It is OK for a very short holiday and if you are young. The bathroom had a broken shower and a broken mirror. Very small room on the 4 th floor without elevator. The standard was very low. I would not recommend it. The best thing with the hotel is the location in the middle of Nice and rather close to the sea.

Room was small but adequate, great location on the pedestrian street with all the bars and restaurants seen from the window. Close to transport, beach, and shops. Friendly and helpful staff. Beds not made each day but Bathroom cleaned and fresh towels put out each day. Tea Bags Kettle but no spoons. Would stay again.

The biggest plus for the Hotel is a perfect location, as it’s in the center of Nice and a lot of places that you might want to visit are in a walking distance, also it’s just 15 minutes walking to the train station and it helps to travel around the South of France. Cleanliness of room is really poor, but you can close your eyes on it if you have to stay just for a few days, also price and quality are absolutely fare, at least room was quite, had a small balcony and there was an internet access in the room, so you do not have to sit in the lobby to check your e-mails or do something else. In general I was satisfied with what I’ve got for what I have paid.

I had a wonderful time at Felix. It was so charming and was in such a great location. Well lit at night and busy during the day. The woman and man that worked at the hotel were both very nice. One night I stayed up and chatted with the man that was working for 2 hours. It was a very pleasant stay, unbeatable price, and I am planning to return to Nice to stay at Hotel Felix!

It is very sad that a hotel that is so small and situated directly in the center of Nice, is in so bad shape. It was dirty, toiletseat broken and they didn´t fix it when we asked. The beds were terrible and the room should be for 4 people, but it was very, very small. Bad service and a staff without angement and will to service. The hotel need to be restored and the staff should be changed.

My girlfriend and myself stayed here 2 times. The first time, 2 years ago, was a wonderful holiday in a comfortable room (a small room at the 3rd floor without elevator but globally confortable and overlooking the pedestrian street). This time the room was overlooking the interior, too much small, with cobwebs and quite dirty walls. The bathroom was very small and after the shower the steam filled it completely making impossible to use the mirror. The hotel's position is great but some rooms are uncomfortable. When I'll return in Nice I'll book again in this hotel but asking a room overlooking the pedestrian street and not too small.

We needed a room for 1 night in Nice before heading out to Provence. We just wanted a basic room which is what we got from Hotel Felix. The location is convenient on Rue Massena. The room was cramped and smelled slightly of sewage. The breakfast was fine and the innkeepers were very nice. Overall, certainly not great but OK for one night.

A good basic 2-star hotel in a great location. It's right in the centre, minutes from the sea, close to an airport bus stop and a tram stop, and surrounded by a variety of restaurants. The room was small, but it had every thing we needed, including air-conditioning and a kettle. The staff were extremely helpful. Ideal for a short stay, or if you're going to be out most of the time. One drawback - there's no lift.

There was 4 of us staying in the room so it was cramped. I think 2 persons would be ideal. loved where it was located as the beach is 5 mins walk and the street where its on is a beehive of activity. I recommend it if its for 2 persons.

travellers need to be realistic about what they are paying for! this hotel is wonderful for a cheap, friendly, helpful place to enjoy Nice from. it is a typical family hotel providing only the most basics but in an efficient economical way.the hotel staff were only too willing to help out in any way.be warned there is no lift. it is a hefty climb. the street is full of noisy cafes of the pizza variety but include a top of the range bread and cake shop directly beneath the hotel providing excellent breakfasts.good fruit and veg places are round the corner with a wine shop and groceries. the tram and bus systems are only a stones throw away. a wonderful public swimming beach is just down the road. what more could you want. rooms for 4 people may be cramped but what are you paying? all these complaints in the websites i found worrying.now i have been to the Felix i have discovered they must just be bad tempered tourists.go and have a wonderful cheap holiday.

We were updated to an apartment with the same money of a double room. It's awesome!!! The apartment has a living room, a bedroom, a small kitchken and a lovely bathroom. All the rooms are clean, tidy and in a very good location which is in the busiest street of Nice. Good restaurants are just downstairs everywhere. That's why it will be a little noisy in the evening. But it's not a big deal to me. I like Felix a lot. Besides, we were treated by the boss for cups of Cappuccino.

We came to Felix for a second time, staying at the hotel also last summer. A little disappointed about the room we got the first night (dark, against the backyard looking into a big concrete wall half a meter from the window). However, the very friendly staff and owner kindly found a very nice new room for us, street-view with balcony, as we had last year. We really do recommend this hotel, perfect in the center of Nice.

The hotel receptionist was totally useless. They did not prepare a quad room according to our booking. The 4 sharing room ends up with 2 person sleeping on the sofa bed. That is not bad enough, the worst part being that 2 pillows were missing, the sofa bed was totally unprepared. The useless receptionist did not even know the location of the toilet roll when we asked for it. The night watch is the worst nightmare in Felix. We were not given the code, the scolded us. When we asked for pillows & help with the sofa bed, we get another scolding. Totally rude and zero value for money. The only useful person is the chamber maid. Felix does not fit in service line.

The hotel is in a great location, but the hotel is run down. I was on the top floor on a very noisy street. Fortunately, the fan worked to drown out some of the evening noise. The bedding was worn to shreds, the light bulbs were out, the shower head did not attach to the wall, and there was no phone service to the front desk. I cancelled my next stay immediately upon arrival.

We stayed in Room 6, which was facing the airconditioning compressors so we had to keep the windows closed. However, the location of the hotel is fantastic, smack in the middle of the shopping district and just a couple of blocks from the sea. Tons of restaurants to eat at right outside the hotel, but we decided to have our meals in the old quarter of Nice, which was just a ten-minute walk away. Food there is more authentic if you know where to go. If you're carrying heavy luggage, there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow so you have to plan ahead. As for the internet, wifi is free; otherwise, the usage of the computer in the lounge is rather expensive. We would come back again because the location is ideal.

Excellent; I read others comments and I don't understand people who want: large bedroom, elevator, absolute perfection in all details together with the super kind staff we found in Felix and the low price for such a perfect location.... ! Some people are out of touch with reality I think. This is an hotel with a really elegant and original décor, nice staff, quiet little rooms (little but OK for 2 singles), a few little things that may need attention but in overall excellent condition, clean, freeWifi if you bring your computer (1 euros/15 min if you use the hotel computer). We were allowed to eat our take-away dinner in the breakfast room and help ourself in dishes in the hotel kitchen. I am not sure you get this type of kind attention in expensive exclusive hotels ! We travelled in a small group of 7 women from Germany and all of us will come back with family..

The location of the hotel couldnt be better...our balcony overlooked one of the main streets with restaurants and shops galore right at our fingers. The owner of the hotel, an older gentleman (who is "on" after 4pm every day), is absolutely lovely and was very helpful and friendly. My husband and I had a very nice 5 days stay. We would choose the Hotel Felix again. We wanted a typical little french hotel. We enjoyed the view from our room (3rd floor) over the nice and lively walking street. We especially asked for a room facing the street. There are soundproof windows but if you want them open then its very loud. The room is done up, nice colours, new windows, new nice bathroom, very comfortable bed, but strangely enough there are some little faults like wires hanging out of a plug und a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom. For us it was ok walking up the stairs (there is no lift). The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect! All in walking distance. Wonderful boulangerie downstairs, outdoor restaurants and cafés all around. Beaches around the corner. We hope to come back soon! We love Nice!

I stayed in Felix hotel for 10 days in mid August. Hotel staff was friendly. Room was clean, clean towels provided daily. AC and WiFi worked as announced on web site. Water heater provided, instant coffee and tea as well. Location is really good. Hotel is located in the centre in the area with restorans and cafes, few minutes’ walk from the main square, tram, beach, bus station, shops. I had a room with a view on a back garden, but was quite noisy due to AC systems. Room was not spacious, but was OK for a single use. There is no elevator and staircase is quite narrow. I cannot comment on food as I did not had breakfast in the hotel, however, dining room looked pleasant. Overall, good value for money. I would stay there again.

Room 4: The bedroom curtains and shower curtain were absolutely filthy & the shower curtain was slowly falling apart, not adequate in keeping water from spilling out of the shower tray. The hotel is basic but perfectly adequate for a few nights stay. I was a single traveller and had booked for a single room. In fact the room was double and the space was fine for me. It may be a bit cramped with two people. There was a perfectly adequate wardrobe but no drawers. The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes walk from the seafront and right on a pedestrian street with shops and cafes. There are 2 supermarkets just around the corner. The room had tea and coffee making facilities. I was at the back of the hotel and it was nice and quiet; the only sound being cats fighting in the alley below and heavy-footed people walking up the stairs and the shutting of doors. There is free Wi-Fi, although it didn't seem to be functioning on two occasions. There was one person on reception each day and each one was helpful and friendly. Overall, a basic hotel in an excellent location and good value for money.

The room was not clean at all, we found nails on the floor, which we suppose that belong to the last guest... There was big humidity stains on the ceiling close to the window. The bed was really uncomfortable, the mattres was deformed and pillows where hidden underlinen, we guess that way they save to use linen coverage for them.By the way, if you ask for the card of the parking, you better give it back to the reception in the very moment you leave the parking, if you don't do so you are going to be charged for one more day of using the parking.

The hotel was very small but cosy, and my room was nicely decorated. I especially liked the small balcony with typically french shutters, which also kept some of the cold november air out at night. Having a water boiler in my room was a good thing, as was the friendlieness of the staff. The disadvantages of this hotel was that you could hear every sound from the neighbour rooms and the hallway, which together with the rather uncomfortable bed made it a bit difficult to get a good night's sleep. But I guess you can´t expect a high building standard at this low price, especially not when the hotel is perfectly situated - in a pedestrian area in the central part of town, not far from the beach!

We've stayed in twin room nr 9 with balcony from the street side. There were two disadvantages of this room. The smell was terrible. We had plastic sliding door to our bathroom which was a source of specific sewerage smell. I've heard that it is normal in many Nice apartments. We had to slightly open the balcony door each night and we heard what's happening on the street. It was a quite loud place, but we could sleep. The owner and his staff was very very helpful and always smiling. Tle location of hostel was perfect, few steps to the center and many transport places. I would recommend this place to everyone, specially young people. P.S. Walls are very very thin and we heard everyting what the neighboor couple said.

Anything we needed we received. Not knowing the French language, besides a few words or phrases, the staff were so helpful and understanding they made us feel more like friends than visitors,(thank you Jean Pierre). Fabulous location!! Right on a pedestrian-only street, really close to major sites, surrounded by restaurants and shopping. Ludicrously tiny sink, but there was an actual bathtub in our bathroom instead of just a shower, and lots of room to put toiletries. Be warned there's no elevator, and very tiny stairs. To say there is a "garden" is an overstatement, but we drank a bottle of wine every evening on the teeny patio nevertheless. Not the Ritz but fine for the price.

Convenient location - 5 minute walk to the beach. TV's did not work. Room was ok, not fancy at all. Pictures on the web looked much better than actual.

Hotel Felix was in a great location - close to the beach and in the heart of entertainment (restaurants, brasserie etc.). The service was at extreme polar opposites where the gentleman who was present from 4pm-8am was exceptionally helpful, kind, cheerful and friendly. Unfortunately, the woman who was present from 8am-4pm was extremely unpleasant, unhelpful and even yelled at us almost every day of our visit - even going so far as to accuse us of discriminating against her just because she was a woman (upon inquiry about whether she could turn on the wireless internet for the hotel). Otherwise, it was a comfortable stay.

Very run down. Hallways very grungy, mattress blocked narrow landing Electrics poor, hairdreyer didn't work, nor lights beside bed. Fridge didn't work properly and plug came out of wall when attempting to unplug fridge to plug in mobile. Only one powerpoint in room. Cold tap fell off.

The rating is so high because we were offered a studio instead of a hotel room (we stayed one night in) due to our longer stay (7 nights). The staff was anyways unexpectedly excellent!!!

The location of the hotel is very convenient, there are a lot of resturants and shops around the hotel. The traffic is also convenient.

It's a cheap hotel in a great location. We used it for a one night stay during a men only weekend trip, for which it was ideal, but I would hesitate to recommend it to couples or to those seeking a touch of luxury. The stairs are steep too.

Very nice hotel staff. The location is the best. Literally what ever is needed is out the front door of the hotel. Across the street from La Pizza.

Great location, close proximity to the beach, still a little walk though. Balcony was a plus, lots of activity on the street to observe. Plenty of shops and restaurants just downstairs on the same street.

Nice is expensive but for location - this hotel is fantastic. We had a room near the back rather than on the street that was lovely and quiet. Very friendly staff. Quite narrow and steep stairs. Small rooms, but that's the style. Bathroom was nice, the shower was broken but it was fixed immediately. They also have apartments 3 streets away from the hotel, which would have been better if they had a few rugs and pictures in the place - we stayed one night but they feel a bit sterile, so we asked to be moved back to the hotel. Overall a good little place.

Alberg modesto adatto a a una clientela giovane. I dintorni dell'hotel sono ottimali, al centro di una isola pedonale al centro di Nizza.

The staff is nice & friendly. But the room needs to be looked into especially in the bathroom water flow out. And the tap is a loose. When the flask do not work, they change it immediately. But those things can be overlooked and we moved around it.

The rooms are very small but the service is good, the air conditionning isn't noisy, when the window is closed you do not hear any noice from the street. Another great advantage, the bus stop to go to the airport is really close (walking distance)

We travelled with two kids aged 5 and 8. The location of the hotel was perfect because situated in the pedestrian area of Nice. For breakfast there is a wonderful bakery left when leaving the hotel and for a quick lunch a sandwich store on the right hand. 5 minutes to the beach is also perfect with kids. The room was quite clean and we had enough room to move around. We loved staying in the city centre and had no problem with the rumor late at night and early in the morning.

PESSIMO!!!!! ALCUNE LENZUOLA ERANO MACCHIATE. E SI ERANO DIMETICATI DI METTERCI GI ASCIUGAMIANI. ALLA FINE VOLEVANO PURE ADDEBITARCI UNA COLAZIONE MAI FATTA!!!!

Nice little hotel in the center of Nice :)I got excellent service and a friendly welcoming. The rooms were not very big but as I travelled alone I wouldn't have needed more space. There was a little balcony in my room, TV that worked and a watercooker. The bathroom was clean and I liked much the atmosphere in the hotel. The location was perfect.

All the staff were most helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely. We were in the back of the hotel so we did not have any street noise. It was especially helpful that the hotel had an interenet connection available for use so that we could contact our family. They even offer laundry service!! We loved the street, rue Messena, with all the pedestrians, restaurants and small shops. It was a lovely area. We felt quite safe and most welcome. The breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious too. One must be in good shape, however, because there is not an elevator and the hotel is 4 stories!! we are looking forward to returning some day. The price was ok in felix, and the staff or owner very nice and really very helpful. We enjoyed having a chat with them during breakfast, and felt very welcomed and like at home. Still, even for only 50 Euro per night for a double room, I would expect a CLEAN room. Hairs in the bathroom and even in the towels, a dusty floor and a stinking pillow made our night one of those nights, where you are happy when the alarm rings. many things in this room would need to be fixed - even the toilet.

The hotel was nice, pretty and at a perfect location. The room was very small, but cosy. There was a little noise from the walking street in front of the hotel, but with earplugs we all slept great. Very friendly staff.
