Not impressed, i know it is cheap, but there is no reason to be dirty, one of the blankets on the beds had black marks on it, the bath on the sides had red stains(like blood), some of the plugs were hanging off the walls and the shower had a metal bit hanging down the wall, i don't know the purpose of it. Also i asked to be woken up at 5am as i was leaving and the receptionist forgot, if i hadn't woken up myself i would have missed my train. Finally what kind of a place sells food but not water? For the quality of it, it should be cheaper.

Friendly staff. They'll watch your bags for you if you arrive before check-in time, but watch the 1,50€ per bag charge. Also, there's no shuttle to the hotel, just a bus to the train station. Hotel is clean and comfortable but in a noisy neighborhood. This is particularly trying given the lack of AC in most rooms. Good for a one-night stay.

Late night arrival (0100 AM) checking out at 0930 AM - only a place to sleep. Gladly the bed was comfortable and tiles in bathroom were clean. The shower tray filled within 4 minutes of use. I would not recommend for anyone on a budget or just to put your head. Young couples looking to travel through Nice might use it for two nights for sleeping only - does not lend itself towards a room for relaxing in or to enjoy a lie-in! Overall, 57EUR was 20EUR overpriced! Great location for railway station.

It is obvious that the management of this property just gave up. The level of wear on the rooms is so severe that any attempt to keep surfaces clean are in vain. If you only need a bed to sleep for the night (one _single_ night that is), I guess that the price is OK. Just be aware that the rooms are very hot during the summer, and there is no ventilation. This apparently made management greedy, so you can RENT a fan for 5 euro pr. day - putting down a security deposit of 25. Amazing...

Incredible! They make pay if you leave your baggage for two hours after you check out the room. And then, receptionists are ill-prepared and ill-mannered.

The window in the room did not fully close - which allowed all the noises from the street in the night. When checking out, I asked for a taxi to be called, the reception guy called some strange car with apparantely his friend as a driver, who charged 30 EUR for 10 min drive - much higher than the notmal taxi would do...

The room was dirty, with mould in the bathroom. There was no top sheet in the bed, just a bad quality duvet. Very expensive for what it is!!

My worst hotel experience in Europe, rooms were not well maintained, bathroom not clean. I was initially given a very small room and only after persistance was transferred to more acceptable room size. TV did not work, Room was not serviced at all.

This hotel is situated 5 mins from the main railway station in a very busy area where life starts around 5.30am and can be quite noisy (refuse wagons, traffic etc). It offers clean accommodation but check to see if breakfast is included. There are many outlets close by for food and drink. It will take 20mins to walk to old Nice where the majority of tourist sites are and a little longer to reach the fine beaches. Anyone travelling to Nice at this time should be aware that there are major developments taking place whilst a suburban tram network is installed. There are major disruptions to the road system and squares which will continue for some considerable time. March 2007

Do not stay in this area. This is the only place I stayed in Europe where I didn't feel safe. Location was terrible. Multicultural fights all night long is not my idea of a holiday. They did have a deal for beach spots but don't believe what the front desk says - you do have to pay extra when you get there.

We had booked 2 triple rooms for 2 nights, one night in the beginning of our 9 day stay, and one night at the end of our stay. When we arrived at the hotel, they did not have a room for us. After a while, they managed to get us 3 double rooms at another hotel (15 minute walk - the hotel said 5!) to a higher price. We got no excuse from the hotel for the mistake made by them (I had the confirmed reservation with me) and we had to pay the whole price for the other hotel ourselves (the hotel should have covered the amount between theis price and the new hotels' price). The second reservation was ok, so we spent the last night of our stay there. We had to rent a fan because there was no aircondition (the fan should be included in the roomprice!!) We paid 8 Euro's extra for breakfast - which was a joke. The hotel had one person alone taking care of the reception AND the breakfast, so she was running her legs of. We didn't get anything to drink with the breakfast until we were done eating, other people had to go around looking for knives and forks, plates and cups themselves (on tables not cleaned yet). Because they had miscalculated how many people would show up for breakfast, the lady in the reception had to run out and buy more baguettes. In total it was a shabby hotel, with lousy management. The girl working there tried her best with what she had.

Hotel was clean and the welcome given was fine. The reviews outlining much noise are correct, what or who was banging about at 6am I don't know. Price quoted and charged also seemed to vary upwards. The (very good) breakfast is not included. On the plus side it is very close to the rail station and the main streets. Has Possibly the smallest lift of any hotel in the western world.

I have bad memories from our trip to nice, and it happened because of hotel Comfort Hotel Azur Riviera. Despite being not far from the train station….treatment with client doesn’t exist. I was with my mother and sister in a small tour by Europe. This was the last hotel night, we needed to profit time. When my family was setting all at the room, I asked for a night tour in Monaco. The owner was there, and instantly offers me a tourist package from other agency. Running on time, he asked me to leaved and advance and called him from the room to confirm. I expressed many times that it was not definitely. After consulting with my family, they were so tired, so I tried to called, WRONG, interphone broken, going down stairs WRONG from third floor the elevator was blocked, and WRONG with the owner, who disappears, and made his young assistant to say us lies, and telling us that the other agency could not give back the money. So, stolen in our faces, at the hotel, and without answers, not even a sorry from the owner who acted so SMART and TRICKY. Poor hygiene conditions, front road under construction. A really BAD BAD BAD experience!!!! BEWARE

The Hotel is in the very centre of Nice, very close to important shops, and it's good. Hotel is clean, romms are good. They will ask you to pay at your arrive, not when you leave. Absolutely no private parking, but parking (payement) not too far. Good anyway.

It was fine. Only stopped one night there as our plane arrived in Nice quite late. Walking distance from the train station and cheap, which was all we wanted.

Strongly NOT recommended! for this web price, you can find much better hotels nearby. The hotel is too much oriented for squeezing every cent out of their customer. Room very hot, no air conditioning, extremely noisy, everything costs your money, the fan, breakfast, safe.NOT Go!

Very central place to train and bus stations. This was very convenient for our frequent trips along the Cote d'Azure. The hotel was clean and very comfortable, value for money. The only negative is it is on a busy street with lot of traffic passing and lots of noisy travellers! I would stay there again but would ask for a room away from the street.

This hotel is in a great location, just two blocks from Nice's main train station. If you just need a place to sleep at night while you explore the French Riviera, this is the place. The rooms are tiny, towels are few and far between, and the shower is only big enough for a small twelve year old. Also, the entire staff is not multi-lingual, and we had a hard time communicating with several of them. They also make you pay when you arrive, which is contrary to what Venere.com says you will have to do. They made us pay for our entire stay the day we checked in.
