This hotel is in the center of Nice, 5 minutes from the old town. Is a simple hotel, but the staff is very kindly, and the position of the hotel is exellent. I recomend it with good heart.

The room, as double for single use was short of storage- no drawers, all clothes had to be left on open shelves, which also has the mini-bar and safe. There was a bar next door at street level which was very noisy until 3a.m. except for Mondays. I tried wearing earplugs but to no avail. A room to the back mught have been completely different.

The hotel is in an excellent location - an easy walk to the beachfront, restaurants and casino, and you can easily walk to the train station or the airport bus stop. The staff speak English more than adequately, and are very helpful - they helped me locate a laundromat, internet cafe and even a gym (all of which are within easy walking distance too!).

Although it states the room has air conditioning it was only a fan which did not keep you cool in the weather at all, so overall it was hot and stuffy. But.... overall the location is brilliant if your going to shop, to laze on the beach, out for drinks or even to the casino, very central.

Matresses very thin. No paintings/pictures on the walls.Grotty appearance of room. Walking distance from beach and old Nice.Need a taxi from the station(with luggage).Only stayed one night. Keep in mind Nice is a big and busy city.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the train station by cab. The rooms were not very clean but we did luck out and get the only one with a balcony that wrapped around the corner of the hotel onto one of the main streets. Otherwise, the rooms we saw seemed dark and closed in. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, we would consider other places unless you could happen to luck out with the balcony. A/C in the hotel is hard to come by.

This hotel was in a great location - about the only thing that made us stay. It's close to the Place Massena as well as the train station. However, our room was horribly hot - and when I asked about anything (AC or fan) they offered us nothing. So, in the middle of summer we sweated all day and night long. That is our major complaint!

The hotel staff were very friendly and we could not fault them at all. However we asked for a double bed and we got 2 single beds. There was air conditioning in the room which was a plus. The rooms were very small however and not much room for suitcases etc.The bathrooms were fine, quite modern and very clean.

Single rooms and bathrooms in very poor condition and without air conditioned. Location in very noisy area. The worst hotel I ever found in Europe.

This is NOT a 3-star hotel! The air conditioner is nothing but an old fan, with no cooling whatsoever. The sink almost fell off the wall. The shower water was merely dripping, and you had to shower for half an hour to get wet all over. They probably also got a star for the minibar, which was empty. (Not a biggie but...) The reception desk staff were very friendly and nice.

I don't think I'll ever come to "De Kent" again, it was extremely filthy with dirty bed clothes, hair everywhere and the bathroom was disastrous. Don't know how they managed to obtain 3 stars, it should be downgraded to 2 stars or less... on the other hand, the desk personal was very polite and professional and the hotel is placed in a very god (central) neighborhood. "La Fayete" hotel, just across the street was much better.

We had a great time in Nice at hotel De Kent. Service was excellent, people were more than willing to help us out with getting around. They even stored our luggage on our last day after the check out because our train wasn't untill mid afternoon. However, the room I received was very loud and it was difficult to fall asleep. It was also ridiculously hot and there was no airconditioning. As much as I was satisfied with service and location, I would probably pick a hotel with air conditioning next time regarding hot weather in Nice during summer.

Actually I booked a double room with separate beds. When I arrived, I received a double room. The bed was to small for two people and the room very small. The next morning I requested a new room. It was actually now problem and I received a room with 3 beds (a double bed which was larger than the first one and a separate one). I would recommend to be careful when ordering a double room where you want to have seperate beds. Anyway, for Nice the hotel has a good price/ quality ratio and is relatively clean. I would stay there again.

staff friendly and helpful. Location near old town, flower market, old port, seafront, action. Could walk to station for journeys along coast. Walls between rooms bit thin but we were lucky with quiet neighbours. Near bus route to/from airport 4Euros each each way.

The location of hotel was great. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel was a little tired looking & could do with a face lift. However the price & location were more important to us than than plush surroundings.

Because I was staying only one night I was given a minuscule room with a lot of noise coming from the street, very succint room facilities, the bathroom was so small I couldn't got to the toilet without some gymnastics and a larger person than myself would have had to be standing... Overall, I was very unhappy with the room which cost 77 Euros without breakfast.

The hotel is fine, but it is not worth the price, even in Nice. There are nicer hotels for the same price in the same neighborhood.

The room was in a fair condition, but the bathing room was not clean and in a very bad condition.
