I had booked the least expensive rooms available (115 E per night), and although small and lacked great views, they were very nice and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the services were good. We parked our car in a hotel lot 1 block away and were given unlimited in and out access, although we didn't use it. Unless one were driving to Cap Ferat or another location, its much better to walk or talk the bus. The location was sensational. The beach is across the street. Old Nice starts a block away. Place Massena is 3 blocks away. Everything is at your fingertips. It was a great value and I would definitely stay there again. Perhaps springing for a more expensive room with a view. A fabulous restaurant, La Petit Maison, is just down the street. I would recommend it highly.

Beautiful hotel and lovely area with a 2 minute walk to the beach. Private beach very expensive at 18 euros per person but public beach uncomfortable due to pebbles!! Staff lovely and spoke English to us which was helpful. Couple - romantic break - perfect First time we stayed here but would go back for a special occasion (due to price)

One of the few hotels situated in the old town (which I heartedly recommend) - it's excellently situated for the beach, general meandering and the evening. The hotel has it's own private beach, but there seems to be a disconnect between the hotel and the beach staff to the extent that they're practically run as separate businesses. It's not possible to put charges from the beach on the room, and the hotel staff did not advise us that a reservation should be made for a sunbed. Also, whereas I believe hotel guests previously received a preferential rate for the sunbeds, this no longer seems to be the case. The rooms are nice and quiet, but these small things seemed to remove some of the attractions of staying at the hotel. I couldn't help thinking that the service didn't justify the cost. At the end of the day, I would use the private beach for drinks at sunset, but use the public beach for any sunbathing and swimming - the stones are a very cheap hot stone therapy if nothing else.

good hotel in best area of nice, good design and nice beach, superb jazz on sunday night ,nice staff through out hotel . only complaint was no access to beau rivage beach on bastille day . they had a special meal on but were fully booked so non residents were given preference over guests [not good policy]there was plenty of room to allow guests to have a drink but even this was not allowed

We have stayed at the BR before and loved it - exellent location in the old town and a nice comfortable hotel with access to a beach bar. The only thing that spoiled our stay was that the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. This wasn't a problem in itself, but it was the way that the reception stafff managed the incident and various events afterwards which disappointed us. We know that the French have their own manner of service and in fact often find this refreshing, but the one guy on reception was positively surely. Not sure that this would stop me visiting again - it's just one of those one off type things.

Bathroom was set up very oddly. After shower there was water covering the entire floor....not a real good design. Room was tiny and there was a hole in the comforter. Didn't get the feeling that quality was really a priority here... felt almost like it was a really nice hostel... Awesome location, cool lobby and bar and cool name. Not much more.

We booked a delux room and although clean and nicely laid out, I would have expected a little more... it wasn't quite "wow" factor but the hotel service and location soon made up for that... We had a totally amazing time in Nice... the hotel is in a perfect location and very central to everything and all within 5 mins walk. We will definitely stay at the Beau Rivage and maybe next time book to stay in the suite.

Even though I knew the price before setting off on holiday, the room was very over priced. The quietness of the room was good if the window was closed, but with the window closed, it was quite hot (no air conditioning in room in November...). Other than those items, I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very courteous and friendly.
