It is a nice hotel with gracious hosts. We are a group of 4 sisters. Our room on the 3rd floor with two separate sleeping areas were adequate and airy. Sara and Claude were exceptionally helpful with their direction and advice to Monte Carlo and what to see in Nice. We had a lot of suitcases which Claude helped to load onto the taxi without being asked. We liked the colour scheme and thought the hotel had a cosy and warm feel about it as we walked in even though it was not a big reception area. Will stay there again if we revisit Nice.

Wonderful location - both in terms of closeness to restaurants, beach, shopping, and the fact that our room had a small balcony that overlooked a green park. Very pleasantly surprised about what we got for the price we payed. Big plus for the fridge in the room, that comes in very handy in the summer! A little dusty in the little creases of the bathroom, but no major offence. I would have wished for a door or curtain in the bathroom, because the water completely covered the floor after a shower. Other than that we were very happy with our stay and would definetely recommend this hotel to other visitors.

Our room, #404, was filthy with peeling paint, dirty walls, etc. The rug was stained and the walls were full of marks. We were very disappointed for a 3 star hotel to be in this condition. I took pictures of the room and would be happy to share them with you. The hall and stair carpet also needs to be replaced. The staff were very friendly, nice and helpful. We did not share our disapointment with them as we assumed they are just paid staff. During the night, from 11-12pm, we heard constant door knocking in the hallways and possibly coming from the floor below. As guests would have keys, we can only suspect what type of person would be calling during the night. We did call down to the front desk during the night and complain. This hotel needs to be taken off the 3 star list and your recommendation.

Hotel staff were very friendly. Check in no earlier than 2pm, but they did store our bags. Room was basic to say the least, we had one chair for a double room and a table with three legs!!. Bed was firm but comfortable and the sheets were clean. The bathroom was also clean, toiletries were sparse. Two small tablets of soap and two sachets of bath/shower gel. No cup for teeth cleaning. Good job I always bring my own stuff. We asked for an extra pillow and was given one. Storage cupboards were dirty and I did clean them before putting my things in. Safe was locked open and the key could not be found. One door of the storage area had a broken handle and was difficult to open. One light over the bed was not working and we could not get the air con to work. Carpets were stained but did not smell, usual wear and tear. Room overlooked the park and was nice to stand on balcony. There was traffic noise up to 11 o'clock but it did go quiet so you could sleep. Hotel was near to the train station and 10 mins walk to street Jean Medecin where there were places to eat. Overall ok for short stay but not worthy of three star rating. UK rating would only be 2 star. Also Aria need to check rooms after each stay to ensure all facilities are in good working order. There is a lift but it is very cramped. I am petite, myself plus a suitcase is really all that could get in at any one time. Please bear this in mind if you are not very mobile.

Could be very nice hotel but in need of much better maintenance and staff competence. I arrived about 10pm, man at desk did not smile and was not welcoming. He plonked key on desk, gave brief instructions how to get to elevator, that was it. He was more interested in talking on his mobile. Room 402 was basically ok, but severely in need of better preparation and maintenance. Bathroom sink was blocked and remained so for my 2-day stay. Toilet paper holder was broken so roll was on top of toilet cistern. Bath faucet button missing, could not change water direction from shower / bath, tissue holder on wall fell off when tissue was pulled, there was no soap on my arrival, just sachets of shampoo/bodywash. The bedroom door handle had broken and been repaired with a couple of pieces of mettle bolted together to form handle! Table light and fridge had not been plugged in - fridge contained nothing, did not even bottled water. Having unpacked, could not connect to wi-fi, went downstairs and found reception man talking on phone outside on street - he gave me password (which he should have given when I arrived) - wi-fi worked well. Entered reception about 10am next day for breakfast and asked woman at desk if I could simply go to breakfast room and serve myself, her response was "le petit déjeuner n'est pas inclus." Breakfast buffet was sparse, no ham or cold meat, no cooked eggs, no fruit - maybe because I was late. Next day I breakfasted at other hotel, twice the price, 10 times the choice. Generally, it seems the Aria hotel could be very nice but has seen better days. Management should learn how to manage!

Very convenient location, half-way between train station and seashore. Street is quiet at night, but there is more traffic and activity during the day; get a higher floor if you want quiet. Hotel does not accept check-in until after 14:00, be prepared. Maids seem to be distracted sometimes: no toothbrush glasses were left the first day, they forgot to leave a bath mat another day. Double room had an actual double mattress (not twin beds pushed together), a plus! Bathroom had a bath tub, a shower head, but no shower curtain, I guess they like mopping floors. Overall, good clean place for the money, nothing special. Breakfast is 10 Euros, many cheaper alternatives nearby.

I stayed two nights in Nice. The hotel is about 250 metres from the train station, but the station taxi stand did not want to have me as a client, since the hotel was so close. About 250 metres from the splendid shopping centre and mall so easy to get to. Nice seems to be a very safe city.

Very nice, spacious and clean room. The surrounding areas are quiet and clean with a small park in front of the premise. Location is ideal--300m from the train station, a 10 min walk to the beach and 15 min walk to the centre of town. The air-con in the room is an invaluable feaure to have in the summer. The shower doesn't have curtains so the water spills all over the bathroom. It's an area really noisy, very difficult to sleep. The air conditioning was not working and the room was very hot. The carpet is old and looks very dirty (I was not brave enough to walk bearfoot on the room). There is mold on the walls and floor of the bathroom. The breakfast really below expectations, fruit old and not clean. The service is ok. A lady very kind at the reception.

One of the clerks was extremely rude to my wife, telling her she should not be on the internet, when we had been clearly told the computer was there for our use. Also, both stairs and room floor were often dirty, and not cleaned regularly. Our room, while it faced a park, also was directly above a noisy street.

Great hotel in a great location. We had a triple room for 3 ladies which was a good size - it was a double and a single bed. We asked if they could change us to a room with 3 beds (just for our own comfort) and instead they changed us to a twin room and a single room for the same price. The staff were great throughout the stay and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere within walking distance of everything but is quiet at night.

Unfortunately I cannot give this hotel a great review. Check in was uneventful and easy but when we arrived in the room, it was pretty much a 2 star place. We had a triple room, very spacious queen and twin. Amenities were minimal as was decor. The bathroom had black mold on the grout around the tiny sink vanity and in the tub. There was a shower attachment but no curtain so the room got all wet. The ceiling was peeling in huge pieces. On our last night, at 3 a.m. a steady gush of water poured into our bathroom from the room above, through our unworking overheard sink light. We called the front desk 3 times, my husband dressed and went to find someone, no one was around. With towels all around, It finally became a trickle. No knob on our bath door, reported and no change. Parking across the street in garage is $36/night, but they were able to find us a spot on the street for our last 2 nights for $18, that was nice. Fairly good breakfast buffet was include with our rate

All in all a nice hotel. Location is excellent. Five minutes to bus/train/tram station. So you have a very short way to start trips to towns near Nizza (Monaco, Cannes, Menton). In a ten-minutes-walk you are in the centre of nizza. Breakfast was good. It was a little buffet but enough for a good start into the day. Some staff at the reception could speak english and even german. Some staff only french. But next to the train station ( five minutes away) there was a tourist office. So there was no problem to ask whats the best way to go where you want to go. The rooms were ok. A little bit more space for the clothes would be good. For the normal price (84 € / night) I think the hotel is a little bit to simple. I could use a special offer (60 € / night included breakfast). For this it was good and I would recommend it.

The hotel Aria at Nice is a quiet nice hotel in a typical french style. It is located between the railway mainstation Gare Thiers(5-10Minutes by feet) and the Promenade (10-15Minutes to walk). The room and the bathroom were clean and the windows bright, lighted and soundproofed. Unfortunately you can hear every sound from the adjoining rooms but it seems to depend on the wall. Breakfast is in a continental style, small but ok. You will find Coffee, Tea, milk, two types of juice, bread, bread rolls, croissants, ham, eggs, cheese, butter, jam, honey, "Nutella", apples and three types of cereals. At the end during check-out the receptionist was very surprised of the cheap price we had to pay. The relationship between price and quality is very above standard - so 10 points!

There is an air conditioner in the room. Breakfast is so expensive. I did not try. POSITIVES: Location. 10-15 mn walk to beach and 5 mn to central Train station. It is good to go Monaca and cannes ;) but i should say if you want to go beach everyday you can find hotels more closer to the beach.

We had a triple room at the Aria overlooking a lovely park. The front desk personnel were very helpful and they provided our daughter with an ice pack for a swollen ankle. We found a great Mexican food restaurant a few blocks away called the Poco Loco (it was a little pricey, but very good!) We loved the beach in Nice! The beach has rounded rocks that say "clack-clack-clack" as the waves go out. Also, we enjoyed the park at the old fort on the cliff on the east side. Beatiful views of the beach, lovely waterfall, lots of walking/running trails, and the flowers were gorgeous.

Upon my arrival, I was told that the only room available for the price I have reserved is on the ground floor next to the old elevator that kept being banged very late into the night and early in the morning. It was practically impossible to get a sound sleep before 2am or after 6am.

Nice hotel, very well located, within an easy reach to the main shopping area and the old town. We had a triple room: it was very spaciuos and clean though needed some renovation. But it's a good value for money. I can advice you this hotel. The only thing is that nearest parking (in front of the hotel) charges 25 euros per day.

It was very nice we really liked it. The hotel is located about 5 mins from railway station and about 5-7 mins from the sea and the main street. Once I've found some hair and I think it belonged to the cleaner, but generally it was clear. I would reccomend it. Enjoy your hols :)

Very unprofessional and rude staff. Woman on reception was all time busy talking by personal issues by phone and didn't take any attentions to hotel guests, when was asking for smth still hadn't finished talking and was looking that doing a big favor to do your job. Other men on next day was apathetic to everything. Never seen so bad service!

Although I had no expectations as an experienced European traveler from the US, it seems to me the hotel could afford to include breakfast into the cost of the room for this 3 star hotel that costed 100 euro ($160) per night. Otherwise, the location and the comfort of the room exceeded my expectations.

1st floor double room overlooking the square for 7 nights. everything in the room worked fine. air con. , t/v (english, german, italian & french channels), bathroom facilities. room very spacious for 2 people . hotel located 150m from train station so very convenient location. supermarket on opposite side of square open at 8.00am - 7.30pm weekdays, also weekends, very handy for getting supplies for day trips by train. we did not have hotel breakfast as a bit pricey at €13.00 per person. we stayed here also in 2005 and the room rate was virtually the same. we would definitely stay at the hotel aria if ever we are in nice again.

The location of the hotel is opposite a square giving a nice open aspect.Easy walk down Ave.Auber opposite the main rail station /airport bus stop(No.99 /4 Euros). Buffet good but a bit pricey! I was unhappy with one thing only and that was being charged 5 Euros per piece for leaving luggage for collection later in day on day of departure.

According to the internet description of the location of his hotel, it didn't work out that way. It said it was about 100m from the train station, which we had come in on, but the directions should say from the back of the train station. The numbers on the buildings on the street are confusing and when we stopped at one business to find out why we couldn't find the hotel, that person was not helpful.

Good standard; clean and quiet. Close to the train station, and just about at the edge of nicer neighbourhood. Easy access to all parts of Nice. We were there for five nights and could have stayed much longer. Staff pleasant but not too helpful re local bus service or restaurants.

This hotel was fine, a nice location between the train station and the beach. The walk to the beach is about 15 minutes at an amble, which is good for the price. The breakfast, which was included in our deal, was great!

Credetemi.

The hotel is excellently located near the train station and a 10 minute walk from the beach. The rooms are very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. I was in a room at the back of the hotel which was a little noisy - There is a garage & car repair shop located just behind the hotel. Overall price vs quality I would highly recommend this hotel and would definately return.

My wife and I use Your hotel because it is so nice s to stay there. It is quiet, not so big ,in the neighbour to the station and to the shopping area and the sea. The breakfast is what we like to eat in the morning. And gthe occasion for us to stay in Nice i is that we use to bicyckle in Provence. And we see no reason to change hotel in Nice. So we will be back next year. Thank You so much for taking care.
