When checking in we received a room with a back yard view. Upon request for changing to a street viewed room we received a much more smaller room wich was not covenient at all. But otherwise the staff was very friendly and professional. Also the location of the hotel is excellent, right in the middle of the city.

Our visit was for two nights. The first night we were given a very, very small room for the three of us with barely room to move and no air conditioning. The second night we were moved to "our room" which met our expectations and value for money. When questioned about the tiny room we were given the first night costing the same as the much more spacious one, the reception became less friendly stating he was not the manager and the manager was not available. I would stay again but would insist on a larger room.

Excellent location, in walking distance of all the main attractions. Across the road from a huge shopping center. The staff are extreamly friendly. The rooms are only OK, but very clean. We upgraded to a jr suite for an extra €20 per night and if that was the size of the suite I would have hated to see a standard room! Although small, it had a balcony which was lovely. The doors on the rooms are a bit on the thin side so you can hear a lot of doors closing from early in the morning. They offer free wifi which was great. The bar area is a lovely spot for a pre dinner drink or somewhere to relax after a hard day sightseeing. There is a lovely restaurant next door for lunch and dinner. All in all, excellent value for money and I would definately recommend it.

There is a public carpark entrance in front of the hotel, but if it is your first time, you may exit from the wrong exit and walk a big round with your luggage. It was tiring.

We had a great visit except that the aircon did not work throughout our stay which made it unbearable. Hotel location is great...with combination of local ambiance and proximity to attractions...

Advice to travellers - if you want to walk from the station - and it IS walkable (10+ mins) don't follow the website directions - turn left as you exit the train station and head for Avenue Jean Medicin. It's a much more straightforward walk than via Ave Durant. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite which was spacious and very comfortable. Overlooking the street I was a little anxious about noise but as it's pedestrianised we weren't disturbed at all. Only comment on the website was that I could only book a "double/twin" - this is quite an important distinction and it's unhelpful to present like this - I had to make an extra phone call but Venere staff were very helpful and contacted the hotel to make it clear it had to be twin.

I came to Nice on holiday with a friend and would definitely recommend this hotel. It has a great location, being close to both the old town and the train station and is just off the main shopping street Jean Medecin. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I would come back to this hotel again.

Great staff. Some rooms are very very small - but it's OK if you don't care. We asked to change room and it was no problem. We got the junior suite on 5th floor with terrace, very nice. The doors are very thin so anything happening in the common areas can be heard.

The location was good...close to the old town and beach. The office staff wasn't too helpful when it came to booking another night at the hotel. We asked one employee if we could book another night, and we were told that there was only (a more expensive) suite available. He failed to mention that the next day was a national holiday, and that it might be a good idea just to take it. Later that day we asked another employee if any rooms had freed up. By that time there was nothing, and suite was no longer available. It wasn't until later that day that she informed us of the holiday. We had to scramble to find another hotel (very difficult at that time), and ended up paying a lot more elsewhere.

Got an upgraded room without paying more, on the top floor with a large balcony. The room itself was quite small, and the bathroom tiny, but having a large balcony kind of made up for it. Located on a quiet pedestrian street just a stone's throw away from the main shopping street and the Nice Etoile shopping center, the hotel has a great location. Parking in the Nice Etoile underground parking was easy and fairly inexpensive at 12 Euros per night. Very nice hotel, would come back if I could get one of the top floor rooms with balcony next time.

First time at this hotel (found via your website), second time in Nice, stayed three nights. The hotel was quiet, perfectly located for everything of interest, good value and with friendly and helpful staff. I returned with a friend several days later for one night, and our stay was just as good. I will be back with no hesitation....

I got a superior room for the price of a standard one so the rrom I was in was very spacious and clean. The position is very good, right in fornt of a big mall and close to the promenade and the closed-areas. Very good stay

It was a nice room(508), clean & quiet. It had also a small balcony. My problem was the space; wasn`t enough..! The Hotel was well located to a central spot and easy to find(With a map). The personel was friendly. They speack enough english, regarding ofcourse only the necessary things.. Wasn`t bad... I could go again, but this time asking a little bigger room. The City was beautifull. It worth`s to go on the Chateau & corso Saleya for dinner. I Went for a weekend. I think it was enough to see the basics. although i could stay more if i wanted to do vacation. it remind me a little bit of Greece... But Greece is much much better! Nice has a nice sea. If the weather was a little bit better i would have take a nice swim.

Staff very nice here; this is a lvely economical place to stay. Our roomm was very small like you could barely walk around the bed. Only stayed two nights we look at a room as a place to sleep and shower. A longer stay would of been claustrophobic. Still we recommend as a inexpensive nice clean place to sleep.

The relationship between price/quality was good because we did not pay much for the room. The room was simple but clean and a good bed to sleep on. Just good enough for us since we were all day out. Breakfast is a little poor for a 3-star hotel and not worth the €9,50 per person. The products like marmelade, applecompote are not tasty. Coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate from a machine. The hotel is located very central, near the railwaystation and in the centre of Nice.

The hotel is well situated just off Ave. Jean Medecin - about a 10-15 minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais. The staff are courteous and friendly. The restaurant next door is fine for dinner and also serves a breakfast of coffee/tea + croissants/bread for (I think) E5.

La stanza era un po' stretta e non aveva un'impressione di accurata pulizia. gli asciugamani erano pochi e piccoli. La connessione internet wi-fi è disponibile solo a piani bassi ed è a pagamento. Per il resto l'albergo è accogliente.

What a pleasant stay we had at Grand Hotel le Florence! We had a very spacious triple room with a big bathroom - closed shower and double hand basins. The staff at reception speak fluently English and are very friendly and helpful. We hope to stay at this gem again!

It seemed better in the photographs... and also the streets around were under construction which resulted kind of unconvenient, I think they should had said so... and then it would be our decision to stay there or not.

It's a very nice hotel, close to the centre of Nice. The rooms aren't very large, but there's enough space and they're very clean. I must say I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, good quality for the price!

Bathrom door in our room was rotten. The AC in the breakfast room was dripping down on our table. It cost too much for what you get.
