Hotel Le Negresco - Nice

The place to stay in Nice, just awesome!

The Negresco is "The Negresco" and most intending to stay here should know what to expect. Room prices were reasonable, but be prepared for the prices in their restaurants. (You know you're in for a large bill in French restaurants when there are no prices shown on the women's menu!). Only fault we could find with the whole stay was the location of the air-con unit in the bedroom. It was sited next to the bed about 1m above floor level. Everything else was to the highest standard.

The rooms are very old. Too expensive.

Bit of an old world hotel. Great location. Maybe better value in the area but overall an enjoyable stay. A must..hire a car and drive up and down the coast.

The location was perfect. Staying in the hotel is like being inside a museum. The staff was helpful and courteous. We had some internet access challenges but the staff kept working on the problem until it was fixed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends traveling to the area.

This was an extremely dissapointing stay. My first room was directly over the nightclub and the singer was singing well into the morning and very loud. The second room I had was quiet at night but from 9 in the morning and all day there were jackhammers and hammering above me. The help was barely friendly and I thought for a price like this the accomodations, sevice and quality were extremely poor. i would NEVER recommmend this hotel to anyone. You would do yourself a favor by not representing it. The price was outrageous! The hotel was terrible.

If you're spending a few days in Nice it may not be worth it to shell out between 4 and 600 Euro's a night. However if you only have one night in Nice be sure to treat yourself to this hotel. Although it is extremely pricey, the feel and the location of the hotel make it worth it. The service is top notch and the property is amazing, you may find yourself wandering the halls admiring art on more then one occassion. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay, beautiful room & view, and great service.

One of the finest hotel my wife and I have stayed. From the moment we arrived, until our departure, we felt like "royality!" The management and staff were outstanding during our entire stay. They were extremely polite, helpful and no need was to great/small. The artwork in the lobby area, and hallways was fantastic. One felt as if they were touring the Louvre. A wonderful plus to staying at the hotel. We also had dinner at the Carousel Restaurant, which was excellent. It happened to be our anniversary, and the management surprised us when checking in by upgrading us to a suite. what a wonderful way to start our stay, which only added to our overall experience. We will certainly recommend the Negresco to our friends, and make arrangements to stay again when in Nice.
