket a few doors down from the hotel. It is easier to buy bottled water there rather than at the hotel's vending machine. likewise there is a laundry close by if you are staying at the hotel. overall good value for money, nice hosts and within easy walking distance of most things.

Perfectly satisfactory little hotel. About a 10 minute walk from the train station and about 8 minutes to the beach and shopping areas. Staff were competent and nice. They did have an issue with the credit card number I used to hold the room that I thought they could have handled a little better, but all worked out in the end. Room was pleasant, about the size I expected, and relatively quiet. Only weird thing was that the towels were as rough as sandpaper--as if they'd been air dryed instead of in a dryer. Not a big deal but surprising. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was in a great location, close to ocean and walking district. It was very hot in July when we arrived, but our room was thankfully nice and cool when we walked in. Air conditioning is fully functional. Very clean and updated bathroom. We reserved a room for 4 people in order to ensure we got two double beds. I was traveling with my sister. Hotel has an elevator, which seems to be a bit unusual for low priced hotels in this area. WiFi is free and worked well in our room, you need to ask for a pw and code when you check in to log on. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a low cost, but very comfortable hotel in Nice. They offered a breakfast at the hotel for an extra 8 Euros, but we opted to walk down the street to an outdoor cafe for breakfast.

The hotel is in a good central position, whilst not being on one of the busiest streets. It is in easy reach from both the train station and for buses to all over the Cote d'Azur. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and there is a good selection of brochures for attractions in the reception to help you enjoy your visit. Breakfasts offer an excellent choice, albeit for a continental style breakfast. It can really set you up for the day. The map showing the location of the hotel versus the train station is poorly done. It is, in fact, reasonably close, but the curvature of the narrow streets made it hard to find. Once there, you are in a great location. Two terrific restaurants are close. Luc Salsedo is a bit pricy but outstanding. A less costly place, Davia, provides cuisine nicoise that is also quite good. As I am a light sleeper the overall raiting gets drawn down by the fact that the walls are as thin as paper. Next door neighbours baby cried loud and long every singel night and it was like having the baby in our room. Also traffic from street bothered me trying to sleep. Except from that the hotel was great. Clean, nice rooms, spacious bathroom with new towels everyday, friendly staff and excellent location for a reasonable price! Just rememeber to bring earplugs!

I stayed in this hotel from 13/4/11 to 17/4/11. Although I did my reservations for a single room, nevertheless I got a room with a double bed and a single one. It was a very nice room (approx. 4x5m) with a tall window with balcony, a small hall (1.40mx1.40m) and a beautiful bathroom (2.70mx2.70m) with red-orange tiles from floor to ceiling with loo, bidet, bathtub, washbasin and hair dryer. Very comfortable, very clean and everything working well. Good mattresses with white cotton sheets. Good absorbent white cotton towels. A good breakfast: a selection of bread, croissants, fruits, muesli, cornflakes, cheeses, yoghurt, jam, butter and tea or coffee. The hotel personnel were very helpful. This is an ideal place to stay in Nice for a reasonable price. It is half-way between the station and the sea front so it's really easy to get around, and the staff are very efficient and speak good English. The room could be a bit noisy due to the busy street outside. As with many French hotels, breakfast is not included and needs to be paid for separately; also be aware that they want the whole stay paid for as you check in. I would definitely stay there again.

I chose to stay at The Little Palace hotel based on the location, price & reviews from previous guests. The Hotel was perfect for our 4 night break in Nice. Excellent location to train station, beach, shops & restaurants. The room was spacious enough with a modern bathroom. Was cleaned daily with all the toiletries replaced. The towels unfortunately were extremely rough to touch & the temperature of the room was very hot at night. I have no other complaints. The staff were very helpful, spoke good English and were of great assistance to my Mother who had medication that needed to be refrigerated and accessed each day. Good value and all three of the staff we met were friendly. Beds comfy. Room smallish, but as French 2 star hotels go I couldn't fault it. Shower gel soap and towels supplied - towels were a little bit rough. Only English TV channel was CNN. Didnt have a car but parking would be a problem. There is a small supermarket next door. They didn't change the sheets which were dirty untill next day when I asked for it. One lady on the reception desk was rude, but guys were friendly. Everything else was OK.

Hotel is close to and wihin easy walking distance from the main train station. Room price was fair for facilities provided. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as this was not included in the price - we found that most hotels in Europe had breakfast included.

Very nice and spacious room with great location. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers. Regarding the front desk staffs, some speak good English while other don't speak at all.

This was our fourth stay at Little Palace. It is spotlessly clean and very quiet. We stayed 'room only' because we prefer to breakfast at the various street cafes. The location is perfect for access to all of Nice. We will stay again.

We only spent one night here, but enjoyed it very much. Some other comments said it was overpriced, but it's hard to find a bargain in Nice. The friendly lady at the front desk recommended a restaurant "Barracuda" within walking distance and we had a spectacular dinner there. The hotel is an intense 20 minute walk from the train station, but I would consider staying there again. Breakfast is not included.

Very helpful staff willing to assist, when needed. Very helpful with taxi to airport. Would have been most helpful to have exact location of key lock for lights explained on arrival. Was in a very unusual spot. Wo thinks of looking above their head? Enjoyed our stay immensely and location was great.

Good position, good price and good quality. Breakfast is pretty exspensive, you would better go to cafès in the surroundings of the hotel (you will pay half of the price you pay in the hotel). It is pretty much easy to find parking in front of the hotel, so do not use hotel's parking which is very expensive.

Good location 10 mins from station and 5 from sea front on a fairly quiet street. Room nothing special but ok for the price, and clean. Everything worked. Good for a short stay (we stayed one night) but probably not good enough for a long stay. Staff friendly and helpful.

This was our first visit to Nice and we only stayed on night. However everything about the Hotel was excellent and if ever we return to Nice we would definitely want to stay there again. I fully recommend it to other travellers.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location excellent. Would have liked a kettle & fridge in room. Bathroom v.g but shower needs to be able to be used standing up with a holder on wall. We stayed 6 nights in Nice and 5 of these at Little Palace.

Safe area, good location - near the station and the beach - a bit far from the old city on foot, polite staff, clean, without noise. we have been there in July and wasn't noisy at all. Very good value for money. If we can' t find one like this nearer to the old city, we 'll go there again next time. Perfect place to visit, best city to stay in the area.

Very clean and in a strategic position with respect to the city center and the sea. Perfect for tourists, and recommended for families (me and my wife were there with our 3 kids).

We came as a family of four (with two teens). It was a little small for four but totally adequate for our needs. Beds and showers were good. Air conditioner was sufficient. We were there only one night; left early in the mornings. We didn't pay the extra 8 euros per person for the breakfast so I can't comment on that. The Hotel is very close to the train stations (3-5 min walk). The hotel is also fairly close to the beach area (5-6 min walk). I choose it for easy access to an extremely early train we had scheduled the next morning.

I like this hotel very much. I stayed in single room. The size of the room is acceptable, french balcony where is possible to dry a towel after sea. The cleannes of the room is ideal. Thanks to the location I have learned more about Nica not only Promenade and main shoppng streets. It is my 2d visit. I recomend this hotel. For 2 stars in France it looks luxioriosly. I can't say anything about breakfast. I didn't take it.
